Recently dined at this restaurant on the Atlantis Golf Course in Little Egg Harbor. We are a family of 5 with some picky eater teens. Not our first time eating here. There is always something on the menu for all of us. We went on a Saturday, their Prime Rib night. Also live music that night. The food was delicious with good portion sizes. We have not been to this place in a very long time, since we had our wedding reception there 51 years ago. What a wonderful place this has turned into, the food was beyond awesome, the atmosphere was very nice. (lively but not too loud) and our waitress was more than we could've asked or expected. My wife had the coconut shrimp, which was everything that you would expect it to be, very fresh very vibrant flavors. I had the lamb chops, which were really great and cooked perfectly. read more

Last night I attended a demostration event at Cuisine on the Green. It was Argentine Cuisine; chorizo on french bread, green salad, steak asparagus and roasted potatos, some kind of cream cheese, dulce de leche and chocolate brownie thing. A $10 bottle of Malbec spit bucket wine was available to buy. It was DISGUSTING. It wasn't Argentinian. The chorizo appetizer was cold. The FRENCH bread was rock hard stale. Green salad is green salad, hardly a dish that originated in Argentina. The empanada was cold and the inside of the pastry was raw stuffed with a bit of gray chopped meat. The entree steak was so tough and overcooked to medium well, slathered with oil, parsley, and cilantro "sauce". Roasted potatoes overcooked and greasy. My entire plate was awash in a puddle of oil. The dessert was gooey and the chimichurra was raw dough in the center. The demonstration could not been seen. No monitors, no mirrors, no platform and I was seated at the very back of the room. Just some guy enjoying the sound of his own voice in front of a hot plate. Spicy food is supposed to have layers of nuanced flavors but from the first bite, my mouth started to burn. Not from chili or cayenne or cumin or any of the things I was expecting to savor but from salt and black pepper. I was never able to taste anything at all except oil and salt and black pepper. Let's not forget to mention, 3 hours in a hard wooden chair that could serve as cruel and unusal punishment! $68 for this?? Not a second time! read more

Just like Chet Rippley in the Great Outdoors, eating the Old 96er, I can throw the beef down like a bawss, including the grissle. I truly wanted to like this restaurant; I'd heard about it for a few years and finally decided to go. the French Dip meat was not moist; the Cuban sandwich was an awful attempt at a classic. In other words, this was not a good experience. And having to drink gallons of water several hours afterwards is a signal that everything was overly salted! ( side note: the drinks, which have nothing to do with the students, were not drinkable; how can you mess up basic cocktails? Well, if you don't know how to bartend correctly, that's how) Perhaps if we came for an actual dinner in the main dining room and had a real meal, then it might have been better; don't waste your time with lunch. read more

Great restaurant and great service. Food is consistently very good because of Chef Bruce's attention to detail. The Nashville Chicken Sliders are a must have when you visit. The bar is a fun atmosphere with Jenn and Bruce making all feel like family when you're there. read more

went to Italian demo tonight. first you really don't see much on how or what they are cooking. they got rid of the screen. when the main entree came out we were the last table served. but my friend and I didn't get a meal. we waited about 3 minutes and thought they truly didn't know we didn't get our food. but it finally came out much smaller in size as compared to others as they didn't have enough and had to make two more servings and was cold. I tried to tell the waitress and finally a waiter but bruce didn't come out and we had no good entree to eat. spoke to Bruce afterward and all he said was I am sorry . nothing more so not worth the money felt like they could have done more for us. the demo is just ok nothing special and there are better places to see cooking demos read more

