I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever witnessed at the UPS Store on Outlet Drive Silver Spring Md. A young customer, maybe 16 years old, was trying to ship a package. Instead of helping him, the employee Om repeatedly pressured him to buy insurance. The kid said no several times, yet Om kept pushing. Then Amixa, who I later learned is the manager, joined in and also tried to pressure him. At that point, I stepped in and told them to stop badgering him. Their response was unbelievable. Om told me to "mind my business," and the manager actually told me to "shut up" loudly, in front of a store full of customers. Instead of deescalating or helping the long line of people waiting, they continued arguing, insulting me, and eventually told me I was "not welcome" in the store. All because I spoke up for a minor who was being pressured into a purchase he clearly didn't want. This is completely unacceptable behavior from any employee, let alone a manager. Pressuring a child, insulting customers, and escalating a situation they created is not how a business should operate. I hope UPS corporate takes this seriously, because this location clearly has a major professionalism problem. read more

This location is in my local neighborhood and by far my favorite one. The staff are great. They are always willing and eager to assist with any needs, always have a smile on their face and ready to assist without hesitation. I would give them a 10/10 if I could! read more

This UPS store is amazing with personal service, and they go above and beyond expectations. I brought in a huge, complicated delivery that even included small furniture to be carefully packaged and processed while I was rushing to the airport. Ayush and team jumped on it immediately, made me quickly feel comfortable with their handling of multiple fragile personal items, and handled it perfectly. Everything later arrived in perfect condition, and I'm incredibly grateful for their professionalism and kindness too. I had a large Christmas box containing various gifts I was mailing to a girlfriend in Germany. The post office had already flatly refused to send the box because I had included several bags of candy and I was told by the guy at the post office that I could not send candy to Europe. So I went to the UPS store hoping to send it via UPS. That ended up being cost prohibitive, and I thought I was going to have to take it all out and repack the present. However, the very kind, very helpful husband and wife team at the Briggs Cheney Plaza UPS store spent an hour and a half wading through the customs form matching up the already wrapped presents in the box to the ridiculous categories USPS now requires be 'declared'. They told me the box would be opened by Customs in Germany, and it was, but it made to my friend intact and on a timely basis. In the end it came down to the post office guy did not want to the take the time to do what the UPS store did for me and I'm very appreciative of their efforts on my behalf! Thanks, you guys! This UPS location in Outlet dr, Silver spring, MD has the worst customer service ever. They are very rude with the customers and the line takes forever to move. Some employess were just standing around and didn't want to help the customers. Everytime I go to this location there is always different employees working there. Lately, I have been seeing a lot of Indian employees working there. Mainly this review is regarding the 2 men in the late 60S that were Indian or Punjabi. They were not polite at all. So I asked for the manager and one of the older Indian guy said that he was the manager. Then, I asked for his name, but he refused to provide his name in a very aggressive and threatening manner. He knew that him and his friend was in the wrong and didn't want to provide a name. I mentioned to him about writing a review based on customer service, he got even more aggressive. These people need better training on how to treat a customer and how to be polite. It looks like the company would hire anyone nowadays. This has been the worst experience. Please avoid this store by anymeans, unless you want the worst customer service. Such rude disrespectful Indian people. read more

Limited hours due to COVID. Only four customers inside the store at a time (social distancing)! A few days ago I stopped by to return an Amazon purchase. I printed the return label and brought the item back. They scanned the label and that was it. In and out! Super convenient! read more

I received fast, courteous, and friendly service here when I dropped off a prepaid package. The clerk was efficient, professional, and offered a drop-off receipt. I was in and out in just a few minutes. The interior is small but clean and well maintained, with plenty of boxes, packaging supplies, and even greeting cards. This store has one of the rudest personnel. I went to return a package from amazon and the Indian lady at the front desk said I had the wrong barcode so she looked inside the box and saw the return slip and ripped it in my face saying it was the wrong thing and threw it in the trash. It was so uncalled for and not necessary. Never again going back to that place. read more

I've been coming to this UPS store for many years, used to live behind the shopping center and every time I come in here it's new people and it's always a ridiculous line no matter what time I come in here. This is ridiculous and I know the owner and he hasn't been here and over a few years and it's just always ridiculous. This is such a great location, Adela and D'Angelo were super helpful in getting me set up with a mailbox. They efficiently answered all questions that I had in regards to getting set up and were overall very kind and helpful. I witnessed them provide exceptional customer service to an older gentleman needing assistance in making an Amazon return. I went here for a notarizing and found out they do shredding as well. My experience was flawless. But that's what I always seem to experience with the UPS store. I like the one closer to my house near DTSS but parking is more of an issue there. I tried to go to Fed Ex the same evening but they closed at 6 and had a line. I don't like FedEx though because everything is itemized on their card, and the people that work there are uniformly less helpful. I like what another reviewer said about the UPS Store closer to me, when he goes there, the person just knows what to do and does it. And that has been my experience at every UPS Store that I've been to (McLean, downtown Silver Spring, and now Briggs Chaney). read more

I called ahead to verify that a notary would be there all day as I know some places only have one at certain hours. Not sure if this particular store has a notary at all times or only certain times. Best people ever!! This is by far the best staff around. Always efficient and friendly!! and for lady who came in and left because she was in line & she felt someone butt in line... We are account holders -- so they get our mail and boxes for us, we pay each month for this; to have someone sign for our packages, etc. So I apologize for your wait. Yes sometimes there is a line since they are in a strip shopping center but they do tasks quickly so it moves quickly. He has gone over pick up times with me over and over to ensure that I never miss one.( Pick up times are crucial too my business ).
