Beautiful night

Whether you're new to wine or a seasoned enthusiast, Thief & Barrel is an incredible place to visit. The selection is thoughtfully curated, and the atmosphere is both welcoming and refined. The owner, Dimaggio, truly elevates the experience. His knowledge and passion for wine come through in every conversation, and he takes the time to educate and guide you through different selections. Hearing his journey from local colleges to Europe adds a personal touch that makes the experience even more memorable. This spot has an amazing vibe and is a true local gem. If you have friends or family visiting from out of town, this is definitely a place to bring them you'll impress them every time.

Such a wonderful gem in Lancaster. My friends and I met up for a girls trip and just fell in love with Thief & Barrel. The staff were wonderful, engaging and showed they genuinely cared we were having a great time. Prices are amazing. They have from bubbles to reds! Co owner and wine creator was there personally ensuring our needs were met along with two amazing women staff. Whether it's after work or a birthday def stop in!

We have been members here for a few years now. DiMaggio is the Sommelier and Barbara is the 'front of the house' - doing wine tastings as well as pouring all their amazing wines. Between wine tasting , classes, and just an overall amazing great atmosphere you will not be disappointed! Highly recommend!!

Barb & Di, LOVE THEM! The owners are the star of the show here, it's clear you become apart of their family once you take a sip. Barb did an amazing job keeping us engaged, informed & tipsy lol Di's attention to detail, talent & artistry will keep us coming back! The house's "port" is a crowd pleaser. The mango wine is a must have at my house. I am truly honored to support this small business. Don't forget to ask about their monthly events & rewards program!

When I said I needed a bottle to go, DiMaggio made sure it was chilled and had me on my way , all with a smile.

It's basically a wine gastropub with New American Cuisine that has worldwide influences. Inside is pleasantly furnished with plenty of wine bottles on multi level display shelves to set a wine lounge atmosphere. I sat at the bar for informal noshing. I'm a sucker for "Buffalo" burgers which are actually Bison. The Tombstone sliders are meaty, moist, lean with gooey, melted, apple wood smoked cheddar cheese, soft, caramelized, sweet onion, slice of roasted tomato & Dijon mustard Aïoli (ah ee oh lee). Arrugula leaves mentioned in the menu was missing in action. Very tasty and 2 for $15 in our inflationary times of 2025. Got a glass of house red wine that went well with the Bison sliders. Couldn't eat more than that since I ate the humongous Jackfruit Burrito at Modern Tearoom earlier for late lunch. The Complexity menu has a fairly tight menu featuring typical New American hits: Charcuterie, Fromagerie, 10 apps, 12 mains, 10 sides for the mains. Bar seating afforded me a pleasant conversation with an older gentleman who was into formula one racing cars. Staff service is competent, friendly enough & functional, not particularly punctuated by small town charm. 4- stars

Interesting place and I will be back for dinner.
