Beware of any online purchases that you hope to exchange or return at the box stores, it's not as easy as they act like it is on the website! I bought six mother of the bride dresses and none of them worked for me. I called David's bridal before I ordered them online to confirm that I could return them to the store as it is stated on the website. When I got to the store, it was evident that the box stores are "separate" from the online David's bridal and they do not appreciate returning online purchases at their store. Because of a glitch on David's bridal side and after more than an hour in the store waiting, only five of the six dresses I was returning were showing up to be returnable. After being told, I was on my own and had to call the general 1-800 number to try to figure out what happened to the sixth dress, I was finally given a UPS return label a week later from the online David's bridal just to find out that they charged me $15 to return the dress that I had in person at the store a week earlier to return! I did not find the customer service to be helpful or friendly. I would never shop at David's bridal if it was the last bridal store left in the United States! read more

Shop elsewhere. My daughter made an appointment for a consultation for her bridal gown. Our consultant was non existent. We had to ask the cashier where the dresses were and pick them out, try to fit them ourselves, and then tell the cashier which one to order. The only saving grace is the seamstress was excellent and the price was reasonable. You get what you pay for I guess. If we could do it all over, I would have gone to the Reading Bridal district. read more

I scheduled an appointment for me and my bridesmaids today at 4:30pm I came in on time was greeted by a cashier who informed me my consultant that was supposed to be consulting me went on lunch ? Who does that? Why would you literally go take a lunch break 2 minutes before a consultation appointment? The cashier let me know if I needed anything to let her know , we were left to fend for ourselves, never even got a consultation, why bother having a scheduling for a consultation if you don't get one ? We were only asked if we needed anything as we were walking around , no consultant ever came to assist me or my bridal party , one lady just stood off to the side literally standing around doing nothing she ended up being who checked us out was she supposed to be my "consultant"? Very unprofessional staff if you go here your left to fend for yourself they are absolutely horrible at customer service , lucky I didn't come there to get my dress I would have been pissed that no one was there to assist me , it was a disappointing experience, at least we got our dresses but had to do everything for ourselves! No help whatsoever! read more

I made an appointment online and the process was super simple. I showed up a little bit early with my mom and as we waited we were directed to look around at the dresses on the rack while my consultant was finishing up the previous appointment. After looking online there was really only one dress that I wanted to try on but there ended up being several other dresses that caught my eye as we looked around so I tried those too. Although I wasn't completely sold on any dress at David's Bridal and I didn't end up purchasing anything, I'm giving the store 5 stars simply because of the size inclusivity of the available dresses and how amazing my consultant was. I needed a size 18 dress to accommodate my hips and I was able to try on every single dress I wanted in that size because they had that and larger sizes in stock. It was Amazing!! My consultant was also so patient and helpful getting me in and out of all of the dresses and even recommending things for me. This was her first week working there and she seemed like a pro. I probably won't end up buying my dress from here but for my first time trying on wedding dresses the entire experience from start to finish was a dream. Highly recommend coming here as an option in your wedding dress hunt. read more

Terrible customer service! I walked in as three employees including the manager were at the register. I went to stop for shoes for my wedding day and not one person walked through the store or was willing to help me until I went back to the register. I would not return to this location. read more

I am giving this location of David's bridal three stars. It is just OK, not amazingly wonderful nor awful either. I did call to make an appointment to try on bridesmaid dresses, but I don't think you would need one if you were to walk off the street to look at bridesmaid dresses. If you were going to check out wedding gowns, I would definitely recommend calling in advance. On a sidenote, David's bridal does have a clearance rack that some girls might want to check out during prom season. Most of the dresses are made pretty conservatively and have lots of fabric. It might be an option if you are looking to save a bit of money. The staff here was super friendly and overly helpful when looking at dresses. It made the experience very pleasant, and I appreciate a friendly staff. Unfortunately, some of the dresses were not in the best shape nor did they have some of the sizes I needed, but they have a great selection. There are a few sizes in each style of the dress. Know that not every color is available. I found that made a huge difference for me. I ended up liking the dresses in the color of my choice but had a hard time enjoying the styles in a color that did not compliment my skin. Some people are able to see past that and use their imagination to just look at the style, but that was a struggle for me in all honesty. Parking is a little rough at this location. They share a parking lot with Trader Joe's. Unfortunately there is a very busy intersection right in front of the store, so it was hard to even turn into the private parking lot. There were not a lot of parking choices in the lot, so you may need to park elsewhere. read more

