    Beautiful night

Whether you're new to wine or a seasoned enthusiast, Thief & Barrel is an incredible place to visit. The selection is thoughtfully curated, and the atmosphere is both welcoming and refined. The owner, Dimaggio, truly elevates the experience. His knowledge and passion for wine come through in every conversation, and he takes the time to educate and guide you through different selections. Hearing his journey from local colleges to Europe adds a personal touch that makes the experience even more memorable. This spot has an amazing vibe and is a true local gem. If you have friends or family visiting from out of town, this is definitely a place to bring them you'll impress them every time.

Such a wonderful gem in Lancaster. My friends and I met up for a girls trip and just fell in love with Thief & Barrel. The staff were wonderful, engaging and showed they genuinely cared we were having a great time. Prices are amazing. They have from bubbles to reds! Co owner and wine creator was there personally ensuring our needs were met along with two amazing women staff. Whether it's after work or a birthday def stop in!

We have been members here for a few years now. DiMaggio is the Sommelier and Barbara is the 'front of the house' - doing wine tastings as well as pouring all their amazing wines. Between wine tasting , classes, and just an overall amazing great atmosphere you will not be disappointed! Highly recommend!!

Barb & Di, LOVE THEM! The owners are the star of the show here, it's clear you become apart of their family once you take a sip. Barb did an amazing job keeping us engaged, informed & tipsy lol Di's attention to detail, talent & artistry will keep us coming back! The house's "port" is a crowd pleaser. The mango wine is a must have at my house. I am truly honored to support this small business. Don't forget to ask about their monthly events & rewards program!

The company - 100 The games - 100 The Wine... 10000000!!!!!! Highly highly highly recommend this business. I had no clue this place was out here a little treasure with our own little Av. The owners are absolutely the sweetest and most kind people you will meet. They not only took care of our wine tasting but went over in detail how each was made and by how. They catered to each persons taste preferences which at a wine tasting I've never had that service before. It's usually a selected scale and no changes. I literally had magic happen in front of me. I got to taste some amazing wines from red, whites and non grape. Truly a hole in the wall beautiful gem of a place. Whether you're in need of a paint and sip night karaoke, girls night, or just need a place for a meeting this place does it all. They also offer charcuterie boards with fresh daily ingredients. So make sure to call ahead or go early so you get yours. Thanks for hosting us. We had a blast.

Some Daily Red and a charcuterie board.

The space for parties is large and has a stage. We could decorate as we wanted and also bring in our own food. We had our guests grab drinks at the bar area in the front and that worked out fine. They have many options besides wine and everyone was having fun tasting. If you need to have an event in the AV, this is the place to go. Service was so friendly and helpful. There is ample parking. A real winner. Even if you don't have an event to plan, just stop in here for a drink or two. It's an absolute find!

We're part of their wine club, and it's definitely worth it. Every quarter, they host a pickup party with food and a fun, social atmosphere. It's always something we look forward to. As members, we also get complimentary tastings, which include a flight of four wines, and it's a great way to try something new each time we visit. They host events regularly, and their comedy nights at the end of the month are one of our favorites. It's the perfect date night close to home, easy to get to after work, and always a great time. The ambiance is lively and welcoming, and they often have music playing, which adds to the whole experience. If you get there early for events, there's usually food trucks, pizza, tacos, and more. It makes the whole night even better. We've even run into friends at a few events, which makes it feel like a real community spot. It's always fun to catch up and enjoy the evening together. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed!

The food was good and they had a really big selection of wine. Unfortunately our first few picks for bottles were already sold out but the server I think his name was Dylan was very accommodating. It's basically a wine gastropub with New American Cuisine that has worldwide influences. Inside is pleasantly furnished with plenty of wine bottles on multi level display shelves to set a wine lounge atmosphere. I sat at the bar for informal noshing. I'm a sucker for "Buffalo" burgers which are actually Bison. The Tombstone sliders are meaty, moist, lean with gooey, melted, apple wood smoked cheddar cheese, soft, caramelized, sweet onion, slice of roasted tomato & Dijon mustard Aïoli (ah ee oh lee). Arrugula leaves mentioned in the menu was missing in action. Very tasty and 2 for $15 in our inflationary times of 2025. Got a glass of house red wine that went well with the Bison sliders. Couldn't eat more than that since I ate the humongous Jackfruit Burrito at Modern Tearoom earlier for late lunch. The Complexity menu has a fairly tight menu featuring typical New American hits: Charcuterie, Fromagerie, 10 apps, 12 mains, 10 sides for the mains. Bar seating afforded me a pleasant conversation with an older gentleman who was into formula one racing cars. Staff service is competent, friendly enough & functional, not particularly punctuated by small town charm. 4- stars
