I took several boxes of materials to this store to send to an industry conference in MN. When I arrived at the conference, the materials were not there. We discovered that the boxes had been sent to some mystery company in CA, who rejected the shipment. The boxes were then returned to this store. I sat at a conference in an empty booth for 3 days without any of my company's materials. After multiple requests, this store still refuses to refund my original shipping costs. Not a trustworthy operation. Buyer beware. read more

On June 20th I arrived to the UPS store at The Landing in Renton WA around 6pm to use the self-service Amazon return kiosk. There was an employee overseeing everything I was doing and that was the store clerk Aldwin Torres. I processed a total of 6 packages but one of the items wouldn't fit in the slot so I gave it to him at the front counter. Interestingly I noticed just before I scanned the last item the receipt printer cut off so that I wasn't able to print a receipt. I left just before the store closed at 6:30pm. Later that evening around 10:30 pm lasting until about 11:15 pm I started to receive autogenerated emails from Amazon letting me know that (the items were likely being scanned by the night shift at UPS) and the emails were being sent to me to confirm receipt. I received a total of 5 receipts but I noticed 1 item did not get scanned. It was the highest dollar amount item out of all 6 packages, an Air Purifier worth about $90. This was the same item that wouldn't fit into the slot and that I handed directly to Aldwin. This morning I called the store to let them know that I never got the email receipt for the air purifier and asked them to search for it. I spoke to someone named Asher Loctor and he said they couldn't find it. He also said when he starts his shift in the morning his colleagues, who are supposed to show up at 10 am sometimes don't show up until 12 pm so most mornings he has to handle everything by himself. I have an open refund case with Amazon and they have given the store 2 weeks, starting from today, to find the package and return it. Aldwin Torres: If you can find the package and send it back to Amazon I will ammend this review. Otherwise it will remain here to advise the general public to take careful precautions when leaving packages under your care. Aldwin has given me the name and phone number of the store manager Raj Sohal 425-390-4102 in case anyone else needs his number. I would not trust this store for Amazon returns. read more

I normally wouldnt review a shipping place, but Yelp noticed I recently visited this UPS shipping store and I saw the low reviews and figured I might as well. I needed to drop off 2 packages that already had prepaid labels to them and noticed this store as I was leaving the Landing. I parked right out front, and waited in a small line and noticed how kind and helpful the young man at the front was. He worked really fast to accommodate those in line, and when it was my turn, he kindly let me know that if I am there to just drop off packages, I am welcome to place them on the counter and not wait in line next time. The store was really neat and tidy, and again, the customer service from what I saw and experienced was very pleasant. Will definitely swing by this location for all of my shipping needs, and even potentially to get a PO box as thats something they offer and I recently recognized I likely need to procure. read more

I went into this UPS store 2 days ago, to return 2 packages to Amazon. I had the QR code on my phone, and showed one of the QR codes to this young, male employee and he tells me that is illegal and refused to take my packages. He did not explain why he wouldn't take it, when I asked, and explained to him that I have never had a problem at any other UPS store. He just put his hands over his ears and shook his head no. This employee has given me problems in the past. He is a detriment to your business as he is not only offensive but turning business away. I will never return to this UPS store. They wanted to charge me $150 to mail a package to Hawaii in two days. If I wanted it there in a week, $75. The Post Office is much cheaper, and faster. $17 for $500 insurance and it got there in 2 days. I asked why so expensive; they told me it's because it has to go on an airplane. That's ridiculous! I've worked with freight shipping before, and my tiny little box is too small for a pallet. read more

I am expecting a package at this location (which is now lost or stolen at this point). I arrived yesterday to figure out the situation and the staff were extremely rude. Terrible attitude and completely brushed me off to get to the next customer. They gave me false information about my package arriving and I just called them this morning to sort it out and before I could even be clear about what I was calling about, the guy on the phone was very rude, and kept interrupting me about how they couldn't do anything about it and told me to call customer service. I understand there is only so much a store can do but the consistent attitude and unwelcoming behavior is a huge turnoff and I won't be giving them my business ever again. Normally I don't expect to receive excellent service at a place like a post office or UPS Store, but I do want to get in and out as quick as possible. This didn't happen during my trip to the UPS Store. I went to the UPS Store to get a paper card laminated. Something that I thought would be quick and easy to have done at this store. Unfortunately I got stuck there for 20 minutes when my card got stuck in their lamination machine. I was worried my card was going to get damaged or destroyed. The employee finally got it out of the machine but the lamination had bubbles and rough edges. A simple task turned into a big ordeal and the finished product was not what I was hoping for. read more

Clean and brightly lit. If you need shipping supplies they got plenty here. (Duh) Part of the Landing. So super handy to go shopping for a gift then send it! What stood out most to me was the service. It was quick, efficient, and no up-selling to try and make an extra $ for more expensive shipping, unneeded insurance, etc. The clerk even told me about a closer UPS store to my actual address so "I wouldn't have to go out of my way to ship a package." And lets talk about price. It is the X-mas season, and I need to send packages. A 6lb package that would be delivered in 2 days cost the same amount as a 2lb package with an expected 7 day delivery from the postal service. I know where to go to send things these days. read more

