Our family of 8 really wanted to like this. It's wasn't horrible but it wasn't 4.5 star great. Everyone was super nice. The restaurant is very clean. Great prices especially for drinks. Nice outdoor seating with river view. Would go back for drinks and atmosphere but not for dinner. There were a few items off the menu that we wanted. We were told at the time of ordering that they were not available. It would have been nice knowing that as they handed the menus to us. The special of the day was a hamburger? What kind of special is that? The food came out quickly and hot. It was just lacking flavor. The skirt steak was borderline dry, thankfully had the mushroom toppings. The potatoes were really good. The bartender was the most disrespectful person I have ever had to deal with. She yelled at the group of us for another patron talking when she started talking. She then proceeded to tell us that we could read the menu for drinks and we have eyes because she did not want to tell us what they had. I took the Blue Ridge train from Blue Ridge. Everyone else poured into places right by the train. This place is farther on the map they give you(#15). Was looking for a place to eat with a view and where they had table service. This place had it all and it did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious food, super friendly staff and owners. Our favorite place in the downtown area. We've been several times for cocktails and sat outside. The owners are nice people to chat with. not sure about the rest of the menu, but the pulled pork sandwich was not good. pork was more large chunk chopped than pulled and was fatty, bbq sauce very bland , fries and bread were nothing special, boring, overpriced. food was not hot. my first visit here and dissapointed in this sandwich. outdoor deck is awesome. three stars for good ambiance and ok service read more

My husband and I went here for the 4th of July weekend not once but twice in a row. We are visiting from Florida and were so delighted with such incredible food, drinks and ambience. The Sicilian Chef, wow. I have traveled all over the country including Italy and have never had Italian Sausage that is made and cooked like this. My husband had chicken Parmesan and we have been in Italian restaurants in New York and Chicago that couldn't even compare. Loved the orange creamsicle frozen drink. Went to lunch. Two people ordered a side salad. It only had spring lettuce and we were charged $5.00 each. No tomatoes, no cucumber nothing. Two of us ordered ice tea. Got one refill each. They charged us $6.00 each. They charged for refills. One person ordered the ravioli and it looked like it was cooked on the grill. They said the sauce was horrible. One person had lasagna and same complant about sauce. The waitress was good. She appeared to be the only one working the floor. I think the management is trying to hard to be something they are not. Should stick to bar food. Drink prices were good on alcohol. First thing you see when you walk in us the bar. Tables are to the right. Paper cups and paper plates.
