After a day of going blind with wedding dress shopping, my best experience by far was at Blush…read moreBridal. A large part of that experience was my wedding dress consultant, Georgia. Not only did she maximize my in-store experience and help me navigate the very many dress styles, but she took the extra step to text me the next day to see if I had questions or wanted to come back for a follow-up appointment. While I could have technically found this dress anywhere, my experience at Blush Bridal was definitely top notch. The only word of warning I have for brides is to have an approach to tipping in mind before you purchase your dress. I wasn't expecting a tip option to pop up at the time of purchase, and hadn't seen much guidance on dress tipping with my initial research. My surprise turned into immediate anxiety as I had no idea what the industry standard is (and there really isn't one) but I suggest tipping a flat rate rather than percentage (after all, the price of your dress could fluctuate wildly, but ideally the service is the same regardless of that price)--otherwise you might end up well over your budget!

The other consultants on the floor were friendly and helpful. I liked that they had food and drink options (we didn't partake) and they had a lot of options for full-figured women which is sometimes rare in bridal. Thanks to Hayley, my sister found the dress of her dreams and the veil to match! Since we're from out of town, Hayley triple checked all the details and made sure we knew the next steps. Most important--they stuck to her budget! Can't wait for my sister's wedding, all thanks to Lace!!

Also, if you're a smaller size, they are not likely to have much for you in general. If you want clean and basic, this is a great option! Unfortunately, I am the opposite and wanted something more unique. I like lace, beading, pearls, and glitter. She brought out of few cute options but they just didn't work for me. The value is there if you can find something you like though. Oh, I will say, I didn't like having to wait outside of the building until they were ready for me. It seemed unnecessary considering I was alone and I saw nobody else inside. (I was cold out there lol)

The business model sounds great, but what you see on Instagram does not match reality…read more The dresses were often looking dirty and worn. As other people have noted, you can't touch or look at any of the dresses so the experience depends on the stylist picking things out. I think this model is weird because the stylist clearly did not understand what I was communicating even though I had pictures and described what I wanted. The worker called me well in advance to ask me about my venue, style of dresses I like, etc. then, on the day I went for the dress, the stylist asked me the same questions again. What was the point of that ten minute call. I also told the lady and the person on the phone I want a certain style of dress. They kept on bringing out random dresses in styles I told them I did not like. After an hour of politely trying on dresses I didn't like, she said she didn't have any dresses in the style I like. If this is the case then I don't know why they didn't just say that and we both could have saved our time. There was not a lot of selection and it also took forever because she was looking for dresses as we met instead of preparing beforehand so there were long pauses. Maybe come here if you want to try on a variety of styles and are okay with long pauses between trying things on. After having to do alterations and dry cleaning the obviously worn dresses, I'm not sure you are saving money by buying a sample dress either. The dresses were not cheap.

My sister booked an appointment here after doing some research online, and we had the shop to ourselves on a Sunday morning. We worked with Erin, who is such a kind person ... thoughtfully picking out dresses that I might like, after asking me several questions about styles and fitting. At the risk of my fiancé reading this review and finding some clues about what my dress looks like, I'll keep the details on the dress I selected very brief. One of the owners, Amanda, arrived halfway through my appointment, and was so knowledgeable about something I was hoping to add to the dress ... it was like she swooped in and saved the day. For someone who had zero experience shopping for dresses like this, Montgomery Bridal made me feel confident and excited. The shop is also in a super cute location, and if you do book an appointment, they'll reserve a parking spot for you in the back to set the tone for a fun and fashionable day.

She pulled a dress for my mom based on other things we had talked about. We ended up walking out of there with a dress and an amazing dress. We were also helped by Susan, just words of encouragement, but she was awesome as well. We went to the queen's lace first, and it was horrible. Absolutely insanely bad, and all the dresses had to be taken off the rack and they were all out of season and wore down. I truly can't believe how much better this bridal studio was. We were even allowed to touch the dresses and look at them, whereas at the Queen's lace we weren't even allowed to look or touch them. And, our stylist there didn't care what we wanted. Whereas Chloe took such good care of us. She let us grab them and she pulled good ones too, she catered and took care of us so well. We will be back!!!

I was not going to do a review but I feel like I need to after my experience at David's Bridal in…read morethe Florence location. I did end up finding my dress at David's Bridal, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. During my appointment, I received very little assistance in the dressing room (I believe the consultants name was Alyce but am not entirely sure) and did not feel supported while trying on dresses. I also was not allowed to try on certain dresses I was interested in, and I didn't get the opportunity to try on the styles I originally came to see. I was very rushed even though I made an appointment. What upset me the most was being told I may need to "try somewhere else" to find a plus size dress that would actually fit me. As a bride, that comment was very discouraging and made me feel unwelcome. In addition, when I picked up my dress, no one discussed alterations or offered guidance on next steps. My dress is too long and will need alterations done but I was not asked or helped. I was simply put into a dressing room by myself and was told "there you go" and "just stand on your tippy toes and the dress will be fine". We literally just tried on and walked out of the building (no one said anything to us by the way) because no one was there helping. They were not busy as we showed up 10 minutes after they opened and no one was shopping yet. And there were at least 3 or 4 girls there walking around. While I'm happy I found a dress I love, I truly wish the customer service and inclusivity had matched such an important experience to me. If I could return my dress and go somewhere else, I would.

As we arrived, we were told someone would be over to assist us. I told them it was okay, and we didn't need assistance. If we had questions or needed help we would go to them. So as me and my mother began looking, a woman named Hailey came over. Her attitude off the bat, was not positive. She said we could look, but we would have to go to the front to sign in for a walk in. I did not know that it's preferred to schedule an appointment before hand. At this point I realized we probably needed to schedule so I apologized, and said if we needed to come back a different day we would. She told us we got there at the perfect time for the last walk in. So we proceeded to go over to the front to sign in. Her tone and demeanor was off from the second we interacted with her, and she made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Although we arrived two hours before the stores closing time, and there was nearly no other customers in the store, I don't understand the need to have an attitude. When you are in a customer service job, there should actually be no attitude give to customers. She completely killed my mood when I was so excited to potentially find my wedding dress. I think, especially with her role of helping women find a dress for their big day, she should be more kind. Wedding dress shopping should be an exciting and joyful experience, and this rude stylist ruined that special moment. After leaving the store I will never come back!!
