Great value for shipping and reliability with packages. Today they didn't open at 8. But 8:05 with employee on the phone and no apology.

Every time I have come to this location, it's as if the owner/manager and the young boys who work there have their own thing going on. It's not a customer service oriented place. They act as if they are doing you a big favor being there. And they charge for every little thing. I have had accounts ups stores and the other ones I have been to act interested to help you. The last time I walked in is the last time I will ever go to this UPS location. I walked in and there were several people working and the man at the counter had several packages he was sealing up in plastic bags. He was doing this and made eye contact with me and continued to slowly seal these packages. I walked toward the counter and he looked annoyed as if I was truly being pushy. I stood there, watching him slowly seal these packages as he looked at me a few times. I was the only customer in the store so he was obviously not stressed about his workload. When he finally decided to ask me what I was there for, he acted as if I had been rude to interrupt him. This is not an isolated incident. On top of those kinds of experiences, they charge you for tape! And if you forget to print out your return label, they charge you $3 for the privilege of emailing them so they can print it out. (And then charge you for the tape they use to tape it to your box.) I just went to the UPS store on Sheridan and what a difference. Night and day. They don't charge for tape, and they don't charge if you have to email them the return label. And they're pleasant! That location, and the people who work there, are 100% worth the extra time it takes to get there. Don't go to the Harvard location unless you like indifference and paying for something that should be an everyday expense for the business and not overcharge their customers for tape and email. I had an item to return from the gap, and was told to take it back unwrapped to the UPS Store. I stood in line forever (10 people) The line moved slowly. I finally got to the counter and was charged a dollar for tape to ship the item back to gap! A small amount, but it's the principle! And they were rude about it! read more

I have personally witnessed this store's manager berate and scream at customers on at least three occasions while waiting in line. Each time, the customers clearly took the high road and had to be calmer and more collected than the manager. On the most recent instance, it was so bad that his employees were visibly uncomfortable witnessing the scene--doing their best to be professional in an impossible scenario. The customer service has become so ugly and stressful at this location (3701 S Harvard Ave) that I now drive *much* further across town to other UPS locations if I ever need service. Looking at the many public complaints about the hostile environment here, I cannot believe the owner hasn't been formally reprimanded or removed by UPS. Seriously, if you can, avoid this location. I had pleasant experiences for a short time, but I now cannot support a location that treats its patrons this way. read more

10 minutes late opening. I asked to use their tape dispenser so that I could apply 12 inches of tape to 2 packages. I was told that I could not use their tape. They finally reneged and said they would tape it for me. The owner of this store is rude, condescending and surly . Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. UPS needs to close this store or find a manager that understands the concept of customer service!! I will make the long drive to the UPS hub and never use this store again. read more

We've had a mailbox at this location for 15 years. Management is courteous, efficient, friendly and professional. We ship and receive packages from this location many times a week. We have never had a problem. Ever. The employees are equally efficient, friendly and professional. One day, a pair of prescription sunglasses fell out of the car while we were carrying packages in and out. Didn't notice until we got home. We called the store, and an employee scoured the parking lot, found the glasses, and kept them until we picked them up! read more

To be charged to tape a PREPAID return label on a package is wrong. I subsequently went to the UPS stmore on Utica where they happily accepted my UPS package and gave me a receip as is standard practice. Avoid this place. read more

I went in to get my absentee ballot envelope notarized and Brant tried to tell me he could only notarize it if it was sealed. I read the instructions to him and had to explain to him that he was certifying that I am me not that there is a ballot in the envelope. He then told me that "the election board had come by there personally and told him he could only notarize envelopes that were sealed". I went home and called the election board and they told me that was not true and that he made that up for some reason and to file a complaint on him. You are only getting the election envelope notarized to prove who you are it doesn't have to have the ballot in it not does it have to be sealed. When I called to complain I found out that Brandt is the owner and manager. He is not very bright and is (in my opinion) extremely dishonest and apparently likes to try to interfere with the voting process and keep people from voting. Avoid him and his store! read more

