After a day of going blind with wedding dress shopping, my best experience by far was at Blush Bridal. A large part of that experience was my wedding dress consultant, Georgia. Not only did she maximize my in-store experience and help me navigate the very many dress styles, but she took the extra step to text me the next day to see if I had questions or wanted to come back for a follow-up appointment. While I could have technically found this dress anywhere, my experience at Blush Bridal was definitely top notch. The only word of warning I have for brides is to have an approach to tipping in mind before you purchase your dress. I wasn't expecting a tip option to pop up at the time of purchase, and hadn't seen much guidance on dress tipping with my initial research. My surprise turned into immediate anxiety as I had no idea what the industry standard is (and there really isn't one) but I suggest tipping a flat rate rather than percentage (after all, the price of your dress could fluctuate wildly, but ideally the service is the same regardless of that price)--otherwise you might end up well over your budget!

This is my last fitting with Sharon. I have to tape my girls up and in with KT tape(instructions from Sharon)

I found a dress quickly and made the purchase the same day. I had driven from Columbus to Cincinnati to find a dress. After I got home I was having second thoughts. I called the store and talked to the owner and she told me it's normal and to come back and try the dress on again when the person who does the alterations was there, Sharon, could help talk me through what changes she could make on the top of the dress to make it more "me". She did just that! Sharon was wonderful! So much so that I decided to stay with her instead of finding a seamstress in Columbus. I made at least 5 trips to Cincinnati for that appointment plus fittings just to work with her! Sharon and the employees and the owner are professional and so nice! Some of the other stores I felt a lot of pressure to buy a dress. The bridal district has a lot of competition but hands down...I felt at ease at blush bridal!!

I knew I wanted straps of some kind so I left my bra strings. Jami had them brought out decorative straps we could add. I then wanted more

Fantastic! I didn't have an appointment with Blush Bridal when I stopped by on a Thursday. They took me right in and made us (my mom and bridesmaid) feel very welcomed. We got the chance to work with Jami, the manager, and she was very helpful! She understood right from the start what I was invisioning and even helped educate us along the way (like what horsehair meant) so that I could explain what I wanted at other appointments I had. I felt very comfortable letting her know what I liked and didn't like about each dress. When I found the one I LOVED but had an issue with it being strapless, she came out with every possible way to fix my dilemma. So much so, that she contacted stores in the area looking for what I wanted (and illusion topper). She knew this would be my dream dress and she made it happen! The sole reason I didn't give the rating a 5 Star was due to the fact it took a little while to get a copy of my contract and the designer took a while as well to communicate to Blush. I knew I was in good hands but it did put me a little on edge. I ended up getting everything about 3 weeks later so I'm all set! Very great experience and I would suggest them to anyone else as well!

The dress has dropped a palms width. Rouching in the back and middle.

Found my dress! Great to work with and I love how they reviewed my Pinterest board to learn about my style.

Extremely pushy. Charged a shipping fee of $100 even though we took the dress they had in the store.

We moved my wedding date up by three months to have our ceremony with just our parents and witnesses. Karla SAVED ME IN SO MANY WAYS. She did the impossible, she finished my dress three months early. She saw me every day for a week straight, staying late and giving me her own personal time to create my perfect dress. She also officiated our ceremony for us, she did a beautiful job. I truly cannot thank her enough for everything she did for me. She showed up on both my wedding day and three months later, the day of our reception, to personally put me in my dress and ensure everything was perfect. I cannot say enough positive things about Karla and her work. I first met her when she was doing alterations for my best friend's wedding dress. I was so impressed by her work, attention to detail, and positive personality I knew that I would use her for my own dress when I got married. Yes, I had my dress alterations specialist picked out before I was even dating my husband. She is THAT good. When the day finally arrived, I could not wait to get my dress to Karla! She was every bit as excited as I was. I have never felt so pampered and beautiful as when Karla had me in my dress. She is a complete professional and supportive, she has amazing ideas and is in complete support of what your vision is for your dress. I have sent family and friends to Karla and they have also been completely thrilled with her work. There is no one better.

