Maybe it's my own ignorance thinking a $500 budget for a MOG dress was plenty, but when I arrived and informed them of my budget, and I was made to feel small. My sales associate informed me that all of their dresses were on average $1,000 or higher. Disclaimer: when I made the apt online I noted my budget was $500, no one ever reached out and informed me this was not appropriate for this store. I was given an incredibly small portion of the "discount" and damaged rack of dresses to try. When I finally found pale blue-green dress that could work (It was $200 and heavily pilled and frayed in the seems). I took a photo and sent it to some friends and my husband. They all said it looked white with blue floral application. I'm the MOG, I can't wear anything remotely white (or photographs white) to this or any wedding. When I told them the feedback and that I couldn't get this dress, they started to pressure me pretty hard. I had my Mom and Aunt with me, they were pressuring to, because they knew that was the last dress that was in budget and could work. I finally had to very firmly say "I can't". I was pretty upset I was being encouraged/pressured to settle on a damaged dress that "could work" (not the feeling I was going for), because it was the last one in my budget. After that, I just got dressed and just left. I left feeling upset, small, and overall embarrassed. Went to David's Bridal right after, had amazing service, tried on so many dresses, and picked one that was half of my $500 budget! Helpful Hint: if someone makes an appt at your store, notates their budget, and if it's not realistic, please notify them. Also, there are no prices online to even gauge what caliber of price and product you have in the store. Even your "Tips" section doesn't elude to $500 being a small budget being it's considered a bridal boutique. "Bridal salons and boutique stores can range from $300-$2,000"-directly from your website. --maybe put a statement the average cost of dresses in your shop (that's not on the damages discount rack). read more

Absolutely rude, insanely rude!!! I can't believe they're still in business. Their dresses are very old and most of them are very worn down. There might be 40 dresses at most when looking through your sizes. The dresses were expensive and lots of them gave a "trashbag" look. The lady "Barbra" that helped us used the phrase "well now i'm waiting for ur opinion" in a snobby tone, because I had told her before what I had and hadn't liked. This was very upsetting and made everyone in our group feel very insecure. If you've made it this far... go to Carrie Karibo. We were also rushed through the appointment and were only able to try on 8 dresses during the appointment. We went over to carrie karribo and we tried on over 20 dresses. read more

Went to multiple dress shops and couldn't find mother of the bride dress. This was our 4th stop and we found multiple dresses within 20 min. Ended up buying the dress here. Staff was excellent and worked with us for 1.5hrs to find a dress. read more

This Queen's Lace has amazing service. The staff are quite helpful, very patient and so knowledgeable. I I had the best experience with my daughters and our personal assistant. She was no pressure, and very insightful with assisting us decide what we really wanted. A perfect experience from beginning to end. Will be repeating this the next time I need a formal dress. My mom was dreading the dress shopping experience and was, honestly, really negative about the whole situation. She does not wear dresses and it can be hard for her to find clothes in store. My mom went in like a bear, but the staff at The Queen's Lace worked so hard to turn her attitude around!! They worked with her to find options in her size and encouraged her to try on pieces she normally wouldn't. When she came out of the dressing room wearing her first dress, she was smiling and she looked so pretty! While she tried a lot more, she ended up buying that first dress and later told me she felt like a princess. It was so relieving to hear! We also loved that all the dresses at The Queen's Lace are off the rack, so she could try on and take home that day, simplifying the process. They also carry sizes from a 0-30, which is so rare to find. Knowing they would have dresses in my mom's size that she could try on and not have to be "clipped" into or held whole trying on made for such an amazing and comfortable experience. If only this same experience was offered to bridesmaids and brides of all sizes!! So happy we chose to make an appointment here and, while pricey, I would not hesitate to recommend The Queen's Lace for all moms and grandmas! read more

Went to The Queen's Lace (love the name) with a dear friend today and had the best time. Inside, the feel was warm, welcoming and elegant without being stuffy. Kim and her lovely niece were the most accommodating and helpful women. Their feedback was helpful in practical terms for fit, color and design for our figure types. After making an appointment, the owner got back to me right away to answer any questions and to find the best time for us. We arrived to their friendly, positive energy and mimosas. I gave them the parameters for the dress I was looking for in regards to length, style and color. After appropriate dresses were being pulled, We tried them on. One thing I appreciated was the fact that there were mirrors in the dressing room. The last store I tried on a few, there were none and you were forced to come out in the open to see if you even liked it or not. After seeing me in a few styles, they even brought me a few options they thought would look good on me. The styles were nothing that I would have chosen on my own but incredibly they looked amazing! To help complete the look, they had jewelry for sale too. They were the perfect balance of professionalism, friendliness and helpfulness without hovering needlessly. My friend and I got more than we expected because they helped us choose the looks that made us feel confident, beautiful and comfortable. Most of the stores in the bridal district don't have the inventory on hand to meet a mother of the bride/groom/godmother's wants. This place specifically fills that bill. I highly recommend them. Upon arriving we were greeted with a warm welcome and a mimosa. Samantha was beyond patient and never pressured for a sale. Walked in early for an appointment and was told we had to leave as we could not look through inventory but had to wait until our appointment. Came back and met our stylist who was rather snobby. Very odd considering the size of the place and atmosphere which was mediocre at best. "700+ dresses" seems like a lot until you actually consider how many that is after you break them all down by size. We could not look through dresses - only the stylist. They don't do alterations, everything is only off the rack, so if it's not in your size you can't order it and this really appears like overruns and seconds to me. Gowns are okay - not great but EXTREMELY overpriced, especially considering they aren't even current year gowns!!! Nope - wish I could have given this place zero stars but system won't allow it. Loved it that they judge people based on appearance. I'll take my money elsewhere, and trust me, I could more than afford these trashy, overpriced, expired fashions. I just chose not to. read more

I haven't worn a dress in 25 years and admit I had some anxiety, but she--and the wonderful mimosa she gave me--quickly put me at ease. I was at the Queen's lace this past Saturday looking for a dress for my daughter's wedding. The second time I've been there. Bought a different dress last year for another daughter's wedding. They are so kind and helpful. Very patient and help you find the perfect dress. The dress I was interested in came in 3 colors. I wanted the green but they didn't have my size. They couldn't check to see if they could get my size until Monday. Kim went above and beyond to locate the green dress in my size. They're aren't many places who make you feel as special as this place. I'm so happy. Everyone who works there is so friendly. Sean was my stylist and had the best personality. I felt so comfortable with her and got honest opinions about each dress I tried on. This place is A1!!!! If there was a higher rating they would get it. I was waiting on my daughter and thought to checkout The Queen's Lace for a dress for Mother of the Groom. They made me feel quite at home. I told them what I liked and did not like. I was given a number of dresses. They are off the rack which is nice because you get a better feel for how the dress will look after minor adjustments if needed. Also, you take the dress with you... Makes it nicer than trying out dress sizes that are huge and you can't get a good feel for it. Kim was extremely helpful by making an exception to her no refund rule since I had no family member with me to make a final decision. I appreciate the input they gave me and the help. The staff is wonderful and the selection is great. They have only been open for a short time and they said they are bringing in inventory all the time.
