I have been to this store several times in the last 6 months. Only around the holidays do I feel it was under staffed. Without question, I have always felt that the people behind the counter we respectful & friendly! The UPS store refused to ship my return because I would not pay them $1 for a strip of tape to tape the box. Never have I ever been required to supply packaging let alone pay for tape for the box that is being returned with a QR code from Amazon! This place is the very absolute worst customer friendly location I have ever have the bad luck to experience. If packing your own package is a requirement then it should be expressed in the return instructions provided by the merchant! read more

The line here was a little long when I went but it moved quickly. Staff are very familiar with the Amazon return process.

Now I see why they have such a low rating. I showed up to the door at exactly 7. Drove like mad to catch them before they closed. I had my package ready and labeled, I just needed to drop it off. The door was already locked. The guy inside looked at me, shook his head smiling. What a jerk. Maybe I would've been less pissed had he at least said, I'm sorry we're closed rather than laugh at me trying to open the door. But seriously, I showed him that I just needed to give them the box and I guess that was too much. But the rudeness is what really made me angry. I was in town for a wedding and had to return the suit via UPS from a rental service - Came in on a Saturday and Michelle was very helpful, friendly and professional - we had it all ready to go and I was out the door in 2 minutes or least - very pleasant experience. read more

Walter, the owner of this UPS store is beyond rude! I won't ever come here again. Their service is beyond a disgrace. Do not come here or if you want to be treated like a human and a decent person don't come to the store you will get treated like you are a peasant. I am shocked that they even get service from anyone with the attitude this owner has I can imagine if he treated me like total garbage he is doing this to others and teaching employees how to conduct themselves in such manner. Horrible customer service. Manager Isabela very rude. Showed up well within their hours (6:10p) and they had closed because they said their systems we're having issues and because of the weather (3in snow outside). The inner cage was down separating the location from the front deposit boxes. I called because all I wanted was a envelope for a pre printed label so I could go to any Dropbox and they refused to give me one. I told them I didn't need to ship anything in with them so the computers being down wasn't an issue. Still nothing! I had to return a heavy package. So I pulled up on the curb & managed to get it out of my car & set it inside. I told them I would go park & be back. I came back in & there was a large young man there that could've taken the package to the counter for me. He just stood there. then I had to lift it up on the counter & again didn't say anything to me. I told him some help would've been appreciated but no answer. Horrible customer service! read more

I have been going to this UPS store for years and never experienced a problem. Lately though, the customer service is lacking. The people are rude and argumentative. Telling me I'm wrong and if I don't like it, to go elsewhere. Well, I will be. There are UPS stores in nearby towns with different owners. I can also use Kohl's for Amazon. Manager wouldn't give me contact information for the owner. She gave me the store's number instead of his contact information. Terrible terrible service. Went in to have some framed photos sent and they quoted me a price of $240 for ground deliver and fragile packing. I paid it and then 2 hours later the store manager called me and said they quoted me the wrong box. It was too big and I needed to come back in to re write the entire transaction. Since the fee was negotiable ($30) and not worth my time to go all the way back out there, they told me they wouldn't ship my items. She also gave me 1 hour to rectify the mistake. I asked why they couldn't use the bigger box since it was already paid for. The store manager REFUSED to ship it and would not explain to me why we couldn't use the box I already paid for and was bigger not smaller. It made no sense. She couldn't explain why but I needed to come in to re-write the contract. After much arguing and questioning without explanation she told me come get my things. She would not be shipping them. I dropped what I was doing to drive across town to pick them up. Drove the extra 7 miles to the store on Galena Blvd in Aurora and paid 1/2 the original quoted price Never using them again. So this is how ignorant the manager is at the UPS Store in Oswego...I walk in wearing a mask and I hand him my Amazon return. He takes my package, and before he hands me my receipt, he asks me to step back a little. I say sure. Mind you, I was actually further away from the counter than the guy before me was, I was wearing a mask and the manager wasn't, and the manager used the same gloves with my transaction as he did with the one before me (with no sanitizer in between). Dude, you might as well not wear gloves at all, and you're not only rude, but a jackass. The manager is so rude to me every time I'm in there. I won't ever spend money there - I will only use them for Amazon returns. The other employees are great, it's only the manager who is rude. read more