Very pleasant experience! Scheduled an appointment months ago for 2:30 on a Sunday. Received a few reminder emails (thank you!!) before my appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early and the associates were ready for me at the front desk! Filled out some very easy paperwork and was on my way to pick out dresses for my bridesmaids! My personal stylist, Amber, was double booked with a bride so I did not see her immediately. Once she touched base with me, she got started right away; helping me with styles, colors and sizes. Amber reassured me that I was not being demanding although it seemed like I was! It was nice to hear that I was not being a bridezilla ha! My girls quickly tried on their dresses and she was very accompanying with exchanging sizes. We were given ample time and did not feel rushed. I fell in love with the first dress my girls tried on, so it was an easy day. Amber took down all the information quickly and was very sweet! As we were paying ($20 off coupon!), one of my bridesmaids wanted to re-try on her dress in a different size. Amber again was accommodating but was a bit snarky about it, like she didn't want to get the dress back out. However, she did, and all was good! I left a happy bride and my bridesmaids left feeling beautiful! *All four bridesmaids dresses were in within two weeks! Picked them all up very easily, happy with everything. read more

My mom and I had a great experience with Jess at David's Bridal in Kenwood! We walked in on a Thursday night expecting to just browse. I wasn't sure what style dress I was looking for. Jess was helpful the minute we walked in the door! She was able to squeeze us in the schedule to try on some dresses and used her keen eye for style to match accessories to give us a "complete look" with veils, jewelry, etc. It was a great experience with her and my mom! read more

The customer service at this store is ABYSMAL. My daughter ordered 7 Vera Wang bridesmaid dresses in a David's Bridal palette color - Quartz. The dresses don't look at all like the color she thought she was getting. So she's gone into the store, called customer service and is getting ZERO help and a ton of attitude. The color is not what she wanted - all she wants is to exchange them for a different color but they have been nothing but awful through this whole process. My best friend who is in the bridal industry called to see if she could help out and was put on hold for 25 minutes! Seriously - if we can't get some help here, I will keep posting on social media about the horrors of David's Bridal. We're talking about an order of around $1500. You really can't help us out here?! read more

Granted I'm not a bride but I do photograph them. A friend and I went to the Kenwood location to check out the sale to get ideas for a look book / portfolio and to buy a few things for an upcoming shoot. I don't need a lot of fussiness but I thought it was weird that we received very little help after being greeted. When we went to check out, Nicole asked for my name. MY name wasn't there but the female version of my name was. I said nope, not me. Her comment was, well , not today. Considering she was a manager, I'm assuming she was just having fun or was stressed. It was just odd. My advise, go to the tricounty store. Better selection and organization with true customer service. read more

So I had an awful experience with a bridesmaids dress I received that had a bum zipper. It basically broke before the wedding and I had to be partially sewn into the dress just to make it down the aisle. I contacted David's Bridal Corporate who contacted the store I ordered from, and they called shortly after. They asked me to bring in the dress to see if measurements were taken correctly. Aka let's see if you got too big for the dress (I hadn't :) but understandable!) Brought the dress in and worked with Brian the manager. I normally HATE situations like this, where there is an issue with a product that has to be solved. Especially having worked retail and dealing with all sorts of crazy situations. I just wanted to say thank you for being kind and bringing about a resolution. I was happy with the end result and Brian was respectful the entire time. Turned 1 star into three! Thanks again. read more

