Wow! What a beautiful sunny Fall day! I had a few things to return at UPS, I was greeted by a friendly smile and outstanding customer service. The young man helping me made sure that my items were in the right order ( something I wasn't sure of) He went above and beyond to help me and was very quick! I was in and out and I left very happy. It was Sunday 11-09-2025 about 12:45ish just before 1:00pm. The store is clean, well organized, decent parking and the young man working greeted his next customer with the same enthusiasm as I was leaving. Amazon return. Service was good as usual. Tip: bring your own packing tape. A customer next to me had to pay for tape. This has occurred for me as well in the past. Some UPS locations will tape a package and others charge. read more

I went into this store today to get something notarized. This UPS store advertises notary services "anytime" which is great because I work. I came into the store at 4:50 pm after I get off work. When I asked to have something notarized the man behind the counter told me that he could not help me until tomorrow because he was the only notary and he was leaving after helping the person in line before me. I then asked him what time I needed to come back tomorrow because they advertise this "anytime" He asked what time could I come in, and I then asked him again what time I needed to be in to make sure I can get his done. He then told me that he was "working around me" and that he could just "not help me at all too". I left and will never use this location again. read more

I have had my po box here for 5 years. They have always been there to help me with whatever issue i have had. Very satisfied with their service. They are very busy. And to the comment someone left about them sitting on a table they were probably on their break. They are entitled to lunches and breaks. I love the people that work at this store. I went in today to print a flyer. The young woman who was helping me started helping another customer while I was emailing my flyer to the store. She continued helping that customer while I was waiting for her, so I asked another employee to help me. I did get the help I needed, but wasn't very happy that I had to ask another employee for help. I've been here several times and never had a problem. Also, I'm not sure if this is the way things are done these days when it gets busy. When I was in retail, I helped one customer at a time, even when busy. read more

Went in to drop off a shipment. Handed it to the worker, who scanned it and THREW it onto a pile, where it rolled off onto the floor. He ignored that because someone he knew arrived and his attention was fully focused on him. It's sad when people can't do even a simple job. The are many UPS stores to choose from. I am a local small business owner and use this location as my home store, however from time to time I drop off at the Olympia store for convenience. I will only be using the Tumwater store from now on, as my last experience at the Olympia location left me furious as they threw my box labeled FRAGILE on the floor with total disregard! This package was filled with glasses that are going to a client and I will be amazed if they arrive in one piece. The Tumwater store NEVER does this and is always a pleasant experience. They are super helpful and everyone working there is nice, and respectful and handle the packages with care-including the owner. If you want to have a super reliable and good experience with shipping whether it's for business or personal, then definitely use this store!! read more

The owner Jack was rude and dismissive. I had a saddle I needed to ship with a USPS First Class return label provided by the merchant. He took one look at the label and said "No way they will take that. It's more than a pound". He wouldn't listen to anything I had to say, thought he knew it all. I did pay him to put more cushion in my box and tape it shut. I then took it to the USPS, told him what happened. He said "the instructions are right here, we most certainly will ship it with that label". Thanks for doing your job Jack. The instructions were right in front of your face but since you decided you knew it all you just lost my business for life because of your smug attitude. Even if a customer is wrong you should hear them out, but especially when they are right. You might learn something. read more

I've never written a Yelp review before. I went in about 2 months ago to have some items notarized pertaining to the estate of a friend who recently died. The man (who I believe was the owner) noticed the nature of the paperwork evidently. I needed 3 or 4 items notarized and was told it was $10 per stamp. When we finished the man handed me back the paperwork and said "thanks, enjoy your day" or something like that. When I asked how much I owed he said "sorry for your loss, no charge, take care". I have to say that made me feel pretty good and was very cool. I will go back here when I need their other services. Good people. read more

These guys are the BEST! I always seem to have packages to mail off, and they're so helpful and nice. They also take USPS. I came in and was mailing off both UPS and USPS but ran out of tape for the latter and instead of making me buy a whole role of tape they offered to tape it up for me. What an absolutely horrific experience! From the time he yelled directing me to a counter and then walked away, subsequently walking up and barking at me demanding what I had, the gray-haired man whom I presume was the owner from the looks on faces around him--the visit to Tumwater UPS went from bad to horror! This guy interrupted, shouted "no" while angrily shaking his head, and attempted to demean me -- talking down to me and loudly correcting me. This was one of my first ventures out as a senior who has been in isolation for 1-1/2 years! Sadly, it was to be abused by this guy. I was about in tears by time I got home. One could feel the negative energy in the room. Also, neither he nor any of the staff wore masks, but all the customers wore masks, including myself. I wondered if he was abusing me as a woman of color, but after reading some of the reviews I see he is an equal opportunity abuser--it seems of women generally. Now, as an elder I will be forced to go out of town or to Tumwater Pack & Ship where the owner and staff are not only professional but kind and respectful. This is the best service in town!! They're awesome with mailing packages, printing and they have a really cool paper cutting machine. Jack, the owner, saved the day when I was planning my daughter's baby shower. He got all of my print work done and cut everything for me while I was standing there and at a really good price. I use this UPS Store exclusively, and have been for the last three years. I cannot tell you how pleased I have been with the entire staff there, including my interactions with Jack, the owner. I do not know him personally, but seeing someone at least four times a month makes me pretty familiar with him. He has never turned me away for a project or talked down to me. I think some of the reviews here are unfair, and maybe some interactions have been misinterpreted. Jack is friendly, but he is all business, as this is his own business, and will make sure he provides excellent service for your needs. Jack owned another UPS store prior to moving to Tumwater, so he knows his stuff! I frequently ship UPS from here, do Amazon returns, and have used notary, passport photos and printing services. He has gone above and beyond for me many times, and I have watched him do the same for other customers needing quick turnaround service, like business flyers. Had to ship a grandfather clock and two antique trunks across the country. Spoke to Jack and he helped us straight away. He special-built two wooden crates for the items and coordinated the freight shipment. He also helped ship a number of other items to various locations throughout the US. He and his staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. Even when the store was full - they took the time to ensure all our needs were met.
