However- have no fear you people that anticipate a business will be open by 9- a time that most poor souls are at work, getting to work, or already slaving away by this time. Because! Pak Mail is open. Now they aren't the cheapest in town... but customer service is their game. If you kindly ask for the most expedient and cost effective method- they will tell you. They will also pack it for you, label it for you, etc. I've been in here a few times, not always best deal, but effective. Additionally they are a package return for Amazon! Bonus!!! AND they are seconds away from the post office that only opens at 9:30 am.

We initially tried to find a "less-than-full-load" moving company provider that could add our items to a load. No luck. We then checked with a package shipper. They advised us that they couldn't handle the items, but suggested we contact Craters & Freighters. We found that Craters & Freighters had offices in many locations throughout the USA. We contacted the Detroit location and spoke with Sandy. She was very helpful and professional in working with us to arrange the shipment. (We found that the rate was reasonable and comparable to the rates if we had found an acceptable "less-than-full-load" moving company.) When the shipment arrived, we were blown away by the quality of the packing. The shipment was contained in 3 large crates. The furniture was very carefully packed/padded to prevent damage. Once we unpacked the items, we found to our great satisfaction that they had made the long trip without incurring any damage. The end-point shipper contracted by Craters & Freighters - Detroit was XPO https://www.xpo.com/. We were also very pleased with the quality of their delivery service. Dave, the driver for XPO commented to us that in his experience, Craters & Freighters provided exceptional service - noting that many of the art dealers in town frequently used them for packing and shipping artwork to and from their galleries. Two weeks ago I received an email from USPS Informed Delivery showing me that a document from the…read moreSocial Security Administration was due to arrive. When a week passed with no sign of that important piece of mail, I spoke to the Postmaster at the Hazel Park Post Office who said she agreed with me that this was a "VERY important issue." I also left a note for the carrier on the mail box array in my apartment building to pay attention because an important document addressed to me was misdelivered! Two days later, when the SS Admin mail had still not arrived, I spoke to the Hazel Park Postmaster again. This time, she was much less concerned. She told me to click the "did not receive" box in the Informed Delivery notification and follow the instructions. I did that. I also went to the USPS website and filled out a form there, as well. In addition, I phoned the SS Admin and explained that they needed to send another copy of the document they had sent earlier because the PO had misdelivered the first one. To date, I have still not received this important notification (or a copy thereof) from the Social Security Administration which should've arrived 19 days ago because the Hazel Park Post Office is run by an INCOMPETENT POSTMASTER who either can't, or won't, do her job! I'm old enough to remember when misdelivered mail was a rarity. Now misdelivery is commonplace! Today, I will see if I can phone the US Postmaster. If not, I will write a letter to him. I wonder if THAT will be delivered!