David's Bridal was stop #3 in wedding dress shopping. When I first walked into this store on a Saturday afternoon, it was chaotic. We were immediately greeted by a very nice gal who put me on the list for an available room (we hadn't made an appointment). It took about 15 minutes before a room was open; while we waited I looked at wedding dresses and my sisters looked at bridesmaids dresses. Once we got into a dressing room, it was big enough for me and my younger sister to hang dresses and try them on. However, the store was so crowded that getting in and out of my room was challenging - there were dresses and people everywhere! Our sales girl was very overwhelmed with customers so she wasn't able to spend much time with us initially but would check in from time to time. This was fine with me but if you're looking for the personal one-on-one consultation, I'd suggest making an appointment or picking a different store to dress shop. While David's Bridal wasn't my first choice, the dress I chose was within my price point and was decent quality. Obviously, a $700 isn't as quality as a $2000 but my dress isn't cheap looking or feeling. I'm satisfied with my experience and am very happy with the dress I picked. But just know that if you're looking for the glamorous dress experience, this might not be your place. Also, parking is AWFUL here. read more

Omg! We had such an awesome experience, the absolute best service and Katie was the one who made it all happen!!! She went above and beyond to look for the sizes, colors, styles of exactly what we wanted to order! I was last minute in getting my girls bridesmaids dresses and my mom hers. She even called like 5 different DB to check for what they had in stock. Even when we changed our minds, several times... she stilllllll treated us so professionally and continued to try to makes us happy. Thank you so much Katie! You saved my butt!!!! read more

Upon an initial horrible experience and leaving a very candid review, this David's location was extremely apologetic and open to working to provide better customer service. They hit it out of the park and were extremely giving to make up for our initial bad experience. I really appreciate them listening to their customer's and taking feedback seriously. I had a great experience with David's Bridal when I was looking for my wedding dress. I had made an appointment so me and my "entourage" came in and they were over booked. The consultant that was supposed to be helping me was crazy busy so the manager was the one who helped me through my entire 3 hour appointment. She probably had so many other things that she needed to be doing but she helped me try on every dress and she also knew what dress I wanted but my people wanted me to get a different dress and she helped me through this and I was able to get the dress of my dreams. The only reason why I did not rate them a 5 is because the follow up since then. I was very indecisive with my bridesmaid dresses and I decided to let the girls pick out whatever they wanted. We my consultant didn't change that in the system so I got flooded with calls about my bridesmaid dress being discontinued which it didn't matter because I had changed my preference and even told them of that! read more

I give this place a 2 rating for a couple reasons, more so with one person than the other. I will start by saying that I had 2 appointments on the same day (2/29/2020), one for a bridal and one for bridesmaids. First and foremost DO NOT use "Haley" as your Bridal consultant. I went to other places before David's and while I was with the others, the consultant helped me into every dress I selected to try on, they pulled gowns that I would not have otherwise found or pulled to try on. I am a bigger girl with some "rolls," and every consultant at other locations was able to make every dress I tried on flattering for my body. At my appointment with David's, Haley took my measurements, pulled dresses I selected to try on, and then told me to try them on myself. I'm not sure if anyone reading this has ever tried on wedding gowns before, but it is not a one person show! Haley never asked if I needed assistance until AFTER I asked my maid of honor to help me into a dress. Haley barely spoke any words to me when in the gowns. She just stared blankly at me. She didn't adjust, tuck, tie, or make the dresses flattering on me. When I asked alteration questions about specific gowns, I was repetitively told "I'm not sure," with no offer or initiative to find out the answers for me. After the 4 gowns, I had nothing else to try on so I changed into my normal clothes. Haley was no where to be found. I expected her to be looking for more dresses, but was helping another appointment that wasn't hers to begin with. Myself, my Maid of Honor and my bridesmaid left with about an 60 of our 90 minute appointment still available, explaining we would return for the bridesmaid appointment...only if Haley was not our consultant again. Fortunately, she wasn't. Which is where the pleasantries begin. Upon returning about an hour later, we were greeted by Jasmine, who happened to be the manager on duty at that time. I mention she is a manager because it took her almost 40 minutes to actually help pick dresses, get my girls to their fitting rooms, etc. because she was being pulled in 15 different directions assisting with other consultants. Every time she walked past us, she apologized. Even if it was an "I'm so sorry" as she moved right on past. When she finally got some one-on-one with myself and my girls, the first thing she did was apologize for the long wait and that even thought they closed at 730 that evening, she would make sure we had the full 90 minute appointment, if we needed it. During the appointment, Jasmine made all of us girls feel welcomed and comfortable, even if we didn't feel it. She went scouring for dresses that complimented each other beautifully. When asked a specific alteration question, she went and asked Nadine in Alterations to come out and explain exactly what would have needed to be done to that particular dress. Both Jasmine and Nadine explained the pricing for alterations, etc. Overall, a pleasant experience. I just DO NOT recommend Haley as a consultant to anyone who chooses to shop at David's. read more

