This location seems to open later than most in the area and they open 7 days a week! 6. And last but not least!!! The very very best part about this UPS!! They LOVE my puppy Baci! I was in the University needed to return an Amazon purchase. Went into the UPS store. Item was in the original box had the QR code return code. Box needed one strip of tape to seal the small box. The employee said it would be $1 for her to put a piece of tape. I understand UPS stores are independent but don't they make enough money for handling parcels. Do they really need to nickel and dime consumers? No other UPS store has asked for $1 for tape. I will not patron this store again. read more

Great service especially to rent a PO box. Easy access and great folks behind the counter and fast at taking Amazon returns. Love all the unprepared cheapos complaining about needing to pay for tape. "How dare you charge me money for something that cost you money and I needed because I was unprepared!" I bet they'd rather you seal up your package at home than hold up the line in store. read more

This UPS Store has good service but the lines can stack up here and parking is nerve-wracking in this tiny lot with VERY narrow parking spaces. People don't look when they're speeding through this parking lot so you have to be really careful not to get hit. And turning into this parking lot is a game of chicken in and of itself! People on 25th do not leave space in front of the entrance/exit to this strip mall extension of University Village. They could really benefit from putting big traffic signs in the street to alert drivers not to block the driveways! read more

Legit the rudest customer service I have ever had. UPS failed to actually deliver my package, I filed a claim, blah blah and finally they said it would be sent to the UPS store. Took me awhile to figure out WHAT store since their site said it was delivered to 'residential'. I finally tracked it down and this guy Danai or something close to that told me it would be $5 for each day it was there. I tried to tell him that I hadn't asked to have it delivered there and he just kept cutting me off, then saying again snd again, "look lady, it's a franchise." I get that he just works there and that may be a rule but the attitude was totally unnecessary. Also an amazing scan to have a driver not deliver it and then charge me because of the failure to deliver. UPS is a mess--or at least this franchise is. read more

The UPS Store at the U-Village location has been a great resource. I have gone several times and they have been able to help me with little or no charge. Even when it was busy, they were patient and ACTUALLY LISTENED to your questions and gave a real SOLUTION. For instance, I didn't know if I could use an old amazon bubble mailer to ship something new and they let me know I could. They have answered any little questions I have that helps me know my package will be delivered on-time for my eBay sales so I don't have to worry about my package being returned for some stupid little mistake. I'm sure I sound like an advertisement but to sum it up, they are reliable, friendly, and a great team. They deserve better ratings! read more

I called in advance the same day I planned to go in, to ask if they provided notary services and the woman who answered said the notary is on staff M-F 8-4 except from 12-1pm for lunch. I asked if I needed to make an appointment and she said "No, it's walk-in and no appointment needed." I left work early to purposely arrive a little after 1pm and upon entering there were three workers just standing around the registers. I asked for the notary and they said "uhhh he went to lunch." For a good 5 minutes or so the three of the employees spoke like high teenagers about why he took his lunch late and how he probably won't be back until closer to 2pm. Then, one proceeded to ask if he could actually take his lunch as well because it was so slow. Nobody seemed to notice I was even there anymore and I was left to wait for the notary to return from lunch. This place is a joke. read more

Kayla at the U Village UPS store was incredibly rude, sarcastic and condescending. I tried to work with her to confirm a shipment I sent from that location that was not tracking accurately on the UPS site. This would be a standard customer interaction anywhere else in explaining a procedural question. Her inability to respond without talking down to me was disappointing to say the least. I hope that she will find something more suitable to her demeanor and that doesn't involve customer service of any kind. Meanwhile, I will redirect my business to another location and/or company. It's a shame, I have done business there for over 15 years and the employees historically were fabulous. What happened to that place? read more

I went to this store last week trying to just get a small framed picture wrapped or to buy a box . I was told $37 just to wrap my small picture ! Went to fed ex around the corner and they sold me a $9 box that fit it perfectly . They even helped make sure it was the tight size ! I won't go to UPS on 25th again ! read more

Noticed that the average rating for this store is pretty low and wanted to give my two cents. I've been coming here for years, a couple times a year, to ship stuff I sell on eBay. Never had an issue, and they're open late which is nice. It does seem pretty expensive though, but I don't mind since the buyer pays shipping on eBay sales. Sometimes it does take a while if there's a line but not as bad as when I use usps. Typically i come in close to their closing time and it's not busy; I give them my carefully-packaged box, they enter the address and ship it. Not too complicated. Last time I was in, I chatted with the guys while I was prepping my packages and they both seemed nice. So, if you box and label your packages beforehand, and dont get off work until after dinner and need to ship something, this place is perfectly fine. read more

