Took a nicely boxed (save the top opening) pre-paid UPS package here today. They wanted 3 dollars to apply a single piece of tape to seal it. How cheap is that? My local UPS store in Auburn, WA doesn't stick their customers with a junk fee like this. In fact, they will even box things up for you if they have the materials handy. Had 2 of the worst customer experiences at this store. It wasn't too bad when just the women were working but even then it was far from comfortable. However when the man is there, perhaps he is a supervisor, although, I sincerely hope that he is not. I simply asked if I should put my Amazon package at the place on the floor where they usually go if your don't want a receipt. My 1st visit he turned from the counter and actually screamed at me to "Get In Line like everyone else." Waving his arms around violently trying to "Show me" were the end of the line was. So incredibly rude I was too shocked to ask him why I was being screamed at! The second time I went in for the same reason but when I saw he was there I did have second thoughts, I was in a rush so I took a deep breath and in I went. I asked the girl if I could put the Package in the same place again with no need for a receipt she just managed to get one positive word out before the man yelled at me again screaming for me to put it down!! I do not exaggerate when I say he yelled, in fact, he seemed quite close to violence. I feel the pain of the African American lady who suffered a similar fate as me. Even though I am white, I got no free pass through the gauntlet either.....perhaps it was because I'm an old woman and therefore not worth the effort of decent customer service. Not sure if the man is on medication and he just forgot to take it those days, if he is not perhaps he should be. I would not doubt he may physically hurt someone at some point not just mentally and emotionally. read more

Is it weird to love a UPS store? How about the great customer service? It really can't get any better than this place. I got a mail box there years ago when I lived in Olympia and now I live in Bremerton about an hour away. I still keep them as my mailbox because they are almost like family to me. I come in and they great me by my first name and go get my mail and packages. I travel a lot so when I'm gone for sometime more than a month they hold everything for me. They will recycle boxes and packaging as sometimes I will De-box things in order to fit them on my motorcycle. Yup, I love this place! They set the bar very high for every other business. read more

I recently relocated from Olympia to California and opted to ship my belongings with UPS. All of the employees at Olympia's UPS store--Sushan, Princee and Jacob--were exceptionally kind and accommodating throughout the entire process. They happily answered all of my questions and helped to relieve much of the stress that comes with moving out of state. They have also been wonderfully helpful for all of my mailing needs throughout my time in Olympia. I can't recommend this store highly enough and commend it's fantastic staff. read more

I travel to this UPS store to drop off packages as the closer mailbox store started charging for dropping off packages even with prepaid postage. It is a bit further for me to travel, but during the spring and summer, I drive right by this location and it is a bit more convenient. The personnel in the UPS store are always professional, friendly and helpful. They also make sure I get a receipt to track the return. I will keep using this UPS Store for my packages. They also gave me a few reusable grocery bags, and I am a big fan of reusable bags, so a plus in my book. read more

I am very very disappointed with UPS. It is not this specific location on westside Olympia. I believe they are nice and try best for customers. I dropped off the package that was delivered wrong address. It came to my house and the package doesn't belong to any of my household. Instead calling (which I should have), I decided to stop by the store so I thought they can deliver again. I also had another errands nearby the area, so it was on the way anyway. Then, they told me "I" have to bring to USPS, not UPS because USPS bought the UPS delivery (really??) so "I" have to call 1800 number and either I deliver to USPS myself or I have to bring the package home and wait UPS drivers to come back and pick up. So, UPS customer service make the front desk sounds looser and helpless and rude (in the way), and make the customers to work their mistakes to be fixed. At first, UPS drivers must double or triple check on the address and names before they deliver. Also, they must knock door and stay for a few min so we (customer) have time to check on the package. A little bit time makes a big different on customer service. UPS need to learn and must respect customer. They even don't apology for wrong delivery either. The personnels at the UPS store actually said (with respect) "We can't take the package. You have to call 1-800 number and ask them to come over and pick it up." "You have to do this. You have to take to USPS if you wanna drop the box off. It's not our job" This is how I would do for customer. I would say : "we apologies for the driver dropped off on your address. Unfortunately, we are not able to re-deliver for the package because we have separate business from store here and delivery, so I would write down the number you can call so the driver can pick up at your address. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your kindness to deliver the package. We are always here for help customers and we try our best. " Sorry for UPS employees out there who work for UPS with honor and I believe there are hard workers and delivery drivers who are sincerely bring us important packages and I do respect their job. But, unfortunately, there are a few UPS employees have no idea about customer services and inexperienced with certain situations who need enforcement of training. I don't recommend UPS. Wow, we were in town trying to get some documents generated and sent off. We were up against a tight time crunch. Susheh, Poincee and Torsten were excellent! They were able to get us set up with the copier, reissue our overnight shipping label (that I had screwed up), and get our package out on time. They also gave us water when they overheard my fiance say she needed some water as she wasn't feeling well. To add insult to injury, I locked my keys in my rental car. Torsten generously allowed me to use his cell phone as mine and my fiance's were both dead. Thanks so much for hiring superstars like these to take care of your customers! I have never experienced worse customer service than at this store. I went to ship a package, having a UPS account number given to me to return a piece of merchandise. I was unaware that I didn't have the shipping label necessary. When I went to the counter and told the man I wanted to ship it and had an account, he immediately said "This is a franchise", and said he could not help me. At all. I could not understand him well, which I'm sure contributed to his frustration. However, he was absolutely NO help, and instead of offering any information on how to get my package shipped, he simply said I had to go online and that he could not help me. I was flabergasted. I said "There's a UPS logo out front. You're wearing a shirt that says UPS on it. You can't help me ship a package via UPS?" He then said again that they were a franchise and was very agitated. Here's the topper, though. Up until now, I'd simply had a poor experience as a customer. I said, as I walked out with my package "That's really silly." He then shouted "YOU ARE SILLY! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! GO AWAY! GET OUT!" Shouting at a customer is not a good way to do business, nor is being dismissive and rude when they don't know the process to use with your organization. Horrible customer service! Tried to send a package to be billed to client and stated that upfront. The older lady employee packed the laptop and then said it would be $70 to send it and refused to bill the business that was requesting I just bill their account. When I repeated that I was not supposed to pay for it, I was told it would be $20 for the packing she had just done, a foot of bubble wrap and small box and tape. When I said I didn't want to pay $20 for a box the employee took a box knife and carelessly cut though all the packing materials and rudely handed me the laptop back and said I need to go to a different store to send it back to them. read more

What a joke! Took in a PREPAID Amazon return box like I have done many times before. I have gone to other ups stores with no problem to print the label and send the box off. This store charged me $2.49 for "emailing" them the label, $.29 for printing the label and $2 for taping it shut. I could maybe see a charge for printing a label but emailing fee.. This place is horrible. I went to get a simple estimate on shipping out a large item to leave completely frustrated and belittled. I was met with hostility, attitude and obvious price extortion for packaging an item. I was laughed at by them and felt uncomfortable the entire time! They were quick to judge other businesses practices and spent the entire time making a joke out of the transaction i was trying to make. I came in with a problem and they made it worse. I am a Olympian business owner who ships out tons of packages and I will never go to this location again and advise others not to go. read more