Just picked up my bridesmaid dress for a friends wedding. I tried it on and I'm glad I did. It is SUPER wrinkly. When I asked the employee if they would steam it I was told that they do that when my alterations are done otherwise it would be $15. I am not getting my alterations done there because I have a family member that can do it for free. But they expect a customer to pay $180 for a dress and have it given to them super wrinkly?! Not impressed. read more

First off, Thank you David's Bridal, Kenwood for making my day stress free, exciting, and overall wodnerful . When we arrived at David's Bridal, Kenwood, OH, our day was not going well. My mom had travelled 4 hours to come to my appointment with me only to find out that there had been a mix up with Florence, KY David's Bridal and they were not going to be able to fit me in until late that evening. David's in Kenwood welcomed me with open arms to their store for an appointment right away and I could not be happier that it worked out this way. I was shocked that they were able to fit me in on such short notice on a sales weekend. When we arrived Brian, the store manager, greeted each of us warmly and gave me my goodie back as well as set things in motion. A friend had recommended requesting Courtney as my consultant and she was available! She immediately looked at my favorite style of dresses I had saved on my phone previously, took my measurements ( because I had no idea what I was doing) and helped me pick out 7 fantastic dressing in no time! She was great with helping me put on the slips and dresses, pulling everything off and putting it back on again and again, clipping and tying so they fit as close to perfect as possible. She listened to my likes and dislikes and pulled other dresses based on those opinions all the while staying within my relatively low budget. She helped me find the absolutely perfect dress. I felt stunning and not only did I feel amazing but after trying on several different styles I knew that I was confident in my choice. During my appointment the rest of the team including Crystal, Brian, and another lady in alterations (hate that I didn't catch her named) checked in on me and providing great advice and answers to any questions I had. I felt like family before leaving there and this is why I will be traveling back to Ohio for my fittings and alterations despite the fact that other stores may be a little closer. Love, love, love this team and could not have been happier with the outcome! read more

The excitement I felt when my brother's fiancee asked me to be a bridesmaid was squelched when I learned she expected us to get our dresses from David's Bridal. My previous experience with this company was for my own wedding, wherein my mother and I were only in the establishment for about 20 minutes when she pulled me aside and said, "We need to leave this place, it's terrible. Tell them I'm sick and we have to go. Say I've got explosive diarrhea and we need to leave, anything. Let's just go!" Note, that was a different location, but I think that sums up most people's feelings about this bridal chain. My 3 trips to this establishment for these upcoming October nuptials were on par with that. Honestly, my first trip wasn't terrible, but it was at a different location, so this location does not get the benefit of an extra star for the Tri-County location's comparatively superior customer service skills. But also, I had the bride with me, so they didn't treat me like I was a fat bridesmaid, about to test the physical constraints of the stitching on their dresses by stuffing myself into it like sausage casing. This, sadly, was my experience at the Kenwood location. Knowing that I had a bride to keep happy, I bought the overpriced and poorly made dress, made an alteration appointment that I don't plan to keep, and left with a heavier than it already is, fat heart. I expect that kind of treatment from, say, the Victoria Secrets of the world, but I was hopeful that my fat frame walking through the doors of David's Bridal wouldn't be met with complete indifference and what seemed like disgust from the employees. But guess what, non-fat people, we tubby people have feelings, too, and it hurts just as much when you ignore or demean us because of our appearance. Extra star is for being located next door to Trader Joe's, so I could console my fat heart with food shopping afterwards, which, as everyone knows, is what we large women live for. Also of note: worst parking lot ever. Honestly, Trader Joe's should purchase the David Bridal's space, tear down the wall for expansion, and get the entire parking lot all to themselves. Then, put a David's Bridal in the mall across the street, because you know walking into a mall, you're day is probably going to be ruined anyway. read more

