I got this one mixed up with another restaurant. They hosted my father-in-law's dinner with the family after his funeral. The food was outstanding. My mother-in-law cannot wait to go back. The service was also outstanding they completely aim to please. The views are gorgeous, very pretty and calming restaurant. The chicken piccata was out of this world! The French onion soup people wanted seconds. The penne vodka was amazing. The people that had the flame mignon said it was one of the best they've ever had not one person left unsatisfied or hungry I highly recommend it is worth the trip worth the price worth it all! read more

My band, The Mugshots, played here last September, and all of our families came out to see us. The food was fantastic and the staff was even better. This is one of the best places we've ever played in terms of hospitality and overall venue feel. In the summer you can catch some great sunsets from the outside dining area. Haven't been here for a while first time since they changed names/ owners . ( not sure which) Finally today I went for lunch with friends, and it was so very delicious ! I got the grilled cheese with short rib sandwich and it was perfection ! I also got sweet potato fries instead of the regular and they were so waffled and not greasy and delicious ! The sandwich came with a side of horseradish and with the sweet potato fries there was like a honey dipping sauce ...amazing! Definitely will go back again try the other amazing things on the menu. Went for brunch. My meal was terrible - poached egg was over cooked; English muffin was hard; home fries were cold. I had to walk around to three tables to find a pepper shaker that wasn't empty. We weren't given silverware when seated and had to ask after our food arrived. We never got refills of our water either. There was a lazy teenage employee near the hostess stand sitting down talking to the hostess the entire time we were there. I'm sure she wasn't getting paid to sit and talk to the hostess and could have definitely made sure people had silverware and that the salt and pepper shakers were refilled. Disappointed doesn't begin to explain the experience. Will never go back. read more

We went to the outside bar and ordered 2 spicey Rita's. $10 each. They were disgusting. It was just tequila and sour mix. Tiny plastic cups and the bartender told us he couldn't put salt on it because it doesn't stick very well. Totally get it but it CAN be done. Okay let me stArt by saying first the views in this place is beautiful and peaceful. The staff are all very wonderful. the food is a bit pricey in my opinion but the drinks aren't so I feel it balances out. I had the stir fried and loved it!! The portions are very large! My husband had scallops and he loved it as well. My mother has the Fish and chips were very good she said. I am all about dessert and the chocolate cake was Deeeeeelicious!! We got our kids the pizza as the kids meal didn't appeal to them and it was a great size and tasteful. I would definitely recommend this place but just be prepared to have a pricey bill. read more

