Don't go to this store. If you ship a higher valued item, they charge you over TRIPLE the declared value rate that you would get charged if you just printed off your own label. I found out yesterday that all UPS stores are franchises and totally unconnected to UPS. I would never, ever use one again. While in Kauai two weeks ago, I bought a good quality ukulele ($hundreds) and sent it to a relative in the Midwest. It was missing for nearly 3 weeks (finally found yesterday). Still not delivered and opened, so don't know yet in what condition : ( UPS blamed the UPS Store (in Kauai); the store blamed UPS. The long and short, you have even less protection than sending directly with UPS or even the POST office for heaven's sake, because they both can blame the other. This is backed up by legal disclaimers in back-of-the-form fine print. I used this store once and they were WAY unfriendly, but I find that's true of other UPS Stores. $2.50 to print a label? I was returning a defective toner cartridge back to Amazon. Without a printer I thought the UPS Store would gladly print it for me. Whenever I need to print a label at a FEDEX, they gladly do it for me without hesitation, which is very useful when you are traveling and shipping things back without access to a printer. One more reason to never use UPS, lack of customer service. From what I can see, other people feel the same way. It's not like this location is called John Doe's Ship Express where you don't expect good customer service but this is a USP Store branded and with the name should come a certain level of expected customer service. Without strict regulations of your owner/operators I can see why your quality of service has taken a dive. It's too bad no one pays attention to YELP reviews that aren't restaurants. read more

Avoid this store. Shopped a package to NY that was damaged. Ups returned it I repaired it and billed UPS $300 for the repair returned the item to the UPS store. So far so good. I anticipated they would ship it back and pay me $300. Imagine my surprise when I get a check for $236. Called UPS, they were sympathetic, agreed with me I should have been paid the full amount of the invoice I submitted and like many others found out the UPS stores are not part of UPS. How stupid could I be thinking the UPS Store was part of UPS. I called the UPS store and Peggy told me there were extra charges because she used a different shaped box and packed it as ultra fragile. Does that mean you didn't pack it properly the first time? Let me recap I ship it and pay you, your break it, I fix it, you reship it and charge me an extra $66. I'm looking for another store to ship my packages. Here is their explanation: (in fairness I did insure it for more but was not informed there would be a charge). Good Morning Roger; The claim was submitted for: Artwork repair $300.00 Packaging $ 30.06 Shipping $ 92.05 Total $422.11 Insurance paid $404.11 The difference was $18.00 for the insurance on the initial shipment which is not reimbursed by the insurance company. I agree with all the other bad reviews. I have been wanting to give this place a review for a while because of the poor service given to me by the manager lady. I've been in there twice with amazon returns and the first time she tried to charge me for tape for the label. The second time I didn't have the label printed and she wanted to charge me 4 dollars to print it out. Both times she was also rude. Isn't this a UPS store? Why is she making it so difficult for customers to use UPS? I now drive to Tatum and Shea and go to the location there. It has 1000 times better customer service. I'm having a package mailed to me via UPS. While other locations and competitors would allow me to have the item held at a store for pickup, this store said they will charge me $7-$10 if the package is held at their location. Recommend shopping elsewhere where they don't charge excess for no reason. read more

Have lived in this area for years. Have come to the store several times and each time it is really bad customer service. As a small business, I try to support, but after continuing to experience the rudeness I just can't come here anymore. Second, it is always slow even if I'm the only one here. To top it off, I had an appointment yet Peggy took others who came in after me to pay bills without even asking if I minded, really!? Today I came in for a fingerprints renew and was a few minutes early. Peggy was doing menial tasks behind the counter and stated "we will start that in 10 minutes" with no explanation and with out even looking at me. It's a shame and as just about every post here is regarding a bad experience, follow the advice of others and find another shop. The only gem here is worthless. read more

A zero star would be perfect. I have tried to give this store multiple tries and every time is as disappointing as the previous. One gal in particular is exceptionally unhelpful. When one customer had asked if he could email and print a document to which the employee stumbled with her responses before saying "we don't have Wi-Fi so you can't do that". Considering Wi-Fi has nothing to do with emailing from the customers phone to a store computer, it just seemed as though employees were not prepared to give accurate or adequate responses as to why they do not provide this service. Another customer came in without packaging for an Amazon return, which is a fairly frequent and common practice. As she was returning a curtain rod of some sort, the employees seemed quite puzzled as to how to pack that particular item to return it to Amazon. The employee ended up requesting the help of another employee who ended up requesting the help of the third employee as a line grew in the store. Given the average age of employees present today, I was surprised to find only one (seemingly the youngest of the three working today) was wearing a face mask. Prior experiences at the store included not offering customers the opportunity to print documents, clearly this service has not been updated or changed whatsoever, as well as charging for the use of the computer, which was "out of service" today. I understand these stores are independently owned and may run on smaller revenue or limited resources, but offering the basic services could be a huge improvement rather than suggesting a customer go to Office Max or Staples. read more