She always made sure I understood what she was doing, and more importantly that it was what I wanted. Not to mention she's one of the sweetest people I think I've ever met! My timeline was a little shorter than usually recommended to brides when having their dress altered, but she still had it ready for me 3 weeks before my wedding date! I will 100% be sending all my friends and family who get married to see Karla.

The nutshell: Our absolutely amazing wedding was at a non-traditional location (20-acre lodge with…read moreoversized barn/garage for our reception), located FAR away from the nearest city, and we pulled it off in 12 weeks. Because we hired Lori. :-) The story... My husband and I have too many projects. :-) April 2018: We reserved the lodge-60 mins from Cincinnati, 120 mins from Dayton. 5.5 months to go. We loved the property! And knew we could have our dream wedding-albeit more work (responsible for *everything*). 12 weeks before the wedding we got down to business. Upon realizing we'd have to bring our own water (well water, no catering kitchen) knew we needed help.. else miss something-like, no water!! :-) Present: Lori. Across all of her reviews I found every point of complexity I could think of with our setup (quick turnaround, always responsive and great to work with, remote location, extra guest management, transportation, and a bunch of other things.) When we talked, she jumped in right away to offer suggestions and didn't even try to sell me on the full planning package (which I clearly needed). In contrast, I had spoken to another wedding planner with an impressive book - but she offered nothing in the consultation and only tried to sell the highest package. I didn't need cookie-cutter "done it a hundred times". I needed someone creative, flexible, who knew what to look out for, would know what "done" looks like, and how to fill in all the gaps to get there. WEDDING DAY: Due to everything else going on at the time, I was not able to "plan" details with Lori as much as she (or I) wanted. She puts in so much work beforehand to make sure everything goes perfectly, writing it down and pre-coordinating with *everyone*. Most critical elements were ready-timeline, flow, etc. But for ours, she had to wing a lot more and finalize night before/morning of (decorations and setup, final gaps). Which I'm pretty sure would scare the heck out of most planners. :-) She was 100% prepared. Everyone knew what they were doing. I gave a bunch of boxes of decorations, the basics of what I wanted, and left creative licensing for the rest. She had headsets for everyone to communicate, split the staff between church and lodge to start. And GO! It was amazing. Everything went so well!! It felt and looked AMAZING! Lori kept everything moving, making sure to fit in everything that was important to us, all the way down to the Fireworks! Behind the scenes... headsets didn't work, no cell/text reception, one of her staff became very ill. And Lori had a very major family emergency earlier in the week. But she still make it work. Seamlessly. Her work ethic is second to none, she is extremely conscientious, and she will make your day or your event the sole focus of hers so you can live in the moment and truly enjoy it. The best thing a bride can say is "It was my perfect day!" And they may not know the detail that went into the day, or all the challenges behind the scene. But in this case, we do. We know and we greatly appreciate how amazing Lori and her entire team were! Our moms were amazed by her, guests told us she was wonderful :-) I was really lucky to find her, and actually miss not talking to her everyday now. Thanks, Lori! Our day was perfect, and our wedding was "us", through and through. We, quite literally, could not have done it without you! We highly recommend Lori. She's great and will make your event, your day, your moment, incredible.

Among many things she did, Lori worked closely with all my vendors and also very hard to create a timeline that allowed us to make the most out of our day. On the day of my wedding, she and her staff were ABSOLUTELY incredible! Hands down! I am not exaggerating. They were 'beasts'! I can't believe how diligently they worked to pull everything off just so we could feel like guests at our own wedding! Lori, Shannon, Rachel... THANK YOU for making our day magical. I will never forget how smoothly our big day went because of the teamwork of all of you. All our love and respect, Henrietta & Jonathan