Came to help my sister find a dress for a beach wedding along with my two other sisters. The appointment started great- the sales girl found my sister's favorites we booked online and began helping us pull a few from the list. She then pointed us to the 'beach' section and let us look for a bit. When my sister tried on her gowns the sales girl started off super attentive- she got her dresses off the hangers and into the dressing room, clipped her dresses to show off her figure, brought over sashes to accessorize, and asked for feedback to make sure the selection was what she had in mind. Then, another bride began trying on gowns next to us and our sales girl pretty much disappeared to help the other bride, who already had not one but TWO sales girls assisting her. The 3 sales associates were helping her into her gowns, bringing over veils and sashes, bringing her more dresses, and giving the other bride an amazing experience while my sister was left to get her own dresses into the dressing room, hang them back up, and was not brought anymore veils or accessories. She was not asked for any feedback on her dresses and was not brought anymore dresses based on her trial dresses. The most she got was a call from across the dressing area asking if she was ok. Afterward we walked through the bridesmaid section and after a while our sales girl called out again if we were okay before returning to help the other bride with the rest of the staff. We were then left to wander through the veils, head pieces, and jewelry alone. After this experience (which I compare to another experience I had with another bride at another David's Bridal) I can say that my sister will purchase her dress from another store as will the other 3 sisters who are all 3 looking elsewhere when it is time to look for our dresses here in the very near future. read more

Went here to shop for bridesmaid dresses for my future sister-in-law's wedding (re: my brother's wedding). I didn't really know what to expect since I'm pretty new to all of this wedding business, but even though I don't have much experience in doing wedding-esque things, I'm pretty sure our "consultant" could have done better. Look, I know it's David's Bridal and I wasn't expecting Randy from "Say Yes to the Dress" to greet us and show us a magical time, but oh my damn. Our consultant seemed like she did not want to be there, and just acted confused the entire time. When I would ask to see the catalog she would act like I wasn't allowed, and whenever fellow bridesmaids or myself would ask for, say, another size or some dress clips, it was like she'd never been asked for such a thing in her life. We also felt pretty rushed out of there because the place was PACKED. But I digress; I give this place 3 stars because I didn't go in expecting to be wowed. We had a mission, we completed it fairly unscathed, end of story. read more

Cute dresses but less than average customer service. I came here every year since 2014 to get my homecoming dress and everytime it's the same charade regardless of if there's an appointment made or not--we arrive, get an inattentive consultant, and serve ourselves. I'd have to say last September was the worst experience however, when I got my consultant she just stared at me until I walked up to her and said, "hi my name is Gabby." No big deal awkward moments happen to all of us. Then my mother told her that we were looking for a dress that wasn't too expensive because we're really trying to save for my prom dress. While browsing the attendant stated, "let me look at the discount rack because mom can't afford an expensive dress." Which is a VERY RUDE thing to say. Nonetheless we got a dress and after purchasing she told us if we come back for prom dresses they'll be able to track them as to not sell them to anyone else in my school. Well, a few months later we come back only to be informed that policy doesn't exist. Needless to say we're done shopping at David's Bridal (at least this location) forever. read more

I've been in 5 weddings and though this place was amazing for time and cost of a last minute bridesmaids dresses, the service at this particular location was terrible. We shopped and found our ideal dresses at the David's bridal location in tri-county (they were amazing and so helpful to us) but for some reason the bride preferred to order at this location. When we came in to order, the store was so entirely chaotic no one greeted us, it was after 10 minutes of standing there that I had to seek someone to help us. The coworker we had simply hated her life that day and was rude (which is odd cause we literally just came in to place our order and pay). Our dresses came in a timely manner but picking then up was as chaotic as placing them (you have to sign a contract and at first was given the wrong dresses). I would say to avoid this place at all costs. read more

