This store is really awful. Remember the commercials The UPS Store ran about carefully packing and shipping your important items? Don't believe it at this location. They did an awful job packing a fragile object which broke, of course. Then, despite the insurance I purchased, paid nowhere near what I had insured the item for. I paid over $400 to ship and insure my item and ended up in tears over broken shards. Terrible customer service. read more

After being a loyal customer of this small business since approximately December 2023, I have recently had multiple terrible experiences with the customer service. The month before last, I needed a Livescan service done. I made an appointment to make sure I'd be able to get it done while I was in the Sacramento area. I came to do my appointment, but the clerk said she couldn't help me because my paperwork was missing a code. Since my paperwork was generated by someone from the Forest Service who checks backgrounds for a living, I immediately suspected that the employees were being incompetent, but of course I didn't want to be rude. The girl asked multiple coworkers for help and even called a boss on the phone, and none of them could figure it out. I emailed my boss at the forest service, who taught me enough about the process to walk the UPS store associates through it. This was annoying, but I actually used to help manage the copy center at Office Depot, where we offered UPS services, so I was up to task. I helped the associate do her job, and my Livescan was completed. She mentioned that the post office was asking for some paperwork with my proof of physical address. I was very surprised by this, because I've paid this store at least $425 to serve as my physical address. At the time that I originally signed up for my mailbox, I was being illegally evicted from my apartments. I ended up moving into a safe house, going homeless for some time, becoming a volunteer in Yosemite, then getting a job in Yosemite. The entire time, I was paying the UPS store to be my address. I had actually chosen them based on the advertisements they were running at the time, which were clearly geared towards unhoused people. In 2023 and 2024, The UPS Store Corporation was running advertisements claiming that they offered residential addresses which could be used for all the same purposes as residential addresses. This has actually never been true. I've run into dozens of instances where big companies do not recognize my address here as residential. For example, I had to give my sister's address to my bank. Although I do have a physical address in Yosemite, it's not listed on any map. You can look it up right now if you don't believe me. Try to find "Redbud Dorm" or "Lost Arrow Dorm" or "Huff" (the three dorms I've lived in so far) and none of them are actually on Google Maps. The first time, I was told it wouldn't be a problem as long as I came back with my ID. So, the next time I was in the Sacramento area, I made sure to stop by with my ID. I was helped by a young man who looks like a Temu Billy Eichler but with reddish hair and thousands of strange tiny bruises on his calves. He looked at my ID, and seethed through his teeth. I mean he like, gleeked with anxiety. "Yeah, this is the problem, it has our address." I had specifically been told the last time this wouldn't be an issue. I was starting to get upset. He asked if I had any kind of rental agreement. I told him that all I had was basically a large index card that shows which dorm I live in and how much rent I pay. He said that would be fine. So, the next time I was in the Sacramento area, I stopped by for a third time to address this issue. This was now my fourth visit within a short period of time. "It doesn't have your address." "It's right there." "You live at 8863 Greenback Lane?" He said this in a really mean voice, even though the misunderstanding was entirely due to his own incompetence. "No, I live at this dorm." I said the address out loud and pointed to it. "This isn't a rental agreement." "It says rental agreement right there." "It doesn't have your physical address." "The dorm is my physical address." "It doesn't say who your employer is. It just says employee housing." "It says it right there." I pointed to the name of my employer and said it out loud. His coworker, an older Indian or Eastern Asian man, joined him in inventing mistakes that didn't exist. Again he reiterated, "It doesn't say your employer." "It says it right there." At this point I also busted out my employee badge and laid it on the counter. I've been a good customer for over a year. I've paid this business at least $425 to handle my mail, I've always paid on time, I'm on autopay. And then Temu Billy Eichler said, "This seems fishy." If the UPS Store refuses to renew my contract because they can't figure out how to read an entire index card between the entire staff, I will file a complaint with the BBB and then I will file a legal complaint asking for a refund of every dime I've ever paid. I will consult with a legal friend because I feel that there may be a potential here for a class action lawsuit based on false advertising. read more

