I stopped by UPS to drop off an Amazon return because the item I received was damaged, scuffed, and stained. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm used to receiving a QR code from Amazon to show the counter staff when dropping off a return. However, when I arrived and searched the app for it, I realized my return required a pre-printed label.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This was on me for not noticing sooner, but tell me why it costs $4 and some change just to print a single b/w sheet of paper at UPS. I paid since I was on my way to dinner and didn't want to lug around a clunky box, but this is ridiculous considering it costs a fraction of the price for self-serve printing services at competitors like FedEx. I paid hundred of dollars for a mailbox here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It took 3 attempts for them to correct my email in their system.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because the email was incorrect, I wasn't notified that packages had arrived - they just sat in the back for several months until the employee who finally corrected my email thought to check. I'd just paid for another 6 months for the box when I discovered the packages (and that my box had been incorrectly blocked off yet again), and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the manager did not respond to repeated requests for a refund or acknowledge my request for mail forwarding when I moved my mailbox elsewhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will never set foot in this store again for any reason - all told I spent several hundred dollars for some of the worst service I've had from any business. read more

Never open on time. Today I pulled up about ten minutes before the posted opening time. There were about six people in line already so I decided to sit in my car with my dog till the They opened. This store is a scam be careful- I sent an important package that was never picked up , and when I came back to the store to check on it they said "assume it was stolen from the store before a driver picked it up" as apparently theft is common here. I needed to print a piece of paper off, and tape it to my box of returning glasses. It cost $3.95... what? To print off a piece of paper? That just rubs me the wrong way. That should cost less than $1. Then she printed off the whole page and then folded it over and taped it... why not cut it? Now it's this chunky piece of paper. On top of all this, I went to her, she was unhelpful and said send it thru USPS, which I needed to, but without explaining why. All prior experiences have been positive and professional. Today was no exception. There was one customer prior to me and he was in the middle of having something notarized, also. I have been going to this UPS store for years now. They have always gotten my packages to their destination in a timely manner (even last minute around Christmas time) and have packaged multiple items for me personally, as well. I've never had a lost or late package. They are courteous, yet straight forward about pricing. They're often busy, but that should speak to how loyal their customer base is. When I've gone to ship things from USPS in an attempt to save money, the customer service has been subpar in comparison, the wait times longer, and the prices are only slightly more affordable if not the same price. I like having the peace of mind that my packages will get where they need to go in one piece. They're also great for Amazon returns without packaging as well! read more

I can't say the same for another UPS store that I went to two days ago with the same return. They didn't know how to handle my situation. I come to this UPS all the time to drop off Amazon returns, but I recently shipped my first package here. I had to mail my marriage license to city hall before leaving on my honeymoon. They charged me nearly $20 to send a document envelope a few miles to SF City Hall. It felt ridiculously expensive, but I was in a rush with few other options. A few days later, I got a cryptic email from UPS saying there had been a delay with my package, but I was unable to find out much more information about what happened. The online portal said it was being held at an undisclosed UPS location because there was an unknown delivery error. So I had to call the store *while I was on my honeymoon in Europe* to try to figure out what happened. Except the number for this store goes to the generic UPS phone number - apparently this location doesn't have a phone number you can reach them at, so you have to go through the main UPS system. The rep I talked to said the package was lost, then said I needed to go to a different UPS location in person to retrieve my package. I told her I couldn't do that because I'd be traveling for the next few weeks. Then I got a text from UPS telling me different information about what was happening with my package. I kept checking the UPS portal but couldn't get more information. A few days later, I got an email that my package was being returned to sender, which was frustrating, but at least I'd be able to get my marriage license back and submit it in person when I got home. Well, the package was not returned to me... it was delivered to a front desk somewhere and signed for by someone named Patel. But I can't find out where it was delivered. I hope my marriage license was delivered to City Hall, but I can't find out from UPS if it was or not. Am I legally married? I have no way of knowing until City Hall responds to my marriage certificate request because UPS so impressively messed up the delivery of this very important package. read more

I rarely write any reviews but, God, I had to write one for this UPS store. WTH is wrong with this place? Every time I do an Amazon return, I ask them to give me a receipt to have proof that I dropped off the package, and it's like pulling teeth. The guy (and it's one particular guy there as far as I can tell) just argues and argues how I don't need a receipt. Today, I just refused to leave until he gave me one. What the hell is the big deal? why is it so hard to just print a receipt and give it to me? I looked at other reviews after writing this. I'm clearly not alone. I have been going to this location only because it's halfway to get to my son. To just drop off an Amazon return only. With how it was shipped to me. Amazon return states I don't need to put item in another box and can just drop off. Girl behind the counter at this place says I can't return the item in the box because the provider won't pick it up as is even though the item was shipped to me in the same box. I handed in a package with a pre-printed UPS label and asked for a receipt. The person behind the counter told me that the tracking number is the same I had on the pre-printed label, so I can use it to track the package. I explained patiently that I am not asking for a tracking number -- I am asking for proof that I have handed my package to him. He said they do not issue receipts ... This is really bad -- handing in your package to this UPS Store without any proof that you handed it in requires a lot of trust in them. read more