There is plenty of room for improvement here. I made the mistake of being 10 minutes late to my appointment, completely my fault. However, I had one style in mind that I wanted to try on, a $700 Melissa Sweet skirt that was not in stock. I was assigned an associate that was splitting her time between another bride and myself. The gentleman that introduced us showed her what I was interested in and she said, "Oh, that's a two-piece!". Ok captain obvious, I know what I picked. She asked if I had an open mind for another dress she had in mind, and I said sure. We did, after all drive 30 min out of our way and by this point my husband had also picked out something he wanted me to try. She lead me over to a mess of crinoline that was balled up in a plastic bag whose only similarity to the skirt I had wanted to try was that it was tiered. When I said "oh that's a big dress!" she argued that it actually wasn't, and that any dress I chose would be big like that, she assured me. That sounded ridiculous to me, but ok. We had described that we were renewing vows on the beach, so the choice seemed odd given what I had described I was after; I could imagine the back and bottom getting filthy dragging through the sand. The dress she had chosen seemed too small, and when she had asked my size I told her I didn't know, especially because bridal sizing is different. This is where someone might offer to take some measurements, but no. By the way, a hallmark of excellent customer service would be showing even a modicum of interest in the person you are serving; asking questions about the event and perhaps even expressing some excitement for the customer's big event. This can help to make a sale by establishing a personal connection with the customer and making them feel special. This concept was completely lost on the woman they assigned to me, but as this appointment rolled downhill I had to remind myself I wasn't at Nordstrom's after all, I was in the "Walmart of Bridal Wear." She asked if I wanted her help in the fitting room and I politely declined, to which she responded "OK, but these aren't ordinary dresses and they are delicate". Yes, they are not ordinary dresses, they are filthy, makeup-stained floor models missing more sequins than Richard Simmons in Liza Minelli's prom dress. I was sure I could not only handle getting myself into them, but also wanted privacy because of my undergarments. My butt is my business. When I emerged without the dress on, she asked me "Are you sure it didn't fit?" I said "Yes, I'm sure." Only because I'm fairly certain that when I began dressing myself as a toddler, I understood that if my legs don't fit, the outfit won't work. Wtf, seriously. I went in to try on the one my husband had chosen and that did fit, however when I emerged she said nothing. No excitement, no compliment, she walked over to clasp one of the back clasps and left the other undone, then walked away. My husband had to I ask if I wanted him to do the other clasp. At this point, I was done. I returned the coupon bag with a travel toothpaste to the front and the service desk woman looked shocked. Then my dress lady walked over and asked if there was anything else I wanted to see, and I again politely declined and thanked her, to which she said nothing. The gentleman called out the door to have a nice day so that was a lovely touch. Really long story short, you won't feel special, the dresses are dirty, but you'll get a free toothpaste if you want it. Upside? It's next to Trader Joe's, so you can get some cheap groceries on your way out. read more

I came here to find a bridal gown and was abhorred at their service -- it is the worst. They were really rude, fake, and I felt like my appointment was all about the their commission. I thought I was going to go to just find a dress but the terrible service made it really hard to find anything. I thought this was just the sad reality of David's bridal services, but then.. I went to the DB near Tricounty mall and the service was 1027392028201 million times better! The lady there helping me was so much more mature, personable, and actually seemed to care. She also picked out the perfect dress for me at a cheaper price ($399!!) which was in my price range, whereas the lady at Kenwood's DB kept sighing "*sigh* there's nothing in your price range" and tried to get me to buy really expensive dresses. I visited this store with my dress in the hopes of finding a matching belt, hat/veil and purse. I wandered around and around the store holding my dress and it's not a giant store. No one came to help me. There were some brides that were trying on dresses and looked as though they had appointments. That's fine, I understand that those associates were busy BUT there were several other employees chatting near the registers who never acknowledged me.