UPS is good for one thing only, handling mail and shipping. Now that UPS has franchise stores they will want to reconsider the training offered to the owners and the standards they want them to keep. This location has one individual, Tom who understands customer service. The majority of the other staff does not. The low rating is due to multiple printing issues. Since we have a mailbox at this location my business decided to also use them for some modest print jobs that we do fairly frequently. Our higher quality printing is sent elsewhere but the mistake we made was thinking this location could handle basic quality items correctly the first time consistently. One job was messed up because the person didn't understand page orientation. Another job was messed up because the toner ran out mid job and they printed over 3/4 of the order with a burnt out toner cartridge. This changed the color of our print out to the point it was unusable. They did correct these issues at no cost to us, but that wasn't the last issue. The issue that finally made us decide to go elsewhere for printing was when they didn't print both of the projects submitted at the same time or give us the right quantity, instead they printed only one. The owner of the store tried to get us to pay for the reprint which was their fault. He also argued with my husband about getting the job wrong, as a solution my husband offered to login to their print site to show the project submission. The owner declined. I generally like UPS, and have used them often in the past for shipping and have had no issues with those services. I however think they need to implement better training for anything involving printing because it's blatant that they don't know what to do. We were able to get reprints for free, but you shouldn't have to send back every job wasting everyones time and money. For that reason we will no longer use them for that service. read more

This is the worst UPS store I have ever been to. They wanted to charge me for a free UPS Priority box, up-sell me on their "cheaper boxes" and charge to print a pre-paid UPS label. They have no supplies out for a customers use such as tape, shipping label sleeves, UPS boxes or envelopes, etc. They also ask for proof of your shipping label to even answer your questions. They attendants are rude and more concerned about chitchatting with each other than helping customers. I will never go here again and direct others to use a different location. This was in very bad experience. I walked in the store, 10 o'clock Monday morning I was the only one in there. I had to wait 10 minutes because the person who works there was doing something, I'm not sure what but it didn't involve serving customers. Then I realized they didn't really know how to work a fax machine, he kept telling me I had the wrong number. Then he told me I had to call the company to get the right fax number, but he did want to charge me$2.50 for the first page and a dollar page after that even though it didn't work. I left in disgust, then walked to the Staples nearby they were able to send a 10-page fax with no problem. It cost about $1 a page. Not to mention parking is non-existent and there's no loading zone. Aside from having to deal with an unengaged employee on one occasion, my experience at this UPS location has been very, very positive. I've never been overcharged, never had a package returned, never had an employee complain about my puppy escorting me, never received anything but courteous and expedient service, and never had trouble finding what I need there. As an example, I mailed something today. Without any difficulty, I found the package I wanted, and within moments I was helped by a UPS staff member. When I later realized that I had incorrectly transcribed the destination address, I called the store and they quickly fixed it for me. Superb service. read more

I've used several UPS stores in the past. This was the worse. I wish I could post a -1 star.The person who took my order could barley speak English. Was not helpful or friendly. When the order was received, the box was nearly flattened. Thank goodness I had taken insurance out. The items in the box were irreplaceable, but they want receipt for replacements. After sending 3 letters to corporate, I finally got a check to repair some of the items. read more

The store itself is great! The location and lack of parking when you have big boxes to drop off? SUCKS. There is no loading or unloading zone. I've shipped from here several times. I've been very happy with the promptness and the courtesy that's at this location. UPS is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They didn't leave a note, the say they sent a postcard (which I never received and don't believe they sent one). They "tried" to deliver my package 5 days before the estimated date, so two days after the estimated date, when I called to see where it was, they told me I had to contact the shipper and have it reshipped. The whole thing was their mistake and there is NOTHING they can do? They also gave me the run around and made me call four different numbers and everyone had different stories for me. I will never use UPS again. USPS and FedEx are at my building everyday and are both 100 times more reliable and friendly than UPS. So livid with them right now. I had to get an important sample to our manufacturer in China yesterday and got stuck in traffic trying to make the 5:30pm last UPS pickup. I raced into the store 8 minutes late, and the Indian gentleman and his wife could not have been nicer. They said the UPS driver was running slightly late, so they quickly helped me get the customs form done, and asked the driver to wait while we finished up the labeling. I am just thrilled that they were able to make this happen, as a delay of a day or so would have cost us a huge amount of manufacturing time. Great people, great service Sometimes it's the little things....you know, people are friendly, maybe they joke or they are just nice and it's sad that too often people are just non-pulsed about our business. Fast forward to the UPS Store at the Landing in Renton. Every time I've gone in it has been a pleasant experience. Today I dropped off a prepaid package that I SWEAR said UPS on it. There was a person in front of me and I was in a hurry. The person asked the woman if she needed a receipt. She said yes. I said, I have a prepaid and don't need a receipt. He gestured for me to give him the package. Imagine my surprise when he pointed out I had just given him a package for USPS. DARN...really?? I would have sworn it was UPS. At any rate, the gentleman behind the counter said, "No worries. I'll give it to the mailman tomorrow." How nice was that???!!!!! As usual, it is the attitude of the manager that creates a friendly staff with attention to customer service that makes a huge difference. Good job UPS store at the Landing! read more

I'd leave a "zero" star if that were available. I tried to mail my passport renewal in to the Federal Passport Center in Philly for Expedited Processing. One of the workers here questioned the words "PP Expedited Processing" written on the address. I explained, and he said it would cost about $17.90 est. for normal mail, and $40 for 3-5 day expedited (signed) delivery. When I explained that it was a PO Box address, that no one would sign he got confused. As I was getting ready to leave and asked Tom if he knew what I meant, he said I was being rude and charged at me. As he pushed me, he said I was not wanted in the store. I took his photo on my phone. And told him I'd report this to UPS. Then he tried to steal my phone, stating I wasn't an authorized UPS photo taker. Yet there are security cameras in their store. I called Renton Police who responded and provided me an incident number. Tom was so upset that I called Police he notified me of a trespass. Really who would ever go back to a establishment that assaults, tries to steal cell phones / and pushes customers? This place is lucky to have even a 2 star rating... read more

Not even close, they told me it was policy to add an extra inch to every measurement. But the guy was adding an extra inch and then rounding up.
