I went in today to mail several holiday packages, and was in and out very quickly. Their computer saves all the addresses where you mail packages, so everyone's info was in the computer from last year, making it a very streamlined and quick process. They also offer packing services, which is super convenient. Everyone who works at this location is friendly and welcoming. It's much less stressful than standing in line at the Post Office.

I brought in 8 packages--6 were already labeled and only needed to be scanned, and 2 needed labels printed. The employee/owner was on a personal phone call the entire time, didn't greet me when I walked in, and was trying to work with one hand while staying on the phone. What bothered me most was watching her scan my packages and then throw them onto the floor. USPS handling guidance specifically states that packages should not be thrown or otherwise mistreated. Regardless of what is inside, customers should be able to trust that their packages will be handled with reasonable care after dropping them off. As the owner, I would expect a higher level of professionalism and much better care when handling customers' packages. I had planned on using this location regularly, but after seeing how my packages were handled, I don't feel comfortable bringing them here again.

They blamed South African customs for broken and missing merchandise, but UPS should be responsible for a) making sure the weight of the parcels is the same after customs opens it (many items were missing), b) properly resealing and securing the parcels after customs opens them for inspection. As a result of UPS poor stewardship, the parcels arrived to their destination (a charity) with missing and broken items and broken shipping bins. I need to add here that PostNet did not pack the items. I did. Catherine at PostNet took up the banner of my complaints about UPS and ran with it, filing claims, offering to send UPS customer service her in-store videos of my shipment, writing mails to the UPS teams, in short, she went over and above to help me. It's been 3 mos. now of arguing with Catherine on my side and finally I got a check for the damaged and missing items, which I will donate to the charity. But if you want to ship something, and want to know you'll have an advocate should anything go wrong, ship with Catherine at this PostNet for sure!!!
