I had such a great experience at this UPS Store thanks to James. I came in with several Amazon returns, but I also had a separate return that needed to go through FedEx. I wasn't sure what to do because I needed a box, and even though it wasn't something the UPS Store was required to help with, James went above and beyond. He found me a box, cut it down to the perfect size, secured everything, attached my FedEx label, taped it up, and had it completely ready for me to take to FedEx. He was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. It's rare to find customer service like that these days. James made what could have been a frustrating errand quick and stress-free. Thank you for going the extra mile--it was truly appreciated! Unbelievable and Offensive Experience at This UPS Store I had an absolutely shocking experience at this UPS location. When I walked in, I immediately noticed a sign at the counter asking, "Do you believe in Jesus Christ?" The employee behind the counter then asked me the same question directly. When I responded honestly that I do not believe in it because of my sexuality, he proceeded to tell me that I would "burn in hell," that my sexuality is "not natural," and that I should "go to confession to tell my sins." He even added, "If someone was committing a sin, wouldn't you want someone to pray for you?" I was stunned. This is completely inappropriate and offensive -- especially in a business setting. I came here to mail a package, not to be judged or proselytized. It's unbelievable that a UPS Store would allow an employee to display religious signage and interrogate every customer about their beliefs. No one should be made to feel shamed or harassed because of their identity when simply trying to use a shipping service. I sincerely hope UPS corporate takes this seriously. I have tried to be very patient with this location in the 5 years I've been forced to use it, but this location needs to work on staffing. There are at least 10 people in line at any point in time throughout the day and you wait a solid 20-30 minutes on a good day. They just remodeled but I don't see how that's going to help with any of the issues they have. Hire more staff! Have more people working the front counter. read more

I have lived in this area going on 7yrs. My experience has always been poor to maybe on some day satisfactory. Never Great or excellence I believe these employees are so over worked because this store is so busy. There are some days better then others and I have figured that out. I believe the owner tries to offer way to many services, $$. If you have someone in front that wants a print job, the customer thinks this is a personnel print shop. This should not be allowed. Shipping and returns should be top priority. Today I waited 20mintues in line for 2 returned. Only two employees, Ok, one behind the counter, working his butt off, Jeff, and the other guy with a customer on the computer. For 20minutes this customer requested this and that from the employee about how she wanted her print job. 20 minutes, really. Anyway, after 20minutes I left, never getting my returned completed. Wish there were other stores in the area. That would help for sure. I would never go this store if I had other choices. Edit: The owner reached out to me by phone and was very apologetic about what he agreed were unacceptable delays, but were the result of the volume of emails and calls they receive daily. Seemed like he was genuinely concerned about the store providing good service. I am planning a move to the Ocean View area, so I needed information on the availability and rates for their mailboxes. I tried to contact them during hours by phone (where I had to leave a voicemail) and by sending a message via the "Contact Us" link on their webpage. They never bothered to respond to either. My 2 returns went smoothly until I got to my 3rd and final return. I make sure to package what I need for these returns beforehand. This item was packaged in their own package that was clear... I am handicapped and getting into the Ocean View store was something that would have been difficult. I asked a customer who was walking in to please have someone come out to my car. A young man, Jordan B. came out and was very kind to bring in a package that I had to return to Amazon. He was able to do all that I would have had to do when I would enter the store. I just want to thank him on how much I appreciated his kindness. It really helped me very much, as it is painful for me to even make short trips as the above. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! Today I went to obtain my packages from my mailbox because I got an email from the store and from Amazon that everything was delivered. I checked my box and there were NO slips in my box which is protocol. Jordan who is a manager there was very nice and looked in the computer and saw that my package was picked up already. That is odd because I am the only person authorized with a key to get these packages. Jordan asked one of the clerks what happened and I told him my name and he pointed his finger at me and VERY RUDELY yelled at me "YOUR HUSBAND JUST PICKED IT UP!". I said I don't have a husband! Long story short he somehow gave over $300 of my stuff to strangers with "similar last names". He never apologized for yelling at me, he never took responsibility for his actions. Luckily the customers came back with my packages while I was there. Jordan was very nice and apologized. I promptly gave them my key and told them to cancel my account. I really like this UPS store. The employees are very polite, knowledgeable, and do their best to keep the line moving. The inside of the store isn't small, but there also isn't much room to stand and wait in line because there's stuff everywhere. The line is usually very long as well, so be prepared to wait. I've never been in a major hurry on my trips here so it hasn't been an issue for me, but I can see how it would get frustrating if all you need to do is drop off a return and the line is literally out the door and onto the sidewalk. I've done returns here and the process was mostly painless. They also do big page prints with a pretty quick turnaround time. The store offers a lot of services and the employees are a good group of people. Just take a deep breath and count to ten once you see the line. read more