Cuisine on the Green, how do I rate thee? I visited this establishment over the Labor Day weekend while visiting family in the area and I have to admit that I toiled over how many stars to award this joint. While the food was pretty darn good, the service was a bit slow. It appeared to this Yelper that our server, Mike, wasn't being lazy or inattentive, rather he was just overly busy. Maybe the management should put more servers on the floor? I guess three stars will be awarded rather than the four I would give them had the service been spot-on. Upon arriving at "The Green" with our party of five, I decided to dine in the pub area as I was afraid that we might have been a bit under-dressed for the restaurant. We were quickly seated at a high-top table in the pub and were warmly greeted by our server, Mike. I quickly scanned the appetizer menu and ordered the crab with artichoke dip, as well as an order of the clams casino for the table to share. My step-father decided that he would order a cup of cream of mushroom soup to supplement his share of the appetizers. After chugging down some ice cold IPA beer, the apps arrived and I can report that the dip and clams were good, but not blow-your-socks-off fantastic. However, my step father RAVED about the mushroom soup! I decided to try a spoonful of the soup to determine for myself if it truly was good, or if rather his palate was a bit off. Let me tell you: HOLY HELL was that soup fantastic! It was far and away the best mushroom soup I have ever tasted and I let our server, as well as the manager, Gary, know it. I even joked with our server and the manager about what my chances of getting the recipe were... Speaking of the manager named Gary, I offered to purchase from the restaurant the beer glass that contained my girlfriends beer, but Gary wouldn't budge! It was a pretty neat glass that had the Philadelphia Eagles logo on it and it would have made a nice addition to the beer glass collection. It's too bad Gary didn't want to part with the glass because I was willing to go upwards of $10 to acquire it. For the main entree I ordered the Viking Village Scallops and was a bit under-impressed with the dish, especially when I sampled the Prime Rib that others in my party ordered. Damn it, why do I always order the wrong thing? - the prime rib was delish! The salad that accompanied my scallops was awesome, I loved the blue cheese dressing! Here is a helpful hint for ya, you can visit Viking Village on Long Beach Island and buy scallops right off the boat; they are twice the size as the ones served here. My girlfriend ordered the Ribs and Chicken meal and it was GIGANTIC! While the ribs were not as succulent as I would like, they weren't awful either. However, the hand cut fries that came with her dish were really good. I can't speak of the chicken, as my belly was starting to feel like it was about to explode from tasting everyone's entree's at this point so I skipped a sampling. However, she indicated that it was a tad dry and was thankful it was smothered in BBQ sauce. Reserved a table in the bar area for four of us on, what turned out to be, a very busy Saturday night. Food was prompt, hot and delicious. Had chips & hummus to share and it was enough for 4 people. No complaints about the Chicken Cuisine, flatbread or ribs. The steak filet was a little overdone but good nonetheless. Chicken, ribs and beef came with a side salad. Only "complaint" is only one choice for potato is fries, no baked potato and no veg. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Considering how busy it was she kept our drinks topped up and made sure our plates were taken away. There was a singer in the bar area where we were seated which was a nice surprise. Another lunch with the girls. Tiffany, our waitress, was very attentive and helpful, as was our bartender, Dean. The food here is always good. An eclectic variety of fresh and local items make this menu always interesting! My friend tried the drunken clams and was very happy with the tasty broth (not sandy) and generous portion of tender clams. The porky pig was yummy, as was the chicken tenders , and the cuisine chicken. Never a let down here! Great banquet facilities also! This restaurant is part of Ocean County Vo-tech's culinary program and on weekdays class is in session in their kitchen. Weekends food is prepared by chefs, not students. Nice clean place with a good stable menu. Usually have daily lunch and dinner menus too. Good selection of craft beer, and a decent happy hour. I would not order the buffalo perogies again though - we did not like then at all. Had the crab cakes the other nite and they were delicious. The food is not amazing. The service is not amazing. Someone said the place is good. If it's good, only good, then why do all the reviews give it 5 stars? Would it be fair to rate this place the same as say a top rated restaurant in Philly? No. Starting to think 5 stars are given just to give the reviewer the perk of being called "elite". If that's the case, then most of the reviews are fake. The drunken clams were so salty and sandy they were inedible. The buffalo wings were dry with some blue cheese crumbles on top of them. I think they were cooked on the grill. A real buffalo wing is deep fried without breading and soaked in hot sauce. The cranberry meatballs were also dried out they too sat on the table. A burger was also so overdone the outside of it was black. The request was for medium. Service was incredibly slow. Got our check and went elsewhere for happy hour. The golf course was a good game but the bugs will tear you to pieces. read more