The only thing this store has going for it is location. The owner is unprofessional and a jerk. His name is Brent Hopkins. He was rude and tried to shift the blame on me when they could not find my package. He needs to be reported. He's awful and I will avoid this store at all costs. read more

I was told that they wouldn't accept anymore packages for me after I tried to give them a heads up of a larger delivery. I tried to have a conversation about it but kept saying things that personally offended the owner, like, 'isn't it your job to accept the packages?' And 'I mean this is UPS, right? Isn't that what I pay for?' I genuinely tried to ease the situation with apologies for offending the owner, but he was already dead set. Now I have to quickly adapt and fix a currently-in-shipping logistics nightmare because I accidentally offended the owner when asking about an upcoming shipment. Also, the mail notifications never worked, and the address is so weird, it doesn't work in a lot of address forms. Regretfully, I'd avoid. I thought I was having a conversation and trying to solve a simple problem but the owner was taking it personally and had already made up their mind about the situation. Now I have to find a completely different set up since this owner owns both locations around me. read more

This is the best UPS store. The staff go above and beyond to help you get what you need. They are fast, knowledgeable and efficient. I never go to the post office anymore. They can store the addresses of the people you regularly send packages to, so I can literally give them my phone number and a name in my account and pay. Easy access, and so friendly. read more

My vendor told me he couldn't use the post office to ship my purchase and said I had to create a UPS label ONLINE so he could send me my stuff. Since that was the only way to get my order delivered I went and made a label. Their system asks for the dimensions and weight of the package. How would I know?? I guessed 1.3 lbs and 10" x 10" x 8" in size. I was charged over $20 to ship a box from Colorado Springs CO to Stilwell OK. I got the package and it is 6.5" x 6.5"x 6" and weighs about 4 ounces. I was ripped off and nobody cares. I will NEVER give UPS another dime. Always use the Postal Service and if your seller tells you they can't, cancel the purchase! UPS doesn't care about their customers and is happy to keep money that they did not earn! UPS sucks big time. read more

These guys are excellent at what they do. I rarely do anything other than prepaid shipping, so when I sold a bunch of SCUBA gear on EBAY, they were there to help me save tons of money and get things ready. The younger man, with a redish-blonde beard was so friendly and helpful, I'd let him handle my package any time. I also realized they will notarize documents for you, so much cheaper than my bank does and hassle free! read more

My client took a package to this store to be sent USPS. The package was paid for and given a tracking number, but was never received by the post office. When I called to inquire about it, Brent, the very unprofessional owner, told me that he was "sure" that it had been delivered, and since there was no insurance there was nothing he could do about it (insurance would not cover a package that was never scanned into the system, he should have known that). After debating this point with him for a bit, he then accused both my client and me of trying to scam him (the last defense of a guilty party). Not only unprofessional, but packages aren't safe at this location. Hopefully there is another option nearby where you can get better and more reliable service. read more

Anytime I have been in this store,they have been very helpful. Today the clerk recommended that I reduce the height of my package by 2" in order to save $20.00 on shipping. Yes he charged me $2.00 to cut down and retake the box, but it was well worth it. I paid $22.00 total instead of the $45.00 it would have cost if he hadn't advised. Great experience. read more

One of the better UPS stores I've dealt with in the region, no particular experiences I can point to that strike me as very helpful but none that offended me either. Very good service and a helpful and informative staff that ranks up with some of the best UPS stores I've dealt with across the South eastern portion or the US. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at any UPS store in the U.S. I asked for a piece of tape and was told that would be $1 so I went home and taped up my package and brought a roll of tape to leave for the next customer..paying it forward I told them.... they rudely say that they will throw it away when I leave! It's a $1 no matter if it's there or not. I am a loyal UPS girl, but the two rude associates that were working today have changed my mind.