We were there 3:30-4:30 on Wednesday 3/25. There was a little wait as 3 staff were helping the folks ahead. We needed notary services for 3 documents. The lady who helped us was so kind, even noticing that my daughter's care giver wanted to give my daughter her meds but we didn't have any water with us. The lady left and brought us a bottle of water without us even mentioning it. We also observed a man who came in with a big box not completely filled. The man at the counter cut the box down saving the guy some money on the dimensions. The price for the notary was very reasonable. Just all around excellent service!! read more

We're only open for 30 more minutes and And we just don't wanna do that. You can come back tomorrow, sir. Well, I'm sorry Mr. manager, but I was in yesterday and I was told that I could come back today and yet you're not wanting to give me my life scan and I don't have any other time to do it except this time of day, so what am I going to do if you won't help me Manager. I'm not willing to do any more business today. I recently reviewed that this store charged my husband for his Amazon return -I.e., to print the return label. I received a response to contact customer service via email on my review. I did as requested right away and I have not heard anything back. In terms of customer service, UPS is digging a deeper hole. read more

I come in here pretty often and there is always a long line! It's a popular place! Easy in/out and lots of parking. On the corner of Greenback and Hazel by the post office. They are always friendly and super helpful. We have had things notarized here, our passport photos, printing, and of course Amazon returns. They also mail items, and have PO boxes to rent. I will say sometimes they may be a little understaffed, but the staff is always so pleasant and seem happy to be there. Always understaffed and took 40 min to drop off packages. Line out the door and was doing fingerprints with only one staff member present. I was turned away a few times cause they didn't have enough staff to do fingerprints at that time. 5 customers left cause they couldn't wait any longer. Fantastic customer service! Service that, unfortunately, is rarely seen anymore. The United States Postal Service raised their rates again, so they returned the priority mail envelopes we had sent from our office. They were returned to our box at this UPS store. Pam called us to ask if we wanted her to add the extra postage and get the envelopes out in the mail again, offering that we could just give them the postage when we came in next time. YES!! So nice of her! She could have just bent them up and shoved them in our box, or she could have just set them aside and done nothing. Instead, she immediately took care of our needs in a way we did not even expect. She was incredibly nice and this was very much appreciated by us. read more

Today I tried to utilize the passport pictures at this establishment and ended leaving and going next door to CVS and had a much easier fast experience. We waited very patiently in line for over 10minutes. While waiting they answered the phone to help someone which was the first strike for me. There were 6 people in line and they answer the phone and HELP that person????? Then finally my turn and they have to move a bunch of boxes, more waiting. Then she gets the camera to help me and dead battery. BUT then she wanted me to wait another 10 minutes to charge. I took my business elsewhere. Terrible customer service. read more

I wanted to mail a Painting to Washington State. I looked on the website, and it said that the UPS store does all types of packing and shipping. They had everything from boxes to crates. However, when I called the UPS store there on Greenback, the lady was not very friendly. She did not offer any other UPS stores that I could go to. She just said we don't have anything that could accommodate that. And I said do you have any other stores, she said I had to call around. So much for customer service. I wouldn't go there again. So, Yelp states a business cannot pay to remove reviews but mine is missing and so is the last negative one for this place. I had reviewed them going all the way back to December as they had "lost" my sisters Christmas present after charging me a 100.00 to ship it. After filing a claim UPS sent the refund to the Orangevale UPS directly, but the employees kept saying they didn't have it. 7 trips to the store, 5 direct phone calls and 3 to the cooperate UPS, 8 WEEKS later, and my refusual to leave the store is what it took to get a refund. 5 Star establishment. I wandered in to this store and I found that excellent customer service is not just a rumored myth! Thank you, Erin! You are an accreditation to UPS, and I believe you need a raise. I came here to mail quite a few articles and I was absolutely lost on how to achieve this task. However, after wandering into this store it was absolutely no problem whatsoever. Literally, all I had to do was bring in all of my boxes and the employees here did all the work. Received a damaged package shipped via UPS. The box was clearly damaged and a liquid was spewing out. The package was in a bag labeled damaged. No clue why it would be delivered in the first place. Tried to return it to UPS store but they wouldn't accept the return in the condition it was it. Funny they are ok delivering it in the same condition. They said I would need to re-box it or get charged $3-4. I re-boxed it and returned the package. Then I was told he meant it was $3-4 to print the label not re-box it. Very frustrating ‍. read more