I can't give this any stars. I made a big mistake I didn't realize I would need a reservation for their pub. Hostess was a train wreck. First someone was checking for a seat for me. When she jumps in and takes a party of two adults and two very young children ahead of me and my husband. Whom had no reservation either. Young children don't belong in a pub on St Patrick's day. We try and try to like here but oh boy. Get rid of this no personality terribly dressed woman as your hostess that's why your dining room is empty! I hope they check Yelp. Will try one more time with reservations otherwise I'll let you know. The idea her is great. Culinary school students working here. Food was excellent. We sat in the pub area (menu is different from the restaurant) The Cape May Calamari was the best I've had. My husband and father had the scallop bisque. Both loved it. We all had burgers and one had ribs. Food was awesome. Porky Pig burger was great. Only note, fries are extra. They come with chips, but fries (which were good) are $2.50 extra. Was one of my favorite places untill about a week ago. Let me start by saying, the only good service, with the exception of 1 waitress,Nancy, was at the bar when Dean was working. Otherwise it was a crap shoot. A week ago we went there on a day when dean is usually there and he wasnt so i figured he must have taken the day off. So we sat at the bar and the bartender in his place walked passed us at least 4 times before even acknowledging us. We she finally did we placed our order, her usuall salmon and i had a burger. A few bites into my buger and a funny taste i realized it was bad to the piont i was so grossed out i sent it back and told them i didnt want anything else and to take it off my bill. The chef tryed to blame ot on the A1 sauce which i also put on my frys and it was fine. So at this point im already pissed off and just wanting to leave when i hear a customer ask where dean is at . The bartender says he is no longer there and coulndt give any details. Found out later he was let go. Huge mistake on managements part. He was the most professional employee they had and made sure to keep the regulars happy and coming back. Actually too professional for that place and should be working somewhere more upscale. Great Food - Bad Service! Walked in with my daughter for dinner. Waited about 5 minutes at the "wait to be seated" sign until the hostess arrived. The only words she uttered was "Two?", so I said yes and she walked away without uttering a word...so I wasn't sure if I should follow her or not...I followed behind a few steps, still not sure if I was supposed to be, she walked past a table and dropped 2 menus and kept going...so I assumed that was my table. I waited OVER 20 minutes until a waitress FINALLY came over and asked for our drink order, not wanting to wait for her to return we ordered dinner also. We waited about 25 minutes for our food and then never saw our server again until I asked for our check. The food was great...but I was made to feel like our presence was an inconvenience. I might go back but I will make sure I have a few hours to kill just in case. I love the concept of locally sourced food and the training program for the culinary students at OCC. Great concept...but someone needs to hold a class on hospitality and customer service because these people are RUDE! read more

I had dinner in the dining room at Cuisine on the Green last evening, Sept. 21, 2019. The food is always excellent but the service was terrible. Pam, our server complained about all her aches and pains as she made herself at home sitting in one of the chairs. She was huffing and puffing bringing out the tray for 3 dinners saying loudly that her back was hurting her alot. She dropped food on the floor and didn't bother to pick it up. We were the only one eating in the dining room around 530-7pm. so it's not like she was stressed. The bread dishes were greasy and I asked for clean ones. We had asked several times for bread, extra salad dressing and butter. Some of those items never arrived. My suggestion to the owner of this restaurant is to tell Pam that she needs to find a new job where she can be happy and provide good service. We really didn't want to hear about all her physical aches and pains. We came to have an enjoyable dinner. read more

This bar is really a great place to go, it's an upscale bar compared to others in Little Egg Harbor! They serve the higher end wines, their crab and artichoke dip and steak sandwich are delicious! Three seasons of the year they have an outside patio, it really is a great little oasis! I have not tried the restaurant, but the bar is nice! read more

If this were about 2 months ago, Id have rated it 5 stars. Life there just seemed to be much better when Dean was behind the bar. Service was better, vibe was better and for some reason the food was better. The specials menu has become boring and non-creative. Last time we were there a couple weeks ago the draft beer wasn't cold. They had the RuPaul show on all the tv's. This is a golf tavern. No golf. No sports. It's like they've lost their identity. Absolutely amazing! My family and I come here about two times a month and I have never had one bad thing. The crab cakes are so good it's hard for me to order anything else, I highly recommend this dish! Every Wednesday is burger night and they change weekly based on what the culinary students come up with. They have burgers such as the "Diner Burger" with scrambled egg, bacon and American cheese. No matter what, the burgers are always good. Although the service can sometimes be slow in the restaurant, all the servers are great. The main bartender is super friendly as well. read more

Really cool little bar! Nice view of the golf course, lots of parking. For a quiet place off the beaten path they had a really unique selection of seasonal (pumpkin!) beers right on tap. The lunch menu was generous and varied from burgers to seafood. The burgers coming out looked really well prepared. We had clams casino and blue claw crab dip both were delicious.