The employee was pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately she was bound by the store owners policy. I rerouted an envelope because my office was closed. I didn't pick it up right away and found out the owner chooses to charge $5 per day to hold the letter. Good thing I didn't wait a week to pick it up. In my opinion that is crazy, charging to hold a letter at a UPS store. I mean, heck they got their money when the sender paid to ship it. I asked who the owner was. I was told he only goes by Jimmy. He doesn't allow a last name to be given. Wow, UPS Jimmy extorts money from customers by holding their packages ransom unless they come up with the dough. I'm not sure if this is more closely resembles a tow lot, or Jimmy's own little Italy. Anyway, happy holidays Jimmy, I'm sure it will be profitable for you. By the way, just down the street, FEDEX Kinkos does not charge, to have a package redirected there, they ship, and provide boxes at a much much less charge. They are also super friendly and helpful. My two stars was earned by the poor employee who had to enforce Jimmy's will. Jimmy doesn't deserve stars. No stars for you Jimmy. read more

I had never come here before today. Usually I've just gone to the FedEx place a couple blocks down on 45th. But I had two pre-paid packages to return, and they happened to be UPS slips, so I dropped in. Turns out they want $1 per package just to TAPE them. $1 FOR ONE STRIP OF TAPE!! At the FedEx down the street, they just have tape out for anyone to use. They don't care how many packages you're shipping: You're shipping with FedEx, so it's a win/win. We have used this UPS store for many many years and never had complaints. Until now that is. Recently we shipped many boxes to another state. Very expensive, but it seemed worth it. There was a problem with one box. Well, stuff happens, so we went back to the UPS store to resolve the problem. This is where the real problems began. The young clerk was rude, told us it was our fault, maintained an extremely arrogant tone, took a "the customer is always wrong" position. He kept saying, "no, you are wrong." When we asked to speak with his manager he insisted he didn't have one. When we asked to speak with the owner he said he was the owner. Really? This clerk was evasive, unhelpful, extremely rude, and didn't care at all about the situation. We called UPS headquarters, and the nice person on the phone resolved the problem immediately. The lady told me that they are not ups so they can't help me with my package sent threw ups. But ups is on their sign and on their shirts. They take your money for ups and after that you are sol. Also if you have a problem the cust service people are very sort and won't listen to you before giving you a 1-800# (and the wrong one I might add.) I virtually never give a bad review unless i think that the service is sooooo bad that they will cause a lot of damage. I ordered a textbook and it was shipped via UPS. UPS was unable to deliver to a university PO Box, and was unable to deliver to University Street address, so as a last resort I had it shipped to the nearest UPS store. All this was very inconvenient, but when I went to pick the book up, the UPS store charged me a five dollar "convenience" fee! My review is mainly critical of the Private Mailbox "PMB" Service offered at this location, and also the owner's unwillingness to work with customers. The other services here have seemed good and office staff have always been polite and helpful, so no problems there. I signed up and paid in full for a mailbox to use for business purposes in the fall of 2019. In the first month I received mail without an issue. Then, important documents never showed up. I spent hours on the phone with my bank and other agencies, who I thought had made a mistake with the address. I checked in with UPS at the store twice, and everything in the computer was correct. Finally, various banks and companies contacted me directly asking where to route all of the returned mail since "all of it was stamped with addressee moved and left no forwarding address". (!) I provided UPS with a scanned image of the returned mail, and while they apologized and explained that there was a back-office error, the owner was unwilling to consider partially refunding or extending my service to account for the 3-4 months that the PMB was mis-directing my business mail. After communicating with them for 4 weeks via email and in person with no response, I am now leaving this review. Businesses should be aware that the owner is not responsive - if something goes wrong with your PMB at the U. Village store, it's all on you. The other services might be fine, but this is one area I would expect a UPS store to really get right. read more

Meets my needs - has consistent hours (& long hours and open 7days/wk) unlike my previous experience at another location and the staff here are usually very friendly and quick. Sufficient parking although could be really crowded at times - but it's U-Village, expected. I use them mainly for receiving packages - cos some doucebags have stolen off of my porch before - they notify you by email when you get packages and even just regular old mail and there aren't any extra fees if you can't pick up your packages right away. read more

Great place to rent a box for receiving packages, and you can almost always find a parking space in their little lot connected to 25th Ave NE. As with other pack-n-ship places, not the cheapest way to send a package, but they are helpful, have all the right packing materials, and take the prepaid UPS packages as well (USPS, too, I think). They're open until 8PM on weekdays, and during the day on Sat and Sun, which is often more convenient for me. read more

