This is my first time and the instructions didn't require. Obviously he thinks he works for licensing Real I D. Worst experience.

I don't know any specific facts or figures on the number of people served or packages handled, but every time I visited the place it was obviously inadequate for the amount of traffic it was receiving. I'm sure the entire population of the island was excited to see this new facility being built! The new Post Office, now located right across the street from the Fox Island Store, still isn't a very large place. At least now there's room for people to queue up INSIDE the building to do their business, though. More space also equals more P.O. boxes and mailing materials and such. There is also more parking available. One thing that did NOT expand, however, are the business hours: 08:00 - 16:30 (closed for lunch from 13:00 - 13:30) M-F and 09:00 - 10:30 on Saturday.

There is no after hours drop boxes for packages over 13 ounces. There is no automated shipping center in this post office. There is typically a line of 5 -10 people and one person working. It is a very slow process. There are a few grumpy workers but there is one nice guy that I always hope for when I go in. But hey it is the post office and customer service is not what they are known for.

The Supervisor is polite and listens attentively however is very protective and biased toward his driver. "Send pictures on the day it happens. I can't do anything without proof." Well, how about all the hoops we've already jumped through and compromised on to accomodate this driver's half-truth's about their inability to safely deliver directly to the houses on this rural road? Now it seems that overersized packages are torn and damaged while being stuffed into mailboxes where they don't really fit, making them near impossible to get out. There is a oversized packaged delivery locker right next to the mailboxes (this being the compromise from them not wanting to deliver to the houses) but the driver apparently would rather do anything than get out of their car in order to use a package locker when they can just drive up to the mail boxes.

I know it is not this office fault, but EXPRESS mail was in the country for 17 days and arrived to addressee in 2.5 months. USPS is great for mailing within the country, but if you have something valuable - use other services. But as I said earlier, staff at this location is great, they do their job.

We have now worked with Kim three times and she has consistently gone above and beyond to help us…read more The first time, we met her at a care facility and forgot our ID and she came back to meet us the next day which was Thanksgiving!!! She was so kind about the mistake. We had another great experience in May and then today she helped us with a big and complicated series of signatures. Her mobile office makes it super efficient to work with her and she's super attentive to detail. In our case, it's been a tough year with declining health of a family member and the circumstances of the signing are tough - but Kim's sparkling personality makes the experience so much easier.