Got there at 8:30am and waited until 8:45am and it still was not open. Myself and many other customers ended up leaving. This isn't the first time this location has disappointed. The first time they refused to print a receipt for my Amazon returns. I will NEVER go back to this location. I hate this location! Today's bad experience broke the camel's back and i had to write a review because i cant be the only one who's experienced this employee's behavior. Since today's experience prompted me to write this review, but let's back track a few experiences w/ this same employee.. i didnt have the strength to ask his name. He wears glasses and sort of heavy set, and he's the ONLY one there w/ a bad attitude. i will write about today's experience last...but do u ever see the UPS commercial where EVERYONE is happy and the employees go out of their way to help u? well, this one definitely does NOT and i have experience that he provides the bare minimum. 1. There was one event several years ago where i had to send a something out of the country. I brought in my item and the label and item was packaged ready to go. Then said man in question said, unfortunately u need to print out the other form (i forgot the name of the form) and u need to put it on the outside along w/ the label. went home, printed out the form i thought i needed. filled it out, brought it back w/ the original label and package. he then said that is not the correct form. i said that it was the only other form available. he said im sorry that isnt the correct form and it will be sent back. went home, looked online again. printed anything i could n went back to the store. the man again said it was not the right form. i was about to leave. THEN, Lawrence (a differnent employee. Lawrence always says hi and greets u like he's happy to be there. always pleasant) comes up to me and says here, i know you've been coming back and forth and i think this is the form you need. I graciously took the form, thanked him like 10x. i really appreciated the help. it was my 1st time having to do this. if Lawrence was nice enough to go that extra mile, which he didnt have to, but he did! THAT is what the commerical was talking about. employees who love their job and helps the customer. NOT the guy w/ the glasses. 2. beginning/mid pandemic i had some returns for amazon that i boxed up myself and had some returns that said no box necessary. with things getting lost in the mail or having problems getting delivered i always ask for a receipt. this "proves" that i placed it in their hands and therefore proves i didnt 'drop the ball'... then said rude employee says we dont give out receipts anymore. OK FOR THIS i could understand. w/ the pandemic just happening etc i understand less paper handling w/ customers understandable. so i left the store hoping i wouldnt have any problems. 3. fast forward a few months and ive had other returns for amazon and it said NO BOX required. then brought item in and same rude employee said i cant take it back unless it has a box. im like but amazon said i dont need a box. he said im sorry i need a box or i cant take it. i leave the store, go home and then try to find a box. bring box and item back to store and he finally takes it and refuses to give me another receipt. 4. Fast forward to this past week...i had another return w/ no box, a female employee (nice young lady w/ pony tail) said oh we need a box. so i went home to get a box. brought it all back to the store and she scanned the item and gave me a receipt. 5. fast forward to this past week... i had 2 returns, no box needed. 2 separate scan codes. Lawrence helped me, scanned both items, both scan bar codes and gave me a receipt. poof. no drama. done. i said have a good day and i left. TODAY'S EXPERINCE: Same RUDE employee scanned my 2 items, 2 bar codes and i asked for a receipt. he we dont give receipts anymore. i said i just returned a bunch of stuff this past week and i got a receipt both times. he said AS of this monday we no longer give receipts. im like you've said this before at different times and it's always, "we no longer give receipts" but everyone gives receipts. I said you are the only one i have problems with. then i said, do u know that UPS commerical where everyone's happy and the employees go out of their way to help customers??? YOU are the ONLY one here who never goes out of ur way to help anyone. then he said, u know the commercial about amazon, says u need to box and label your items for returns. i was like OMG u did not just tell me to box shit up (especially when some amazon returns say we dont need a box) i used to always box items until amazon said we dont have to and if i didnt have a box. then i said everyone here is nice and goes out of their way and YOUR JUST ALWAYS CRANKY! NEVER FAILS...he's the crankiest employee there.. then proceeds to tell me if i dont like it, i can always pick another store. Bad customer service. I used to envelops which was like $5 in total, and discovered that I left my wallet home. It was the end of the day, so they insisted to leave my package there, and come back the day after to pick them up without giving any paper proof. They have my account, mailing address and everything and can't even give me a paper proof. read more

Very very slow service. They need to: 1) allow appointments for Notary service otherwise the glacial pace of service could have you waiting a half hour 2) add a 2nd notary 3) train the non-notary staff to prepare and assist with notary service to expedite things (otherwise there are 3 staffers sitting at doing nothing while the notary has a line out the door) 4) limit the time they spend with one notary customer to 15 minutes while they allow next customer to get service 5) work faster! Dropped an Amazon return, no tracking updated for 7 days. Called, the worker is so rude and told me Amazon return will ship in a BIG box and wont have any record in first 10-14 days. So.... this happened today and I still can't believe it. I went into the store and the sad little man (who owns the store btw) behind the counter was making a big fuss about helping me with my Amazon return (ie he didn't want to) I was fumbling to find my bar code and because I wasn't fast enough he started yelling at me to get out of his store. He then SLAPPED me across the face and threw my package (which had a glass lamp shade in it) across the room. And then when the police came he LIED and said he didn't slap me. I don't know whether to laugh at how ridiculous you must be to have that little emotional self control that you can't handle the day to day customer service situations that comes with running a small business or feel sad for all the people that he emotionally and physically abuses on a day to day basis. The only thing I know is that this is not the kind of business I want in my neighborhood. This man is violent and dangerous. And, judging from a LOT of these customer reviews, I don't think I'm alone here. read more

I have gone to this UPS store for 12 years and suggest you avoid it if possible. The owners often open late with no apology. They also try to charge you for boxes for no good reason. And they try to charge you $10-15 for the box plus more for packaging it. They also charges us $10 a day to "store" a package! It is also a narrow store so with social distancing or is very hard to get in and out. Overall I can't recommend it. read more
