my relations go to this cafe every sunday for their social outing, recently they have been asked not to bring one of their frriends who has parkinsons and therefore creates some noise when he hands shake while she eats. they asked if they might sit out side at least and therefor not disturb the other costomers and were told no, they could not bring her back she was not welcome. to deny a disabled person is i think illegal for a start, but even if its not it is really unkind. the lady has lived there all her life and been a frequent costomer of theirs, for a half an hour of some cutlery making noise they should have the good manners to be tolerant. especially since when i have been there the extreme noise of their cleaning and banging the coffee thing on the sid eof the machine is viscious noise that all the costomers have had to put up with. i have heard many complaints about the people being unhelpful, having to always explain the kind of tea or coffee they would like every week {my aunt likes a latte without the fluffy milk..not sure if thats a flat white..to her it would be a cafe au lait but the names have changed}.teh quiches are dry and any food i have had there was mediocre..... but since it is their local they go back every week. untill now. my only experience here apart from with my relations was buying a cake where the lady was very stone faced and unhelpful. it was however a very nice birthdya cake. it is so aweful to think that when we get old and we cannot control our cutlery we will be shunted out of society by people who are uncapable of tolerance. what is worse is that instead of saying it to the persons face they said it to the lady who takes care of her. they had not even the courage to speak to the lady herself, who although she shakes is still able to understand. and were she her stronger younger self she would certainly have put them in their place. really disgraceful. read more
