I love this place. The employees here are always super friendly and helpful. They keep addresses in their computer for me that I ship to frequently, they just look me up by phone #. The post office can't top that. Convenience. Regarding all UPS stores.....I once showed up with an antique grandfather clock I inherited from my Dad in Florida to ship to California. They boxed it, and it arrived in great shape. How easy is that. I love not having to box my stuff, fill out forms and stand in line. This store has notary that I've used before. I'll echo what the last reviewer said -- pleasant, helpful, and efficient. I had a complicated shipping issue and the guy behind the counter took care of my problem so effortlessly...all the while giving advice, accepting drop-offs, etc. to other customers. I was in and out within 10 minutes. Could not ask for better service. read more

I'm not sure if this place changed owners, but their business practices have gotten shady lately. Where before I could come in, drop off packages for shipping, be in and out relatively quickly. Now, this store and staff have taken the GameStop approach of upselling useless upgrades to your shipping experience. The staff, both male and female clerk, now make it sound mandatory to buy one of their $6-9 40lb rated boxes to even ship anything with UPS. The kicker being that under the previous ownership I used these same office depot shipping boxes without being upsold or forced to buy this UPS Store's approved boxes just to ship an item. There are other shipping stores in my neighborhood, I'll go there now instead and avoid this rip off place. read more

Was in the store to return a large and unwieldy box, but found the barcode reader did not pick up the code on my print out. It was too blurry, said the young clerk. I gave him my phone to read the code from an e-mail, which worked, but that wasn't good enough for their drivers, he said. Fair enough. I just didn't want to go back with the big box, agreed to pay the $2 for another print out, but then decided I didn't want to leave my credentials on their desktop. I asked the more senior clerk to try her reader in case it was more sensitive. Sure enough, hers worked and I was on my way. Junior clerk was exceedingly unhelpful, and I'm quite reluctant to go back there for future service. It leaves one depressed that customer service is apparently something of the past. read more

Terrible! Extremely UNRELIABLE!! Dropped my package off on the Dec 21st and my item sat there for 5 days until they process it to ship. I should have use USPS instead. Will never drop my package here again. read more

Needed to mail a letter overnight and the UPS store was close. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and polite and was able to take care of me immediately. The reason for two stars? I was charged $34.60 for an overnight UPS letter. I thought this was pretty high, so I went on line to check the price on the UPS site. Their price? $25.75! A $9.00 service charge on a $25.00 shipment! When I called to voice my dissatisfaction, the manager said there was nothing they could do, that the price was entered by corporate. Again, great folks there, but be prepared to be gouged. read more

I had to have something noterized a few weeks ago that day. I called the UPS store and the man on the phone was cheerful and had great information for me. I was able to get my paperwork noterized as soon as I went in (on a weekend) and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. Anytime I can give them business from now on I will. read more

UPS Rocks! It took about five minutes to send a package at 4 p.m. by ground shipping. My package was delivered (300 miles) by noon the next day! For 50% more $$, I sent a similar size package from the post office, with a 7 day delivery ESTIMATE. The package was tracked leaving the building, and hasn't been seen or heard from since (8 days ago). I was told the post office is too busy to scan each package during the holiday season. Now the tracking web site is "having technical difficulties". Have no idea where my package is, but I won't make the mistake of using the post office again. read more

I've used this store for years, and have never had a problem. But it takes only one goof when it comes to handling people's mail. 18 December I mailed a letter, asking for USPS Priority with delivery confirmation. I've done this same package for 5 years. The clerk--who was clearly new--didn't understand the difference from UPS and USPS, Priority from Express, or signature from delivery confirmation. She had to be walked through every step, but used the wrong envelop, wrong service, put the label in the wrong place, and the package was never received. I'm not sure why her supervisor didn't take over instead of helping another customer. I was charged $50+ for something that should have $6.65+$4.20 for the confirmation. It was my fault for paying the fee, their fault for not knowing what they were doing, and someone's fault for the package being lost. read more

I frequent the UPS store on Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa..love that place! Use them all the time ever since they opened up. Friendly, courteous and so very helpful. Today, I needed a document notarized and was greeted by the rudest associate. at the Windsor UPS on Brooks. Barking out orders...meet me at the middle counter. I shared my drivers license and noticed the name she wrote down in the book looked like a mistake - she barked back, it doesn't matter. I put my thumb down on the black ink type disc and my thumb was on it's side. I attempted to correct it and she barked back again, it doesn't matter! When I lifted my thumb up, expecting a tissue, she said, it's water soluble, you just rub your fingers together and it will rub off. Nope!! So I took out my hand sanitizer to do the trick. The language on page two that my attorney drew up must of be outdated, so instead of explaining that to me, she just crossed it out with a big X. I asked why and she showed me a new "certificate notary form". Thank you very much - BTW - wearing slippers to work, I am not a huge fan. I'd avoid that place if at all possible unless you don't mind being treated like crap! read more

If I could rate it a zero, I would. Was told by john that my package would arrive at its destination the next day, but if didn't. Tried to check tracking but UPS website told me that the number didn't exist. Called the following day and John told me that UPS had not been picking up and although they said they would on Monday, he doubted it. I asked him why he took my $ then and told me it would arrive in one day. He said he would try to find my package and call me back. I happened: to be driving by several hours later so I stopped in. He admitted that he didn't look for the package because he had too many to look thru. And told me " not to shoot the messenger" he would go look dor it. After a minute or 2 he came back out and asked me "do you really need it there tomorrow or are you just pissed?" That is seriously something you ask your customer?! I told him I was upset that he had not told me the truth when I came in the 1st time. I told him that I could have taken the package to the post office or Fed Ex if he had told the truth, and it was about him not UPS failing to pick up. He then went in the back and I could hear him throwing around packages until he came out with mine and struggled to return my $. Horrible business dealings. I will be using another package service from now on even though this one is much more convenient. Talk disrespectfully to your customers and lie, then word will get around.