We had our wedding ceremony and reception in November 2023 at the Waterfront. I wanted to say that from the beginning, the entire staff had been supportive and attentive to a majority of our needs. It started when I booked about a year and half early, as I have been in the process of planning for quite some time and wanted to get a jump on things. We ended up getting in contact with Joe and, after a wonderful dinner, we discussed what we were looking for in the wedding and about our theme ('Godzilla and Grace'). Joe loved our theme and genuinely seemed enthusiastic for us. On top of the enthusiasm, the price and general terms of celebrating at the venue were great. Building up to the wedding, Joe and his team of Michael and Caitlin were responsive to our emails and constant questions. We received updates, had a fantastic tasting and were reassured. We ended up having our rehearsal dinner there, with the walkthrough being smooth and straight forward. The dinner itself was delicious. We ordered from the normal dinner menu and it was an amazing preview to the meal on the big day. On the wedding day itself, Michael and team were kind enough to let my bridal party in early to the bridal suite for hair and makeup prep. The heater in the room ended up not working and Michael was quick to get us a space heater. As we grew closer to the ceremony, Caitlin kept us up to date and from my perspective in bridal suite, took care of everyone and had the outside area set up beautifully for the ceremony. We even got a platter of snacks for the bridal suite. At the ceremony itself, Caitlin ensured that everyone went smooth and the entire process was smooth and exactly how I hoped it would go. She even made sure the flower girl made it down the aisle. While we were taking pictures outside during cocktail hour, Caitlin was sure to bring out the appetizers so that we could share in what our guests were tasting. And trust me, the guests enjoyed every bit of it, raving about the appetizers and their fantastic taste and quality. The reception went off without a hitch. Caitlin and Michael were able to set the hall into what we imagined for our Godzilla theme, keeping close to what we wanted but making adjustments for what we didn't account for - we didn't think to put the table 'place cards' on a separate table, arranging the sweetheart table, ect. All the guests complimented the staff on how attentive and polite they were as well! The food, which we had a buffet was amazing and there was enough variety for everyone to eat. The timing went wonderfully and we were given a heads up right before a major 'event' was going to happen. Caitlin also made sure we ate then too, something I was warned by my friends to not forget to do. Once things had wrapped up, the team cleaned up quickly, taking care of everything for us. They packed all the decorations we wanted to keep, trashed the ones we did not and even saved leftovers for us. On top of all that, they were willing to hold them overnight so that we could pick them up in the morning. Overall, I would highly recommend the venue for the for the great service, fantastic food and fair prices. We had a great time and there's not a negative memory throughout the whole experience. Visited family for 4 day weekend. Went to The Waterfront for Saturday night dinner. I had the Asian Salad with filet. The combined flavors in the salad were extraordinary with the addition of the filet, just over the top for me. It is my favorite salad now. I love eating salads and this one is my new favorite. It was so large I had enough for another meal. My niece had a stir fry, and she loved it. The fresh vegetables and tender chicken and shrimp made for a very enjoyable meal. Then my husband, he had the cowboy ribeye with rootbeer bacon and onion rings. I posted photos around the parts he dove into. He took one bite and could not stop. It was so good. The steak cooked to perfection, the bacon was amazing, and I stole a piece. Shocking was the onion rings. Most restaurant onion rings are stringy or mushy or dry inside. We rarely get onion rings that we find delicious. These onion rings were tender and sweet onions on the inside crispy coating on the outside. Our server Eric was so nice and very attentive to our needs and it was a busy night. We still received excellent service. Great job to the staff and management. There is even live entertainment. Excellent band playing outside at lower level where there is more seating and a bar. This place goes on and on. So big. EVERYTHING was so good we came back for Sunday breakfast. We were first at the doors so I took photos to show how nice this place is. Then it was time for breakfast. I had pigs in a blanket and my husband had avocado toast. Not what you expect. They were both large enough to take home leftovers. The food again amazing and the iced coffee... so good! There is no bitter taste to it. The iced coffee is new here and is not on menu yet. Don't be afraid to ask for it. I did. Our server this time was Kim. So nice and again very attentive, even though right after opening, people were coming in and they were getting busy. This establishment has been a staple in my town. Recommend by clients, friends and family. Tonight I decided to bring my sister for a girls/mom out dinner. From the moment we sat to the moment we were rushed out to leave was beyond my observation of customer service could be. This wasn't our first time there as I am local and also a frequent customer. Our server was extremely rude from the minute she had to tend to us. Seemed as if she was annoyed we were even there to begin with. However we ignore the fact that she was dismissive and rude and went along with what we initially wanted our night to follow. As our time there we were finally enjoying our drinks, there was a server who came by our table and started cleaning with detergent(we weren't even done and they weren't close to closing) I politely asked if they were closing as I noticed it was only being done at our table and he snapped and said well this is what I was told to do. You see, everyone talks in this town about customer service but when things like this happen it really makes you wonder why the sudden different treatment to others. This has been an establishment where I frequent and so many of my friends and colleagues, but tonight I left with a really bad taste. Maybe it was bc we were speaking Spanish ? Maybe bc we were properly dressed to go out and dine like we would anywhere ? If you have servers that just don't want to do the work, then get rid of them. So sad bc this place was our spot. I've heard the service hasn't been great but it's different when you experience it yourself. Management should take better consideration to address protocol and customer service considering this inflation our country is facing. read more

