It seems if your a lady who lunches, a yummy or not so yummy mummy or a SUG (smug unemployed guy) theres plenty of places to while the hours away with a cup of joe, especially in Terenure.
While not as rough around the edges as Café conco, or flashy as brambles the village bistro is nice spot all the same.
The place is small and narrow but not uncomfortably so. The do usual café kinda stuff, sambos, pannani's (what did we eat before they were around) very nice coffee, lovely deserts as much as the omnipresent full Irish breakfast for about €9 with a veggie option too.
I was pretty impressed with the friendly staff, especially after she gave me a free scone, it was tiny but nice all the same. The only bad thing about the Village Bistro is it's only open until 5. Ideal of lunch and breakfast. read more