Parking is free BUT not always easy (avoid Saturdays) but this is a great, convenient place to return internet items and the staff is always efficient if not ebullient. read more

I've shipping through UPS many, many times through their store at University Village, and I've always had a pleasant, business-like experience. I like the people working there, and I think they do a good job. Sure it costs a little more than USPS but there's reasons to use UPS sometimes and USPS sometimes. I package everything I ship myself, so I don't know about any 'fees' they have, but if you're sensitive to service fees, know before you go. I give them the highest rating because that's my experience with them. read more

A truly infuriating experience. DO NOT USE THIS UPS STORE. My husband and I mailed both of our passports to Washington DC to get travel visas to go to Vietnam. UPS lost our passports and our newly issued visas. While it was UPS and not this UPS Store that specifically lost our documents, the owner of this UPS Store was surly, unhelpful and rude when we opened our investigation in an attempt to recover our lost passports. When I asked him if we should keep our receipts for the ~$1000 in expenses that we would incur in replacing my US passport, my husband's Canadian passport, and our travel visas, he said that UPS is not responsible for paying to replace the documents that THEY LOST. His attitude was "UPS lost your passports and visas? Tough sh*t. Not our problem. You get to pay the ~$1000 to replace them." After getting upset with him over the phone about this ridiculous policy, he said that he would update me daily on the investigation. I never heard from him again. The owner of this UPS Store is a class A a*shole. I am currently working with a customer service rep at UPS to follow up on the investigation and hopefully get reimbursed for the costs we are incurring to replace our passports and visas in a very short period of time (before our upcoming travel date). Moving forward, we will be using FedEx Office (just down the road). read more

I have never written one of these online reviews, but I had such a frustrating experience at the U Village UPS store that I feel compelled to share. A couple weeks ago I took in 2 boxes of dishes to get a quote on what it would cost to ship. I was selling them on ebay and needed a quote to add to the bid amount. I was quoted that it would be about $80 (total) and in fact was quoted for shipping to Alaska since that would probably be the most expensive. (at that point I didn't know where the ebay bidder would be from.) I sold the dishes, took them in to get them shipped and was informed they were now going to be about $200--a little less if I did the packing. I was told that I was misquoted. I ended up leaving the dishes there so I could purchase the shipping materials somewhere cheaper. I bought shipping materials, including two bigger boxes (all were much cheaper at UHaul) and repacked everything there in the store. When I ran out of bubble wrap I asked if they had some and was pointed to the very overpriced package on the wall. I asked if he'd be willing to give me some considering the circumstances and the misquote and he said "I am not going to give you bubble wrap" in a very unfriendly manner. Without a word, I took all my stuff, my repacked boxes and took them to Office Depot half block north. I was buying more bubble wrap there (again much less expensive) and was telling them about my lousy experience at the UPS U village store. The clerk then informed that they do UPS shipping at Office Depot. Lasasha at the U Village Office Depot customer service counter was great. She offered me packing tape, gave me a discount on a bag of shipping peanuts and was just great to work with. And guess what? The total shipping amount was $88 and that included the two bigger boxes, insurance, the peanuts and much, much better customer service. I will do all my shipping there. The UPS U village store lost my business and pissed me off enough to write this review. I guess they haven't learned yet that lousy customer service is spread around a lot more than great customer service. read more

I've been in here twice to return packages to Amazon. Both times (I think the same worker helped me but can't remember) I left feeling dumb because the worker was mumbling and I couldn't hear what they were saying. MIND YOU I am a young adult with pretty good hearing. I kept thinking he was asking if I had a receipt but instead he was asking if I needed one from HIM. As someone who doesn't really know how all that works I got a response that seemed annoyed and rude after when he finally could tell I didn't know what he meant BECAUSE HE WAS MUMBLING. I'm amazed to see ANY bad reviews for this location. I wonder whether some shenanigans from competing mail facilities are involved; I've been using this UPS facility for over a decade and the worst things to happen EVER have been times when the university traffic (student mail at holidays etc) made for long lines. But I always considered the long lines to be worth it-- precisely because, for over a decade, the employees have been so personable, so intelligent, so kind (within institutional limits-- these people are after all hired under a big corporate franchise just like Fed Ex people-- but it's a good sign how long their employees stay at this location-- and how articulate and able they are). The string of one-star reviews just doesn't seem plausible to me-- caveat emptor. read more