My guest and I arrived here at 4:30 on a Saturday. I appeared that the entire first floor was closed for some sort of private event at this time so we were instructed to go to the second floor. However the third floor bar was not open either. There was an hour wait for outdoor seating and were were told the wait for seating inside was 15 minutes. We gave our phone number at 4:40 but weren't called for over 35 minutes. They attempted to seat us at a tiny bar high top and I requested that we sit at a real table. They did accommodate my request. We ordered one cocktail, one beer, one soda, the shrimp cocktail and Mexican street corn quesadilla appetizers, the teriyaki chicken bowl and the steak frittes entrées. The shrimp cocktail was good. The shrimp were large and cooked well. The Mexican corn quesadilla was edible but boring. It was charred corn and cheese with chicken (the chicken was an add on). It resembled nothing like elote. The teriyaki bowl was a large portion and tasted good. The steak frites was ok. The steak was cooked properly but the fries were greasy and the vegetables were rather mushy and very under seasoned. Also, I found it interesting that the "Steak Frites" (regular menu) and "The Filet" special appear to be the same thing (only difference being the preparation of the potato) but the special costs MORE. What's special about that? Seemed a bit shady. The one thing that made my experience here really hard to enjoy was how flippin' hot in was in the restaurant. It was 75° outside but I was SWEATING at our table inside (in a short sleeve shirt). There are no ceiling fans or cracked windows, the air was just hot and stagnant. We also were in direct sunlight for most of our meal (see photos). My beer was warm after two sips. Three quarters of the way through our meal, I took it upon myself to lower the shade on the window but it was still very uncomfortable. The wait staff was attentive. Like, very very attentive. At first we thought our waitress was pining for a good tip but then it almost seemed like she was eager to get us to leave and seat the next party. She must have come to the table just to "check on us" over 10 times. Our total was $125 (with 25% tip) and I feel like that was fair. This location has a nice view but needs to open up all available space if possible. There was so many empty tables and closed areas completely unoccupied throughout the 3 floors, the hour wait time at 4:30pm on a Saturday wasn't necessary. If they take reservations, I would recommend making them if you can. read more

Hello fellow yelpers! So I've been to this restaurant before under a few other names . I was happy to see it opened and new management. This review is for the patio and while it may seem harsh, it's fair to set expectations appropriately for new comers. Location and Ambiance- First this is a great location, Come by car or by boat eat in your boat or at a waterside tent which has a bar and cover/ uncovered seating. All drinks served in plastic. in fact so is basically all the food. Our trip to waterfront was on a Friday night, we got the perfect table under the tent out of the sun and still a beautiful view of the water and the boats. Far enough from the band and close enough to enjoy them. Honestly this is why anyone would come here. The Food and Service- The wait staff is pleasant and efficient. Drinks came quickly even though it was a crowded Friday night crowd we order our drinks and appetizers. We order Buffalo wings and chips and salsa .. they were delivered in plastic containers that reminded me of kids lunchables. Lol and they weren't great. The chips were not restaurant style chips but movie theater style circles. A hard pass for $12. The chicken wings were undercooked and almost no sauce with celery and blue cheese. Both appetizers were a disappointment but the beers cold and the company good. Onto the main course.. I had an fire roasted personal pan pizza, my date had the braise brisket sandwich my pizza was as amateurish as the lunchables appetizers.. rebaked pizza crust warmed up with toppings, my wife enjoyed the brisket sandwich .. I actually stole half of her sandwich. Again the cold beer, good company and great atmosphere can cure a lot of sins. Overall I give is a 3 stars. Two appetizers, two entrees and 6 plastic cup drinks $120 +tip. We'll definitely go back but I imagine with just a little effort in the menu and attention to the food, this place could be outstanding .... Keep in mind it's already good enough to be packed all weekend. read more

The name.. yup sounds promising in the summer. A complete letdown and waste of money. The view is great but not worth $120 for an hour with below subpar views and watered- down drinks. I ordered the ahi tuna salad- I kid you not it was two slices of tuna cut into threes and displayed on 6 slices of cucumber for $22.00. A few shredded carrots and a couple tomatoes. When we sat down, we looked at each other( my husband and myself) and said wow this is great, this might be our place to come back even by boat.....nope! You will get no more of my hard earned money. Maybe that's why it's changed names a few times. Oh well, lesson learned. read more

