I love the Village Grind, I try and always stop when I pass through Wrightwood. The service is always friendly and kind. Sometimes on quiet days in town there is a wait because the cashier is also responsible for preparing the food/drinks, but it's always reasonable. The prices are very fair, they do not hit you with the "mountain tax" at all. The drip coffee is tasty and the espresso is good as well! I haven't had the pastries yet but they look good, especially the donuts, and I'm excited to come back and taste them. Today I had the breakfast burrito, the cashier was very helpful and accommodating of some recent dietary restrictions I have developed, and she made me a great burrito! I swapped out the bacon for avocado (not normal for me, but like I said, dietary restrictions) and it was just as good as with bacon! My burrito has avocado, eggs, hash browns and tomatoes, and it was exactly what I needed. Good to note that the only bread option is sourdough, however, it is very tasty homemade and fresh sourdough, which is quite the treat. Unfortunately, not for me today, but I have enjoyed it in the past. I usually get to go and drive up the hill to picnic with a view, but I'm looking forward to eating in one day. That atmosphere is very cozy and calm, both the inside and the patio are nice. Speaking of atmosphere, I was happy to see many pride and pro LGBTQ flags in the restaurant, helping foster a welcoming environment for all. TLDR - 1. Good food , good coffee , very fair prices. This place has a super cute mountainy look to it and an expansive outdoor patio with nice views of the surrounding mountains. Location is a 5/5. Pricing is high for what you get here. Service is average. I came in the fall and wish they had a seasonal fall menu of drinks but didn't see anything. Overall an ok place to grab a coffee but not my top choice in town for price and seasonal menu offerings. read more

The service was friendly and the deck has a nice view of downtown, but that's about all of the positives. The cortado I ordered was middle-of-the-road (rating--3) and more like a latte and the semi-stale chocolate chunk cookie (1) tasted like it came from a bad grocery store bakery. The inside (1) was dingy, cluttered and smelled bad and parts looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Looks like owner/management is absentee or just doesn't care. My advice is grab-and-go some coffee if you really need a cup or sit on the deck if it's nice. read more

Cute little spot in the mountains! We stopped by for a quick breakfast after camping nearby, and it was a pleasant surprise. The sandwich was surprisingly tasty, fresh and flavorful. Food is pretty good but they never answer their phones. I tried numerous times to call to place a pickup order but they won't answer their phones. I had to go and stand in line to place the order. Because of this decided not to get anything if I didn't want to wait in line for a simple order. Also they often can't handle making a simple egg bagel sandwich and tell customers they can only do the "lighter" menu. They should train their staff better instead of turning away business or hire more help. read more

When you come to a small mountain town you can imerse yourself in the lifestyle if you choose so. We tried this local wine cellar to experience what the town could offer and truly enjoyed it. Greg here gave us a spectacular wine tasting experience and the whole way through we felt as if we were family. At the end we couldn't help but to purchase some of his awesome recommendations and we left feeling content with our wine adventure. The next morning we came back to enjoy a custom made spritzer by Greg and again were left with a great experience. This is a place We usually stop in coming from a ride in on Ach highway. It's a mandatory stop. A quick relax and unwind with beer and sometimes finger foods. However this special occasion they were serving ribs. Ribs, potatoe salad, corn, and Texas toast all for 15 bucks. How can you go wrong? Not to mention it was pretty darn good. They also have a pretty great selection of wine and beer. I always just stick to the lager. If you're in wrightwood, you need to check this place out and give it some business. The lavender latte with soy milk is pure amazement. I inquired if the lavender was vegan and found out the lavender here is literally boiled lavender and sugar water. It sounds quite whimsical if you ask me. They also have wine tasting but I have not tried that. The food looked interesting but no vegan options as far as I could tell. The employees and owner are so welcoming! I've had multiple drinks there and they were the absolute best! They have an outdoor seating area and indoor. They also have a restroom as well. You can feel the breeze and see the huge trees while sipping on your coffee. The environment is beautiful and breathtaking. 100% recommend read more
