What a gem! A friendly unpretentious pub, but a place of contradictions. A simple Sunday roast was transformed into an elevated meal . herb filled pork roulade with crispy skin exterior, hassleback potato, grilled vegetables, and Yorkshire pudding. Forget dinner, rolls, I am a convert of Yorkshire pudding. The sauce was surprisingly bland and lacking umami. However, the dish was well seasoned so it was fine. I would gladly have this dish again.
Two levels. The bar area has a beautiful hand painted ceiling while the rest of the pub is pretty standard. Upstairs is better for sit down meals.