We hosted my daughters bridal shower at the Waterfront the end of April. We can not say enough good things, everyone that worked behind the scenes and on the floor were amazing, the food was delicious and the place looked terrific. We were excited to dine there last evening and left disappointed. Ate at the Rising Tide at night so I couldn't comment much on views. There was a wedding downstairs so the music was loud on the second level too except you couldn't hear it so just a lot of noise for restaurant diners. We both had the lobster bisque and that was the highlight of the meal. No bread (not sure why places in NJ Shore don't put out bread cause in No NJ that is the norm). I had the fish & chips basket and my wife had Chilean Sea Bass. The fish & chips was plenty but definitely was from some preprocessed package as all the pieces were exactly the same shape (felt like Mrs Paul but bigger). Taste was nothing special. Fries are fries, cole slaw a little bland, and tartar / cocktail sauces ok. The Chilean Sea Bass with wild rice and mixed vegetable were cooked ok. According to my wife, the first couple bites were good but the wild rice and vegetables quickly soured. She stated that the rice/vegetables also had a prepackaged taste to them. At the end, fried Oreos were good. All drinks - a few wines, coke, coffee were good. Service was ok - not great but not bad. Especially for the price ~$100 for two, should have been a lot better. read more

Just really bad. We had from them a few times last year and it was good- this weekend it was really terrible. We ordered about 5 sushi rolls and they called back to say they ran out of crab sticks...I've NEVER heard of a place that does sushi run out of that as an ingredient since it's used in so many rolls. The eel roll tasted like a dirty old band-aid with anti-septic on it. Crabcake sandwich was fishy, oil soaked and tasted old. The worst though, my son ordered a sandwich with steak on it that tasted like a pot roast that was made last year, sat around for a week, got frozen and was defrosted last week for service this week. It was nasty. Food being ready on-time for pickup was the only good thing. Shape up! read more

I called to ask if we needed a reservation since we were going around 6pm and the gentleman who answered the phone was very pleasant and said we did not but asked how many were in our party. I let him know how many and he asked if we needed a high chair to which I said yes thank you! And he told me to just come on over and they'd have a table waiting for us. We took longer than expected but when we got there and they asked how many they knew I was the one who called and he showed us right to our table which was perfect with a great view. All the years I've been down here I don't remember ever eating here. I guess I'd hit Captains Inn and not continue down the road. Big mistake on my part. Hit there today and had a great dinner. Food was very good and service was great. Can also see that it's a great place to dine in the summer on the water. A lot smaller than I expected which I'm sure means it thought to get in during the summer but overall great place for dinner. Will definitely come back to try more. read more

Went Monday night, and sat outside. The waitress (Missy) took our drink order and food order(Burgers) .We also ordered Nachos. The Nachos came and we're tasty. After about 40 minutes . We ordered a 2nd drink as our burgers never came out . About two minutes after the 2nd set of drinks arrived the waitress put the bill on the table and continued walking. The burgers ( which never came)weren't on the bill . We sat stunned finally deciding to just pay and leave. More angry at not getting our food was the fact the bill was just plopped on the table . We were never asked if we wanted anything else , at which time we would have said " Yes our food ", lol. Either way we won't be back to The Waterfront anytime soon. read more

It's a beautiful place for a quick drink and a bite to eat, but it should have been made more into a lounge bar rather than a fancier restaurant. I got the seafood platter and I was somewhat disappointed. The shrimp and scallops were good, but everything else was mediocre at best. The lobster tail was tough as leather and the crab cake was not for me. I Beautiful view and great service, but the food (and pricing) is definitely left to be desired. This is also coming from a huge seafood fan, so take my review with a grain of salt if you are coming for other items as I only had the seafood. I've been here many times! Food is always on point- there bloody Mary's are amazing!!! They make there own mix and has the perfect kick!!! I love a good dock and dine and watching the boats come in and out... had a great band playing songs you can sing too! Our waitress could've been more attentive- they did send out the wrong food... I ordered a turkey wrap with sweet potato fries and they sent over a turkey club with chips!