I recently visited this location again and it is super super organized and clean. I love coming into a business that feels well maintained. That is the case in this store always. There is a new employee who is very handsome by the way and he is very great with us customers. I live directly down the street from this location and have for years now and every time I go in here the older blonde lady with glasses whom I can't remember her name is extremely rude every time and not helpful. I am in customer service myself so I take pride in this and I go out of my way to a different UPS store so that I do not have to deal with her because she is always there. I came here for a year straight to send a bi-monthly package to my brother across the country. Peggy was the worst. Peggy questioned why I was doing this every time. She got extremely rude and flustered under heavy crowds (even if the crowd was super patient and polite). If you are not sending with UPS, she will bombard you with questions until you change your mind. She made me feel awful every time I went in to do something nice for my family. Why feel this way during an act of kindness? So I went to the other store down the street and never looked back, life has been better since Peggy is out. I came in to buy boxes, I was not sure of the sizes so I ordered a few different ones for a total of $124. I asked if they did not work could I return them and she of course said "yes." Its kind of a drag that this place is sooooo close to the house. For years, I was used to going to kinko's where the upbeat staff is friendly and quick for service, perhaps I was spoiled, who knows. Anyways, just making copies seems to take way to long here. I have been 'stuck' there at least 3-4 times, and need to budget 20-30 minutes for something as simple as buring off 3,5,or 10 copies of a regular white sheet. Think I will stuff dimes into the xerox at the bashas across the way instead next time :( read more

Same goes for our experiences in the past. We will drive all the way to Tatum and Shea than go here. We had sent Christmas packages for overnight and paid a bunch for overnight shipping to CA. The packages arrive over a week late and this store was not helpful at all for the reasons for the delay. I can't believe that they are still in business. I can only echo the reviews of others who have experienced very poor customer service at this store. Peggy, the old lady, is a rude b*tch and resentful of the customers when things get busy. There are some common courtesies that cost one NOTHING but go a long, long way towards dealing with situations where people have to wait because there's only one person available. One of them is to make eye contact with the customer instead of avoiding their glance like the world's worst waiters often do. Also, if you're going to be a while at a certain task, let them know that OR!!!! ask them what they came in for. I just needed to drop off a package. I did not need to pay for it (maybe she was pissy because I wasn't going to spend money there... but I do, or used to, on other occasions! Not any longer!). I could have just handed it to her and been on my way 10 minutes sooner if Peggy had just thought to ask what I needed. And for fk's sake, say something to the customer when they leave. "Have a nice day!" "Sorry about the wait!" "Thanks for coming in!" SOMETHING. Or, if you want to be sure customers don't come back... do as Peggy does. Avoid eye contact. Don't apologize for the wait. Don't say ANYTHING when your business with them is done, as a passive-aggressive "don't come back, asswhole" going-away message. Make customers with very simple transactions wait and wait and wait. Make sure to wear your surly and unhappy face when dealing with more than one customer at a time. UPS stores are inherently flawed because each store is free to do whatever they want. This location is a perfect example. Every Monday I've been emailing documents that I need copies of to this store. And every Monday the old lady behind the counter prints me 50-100 copies charges me .10 or so a copy and sends me on my way. This Monday she decides to charge me some sort of $2.50 internet charge. This is a problem at all UPS stores, you never know what they are going to charge you for. It's one of the main reasons I use Staples. The other problem the old lady behind the counter is slow and rude. If she has more than one person in the store she gets overwhelmed and all flustered! She is not good with technology and is always mumbling under her breath. It seems like having to print my copies is more trouble that it's worth for her. I won't be back... read more

I do not like to write negative reviews BUT what happened a few weeks ago is not acceptable. Very rude response from Peggy, not sure if she is the owner. I dropped off a pre-paid overnight UPS package that was not received by the other party I was sending it back to. That package contained a very important document and a certified check and Peggy told me that it was not her problem that the package left her store on time and she had no idea were it was. The tracking report kept saying it was still on drop off site. No support whatsoever to try to locate the package because I had not paid for the shipping and label was originated somewhere else. Luckily I contacted UPS 800 number and they did everything possible to locate my package, it was finally received after 4 days. read more

My mother used their services to pack and ship a delicate item. It was thrown in an empty box with no packing material. Stay away from this business! I went in there today to ship 3 packages. One book, one small necklace and one box with a dress inside. None of the packages were large or heavy. The dress was sent to me from a friend for $8.75. The older gentlemen charged me $14 for the same package to be returned to her!!! The box of jewelry (I sell jewelry so I ship the same boxes often) usually ships for $1.95, he charged me $4.98. When I questioned it, he just shrugged and ignored me. He was just rude and not at all helpful. When I walked in I was the only customers in the store. It took him 25 minutes to figure out how to get 3 packages out. When I left there my blood was boiling! I've never had such horrible customer service! I've never taken the time to write a Yelp review before, but I was so disappointed in their service today I felt obligated to warn others. read more