Today I had a email from ups to pick up a order. As i went to the store the First Lady was rude unprofessional she wasn't happy at all I explained to her that I was here to pick up a package from this store. She found the order and took her 10min to find the order # I provided. She then goes to the back and a female comes out she tells me that the package was delivered to the store and ship it back to the sender in Tennessee I then ask why she only told me it wasn't her that sent it back I then ask for the manager and tell me I'm the current manager Isabelle is the manager gives me a claims phone number to call and tell them the same store what had happened, her buddy next to her started laughing about my issues I had going on. To let everyone know any public building you are legally allow to take pictures/video for this exact reason bad customer service especially Isabelle the manager - after taking a picture of the store she then tell me I have zero rights to take a picture that is illegal. It doesn't make sense how you can record me but I can't take a picture- I know my right and if you try to tell me it's illegal will see how it goes in court you will get fired from working at UPS read more

if there was a way to leave a zero star rating, I would! All I went in for was to return a box with a prepaid shipping label. When I got to the store and tried getting them to help me print the label, their reply was they could not do it due to safety concerns. I was having trouble sending it to my email to do it on the computer. The store that I went to on 135th St. in Plainfield had no issues helping me and getting the job done, no matter what it took. The store in OSWEGO on route 30 had zero interest, or no need to help me create the label that I needed to ship it back to its destination. Instead, they made me go to Office Depot to get the label printed from my phone instead of helping me in the store and doing what it took to get the job done. I highly recommend not going to the store. If you are in need of getting something done that you need help with they have zero concerns about helping you to the contrary of the commercials, saying that if they will do whatever it takes to get the job done. it's a complete falsehood if you are needing something shipped, I strongly suggest going to Office Depot where they get the job done right in OSWEGO. The UPS store in OSWEGO on route 30 doesn't know what it takes to help customers and doesn't know what it means to have customer service they plainly do not care. read more

The box was full in the store so I asked if they had another , and was told yes in the back room so I asked if I can go back there to put into the box and was told NO , just leave it with them! I usually don't write bad reviews, but unfortunately the management of this store is an epic fail. I posted in my 5200 person Facebook group Speakeasy Illinois about the rudeness of the person at the desk (a petite woman with brown curly hair with a permanent scowl on a massive power trip) of Oswego UPS Store #1387 and several people say that the same woman made that store unpleasant even before the pandemic. I was at the Naperville UPS on Washington and Ogden and service was fast despite it being the busiest season of the year and full of people, I was in and out. At Oswego, there was a line nearly out the door, zero social distancing, and it was completely obvious the person at the desk was incompetent and in a horrible mood. I don't ever plan on entering the Oswego UPS Store again and I've told the members of my Facebook group they are better off avoiding it. Bad management and surly employees can easily ruin a business and this is a perfect example. read more

Very unprofessional. Had a 2:00 pm appointment for the notary. We arrived in time for the appointment. We were told that it would be 15 minutes because "She was in an interview." 2:15 came she was still in the interview. Needless to say, our documents did not get notarized. If you schedule an appointment for someone to come in, be available for it, instead of wasting the customer's time. read more

Store 1387. Everyone should be aware that this store must be a franchise. a company store would not be run this way. Went to print something. UPS website says should be about $.17 each. When I went to pay, I had to pay $2 additionally for "use of the printer." If you need to print something, go to Office Depot in Oswego, or the Montgomery library. this review is so long overdue, but i came in one time a while ago to ship a hoodie. there was only one person working, i think her name was bianca? i just wanted to say she was amazing, running the whole busy place with patience as people kept coming in (and it was close to closing time too). i even noticed an older lady catch an attitude with her for no reason which didn't even seem to phase her, as she continued trying to help her out and providing great customer service. i'm a barista and when people get like that it's hard for me to just take it lol. also there was a family who pretty much only spoke spanish and it was apparent that the UPS employee was not fluent, but knew a little bit and assisted them the best she could, prioritizing their linguistic needs. i told her she was doing great & i appreciated her, and that i would write a great review for her. she was very grateful, and i just never got around to writing the review until now. sorry it took so long! read more

I asked what was wrong because that is how my printer printed it. He tells me he isn't a computer tech so he doesn't know. Never have a problem here and I ship all of the time. They make sure the package is properly protected and offer better packing when needed or just add tape if they think its necessary. I have also seen them walk customers through things they have no reason to help with like telling a guy to hang on to his receipt for the stuff he is shipping to DirecTV becasue DirecTV tends to lose things that are sent to them. I had called to get pricing to see the difference between UPS and the post office and let me just say that the owner talked to me himself and he is extremely helpful and you can tell he loves his job/business! He was kind and comical, very personable. He was honest about prices and told me the difference between box prices and even gave me a total over the phone. He wasn't only looking out for my best interest but he actually took the time to help me figure out what box would be ideal for the items I was sending. They offer a military discount as well which was greatly appreciated as the owner is a veteran himself! Then, tonight I went in to get the box and dealt with the young man that was working the closing shift and he was extremely kind to me and helpful as well. He also made sure I had the right box that would best fit the things I had! Altogether I am EXTREMELY pleased with my experience here and if I could star then more I would!