I have been here many times out of convenience and am disappointed most times. It is similar to a Three Stooges episode only not very funny. If they are not super slow they are asking you to help. One time I was handed the scanning gun so I could scan my packages which were across the room while the clerk hit enter on the computer screen. Needless to say this did not work. The place is listed as a DHL drop-off center as are most UPS Stores. When I explained I had a DHL package today, I was looked at like I had a second nose growing on my forehead. DHL confirmed they are a drop-off partner. These guys have no clue. They are only in business because they have no competition. Do yourself a favor and drop off your UPS packages at the CVS across the street. All CVS locations are UPS drop off locations. You can get a receipt and get out before sunset. read more

The owner of the ocean view location would not help me. I had a return for Amazon for 6 pairs of shoes. They were all on one order code. He told me that I had to call Amazon and get shipping labels for each one individually. His mannerism was very rude. I called Amazon and was on the phone with them for a whole hour trying to figure this out. They gave me a new code for ups to scan but it was still only one code for all the shoes just like before. I drove to the Rehoboth location this time and they took my return with no issues at all. The owner at ocean view location would not even scan my label to see what I had. He caused me to go out of my way and spend extra time didn't need to just because he didn't want to deal with my order. I'm furious about this and was completely embarrassed while he had the line held up to not help m and be totally rude. I will never go there again! read more

My wife bought a letter of reference to get notarized for a woman's house cleaning job, and they refused to notarize the letter because the woman had a Latino name. They wanted to know her immigration status and if she was a US citizen. Would they have refused to notarize an employment letter if her name was Mary Smith? Real racism exists. read more

I went in to return a few packages during my break. Two people were ahead of me waiting at each of the two registers with store employees unable to do anything for them because there was a problem with the internet service. A third employee stepped up and I simply asked...or at least tried to ask (before waiting in line for the internet issue to be corrected) if there was a device that I could use once the internet was fixed to pull up my return code. The owner/manager of the store left the customer he was standing with, to rudely inform me that there was nothing they could do without the internet! Had he waited to listen to my question, or even allow the gentleman to whom I was addressing to answer, he would have understood that my question wasn't one that required the world wide web to answer! I have to say my experiences with all of the other employees have been nothing but pleasant in all of the years that I've used their services. read more

I sent keys and closing documents going out of state. Neither arrived when I was told they would. I tried to track them via UPS online and by calling the store. Neither way was able to track my packages. When I called the store, I got UPS, not the store. They told me something was wrong with the tracking number and I needed to call the store. Since I got UPS not the store using the store's phone number, I had no choice but to drive there directly and ask that this be straightened out. They were able to track the packages via the bar code. The issue was a 5 that looked like a 6. They said their phone number got them. It didn't. They said the tracking number was good. I couldn't read it. They said sometimes things don't arrive when they say they are going too. That they got right. Neither my keys nor the closing documents arrived on time. read more

I dropped off two pairs of Nike sneakers to return. The worker commented he loved one of them and offered to buy them from me. When I told him the size he said too bad it's the wrong size. He then took both boxes to ship them. Three weeks later, one of the boxes never was shipped. There's no trace of it other than the label was created. I called them and told them this story and they literally told me to call UPS and hung up on me. Beware of this store, it's very slimy and horrible service. read more

I go to this location often to mail packages for my parents, or for my business. Today I want with a a link to a label and was told I had to pay $2 to print the label. It was absolutely ridiculous but to drive back home 15 mins. away, print the label, and come back was not worth $2. They're obviously overcharging you because they know they got you. Well I'll be going elsewhere in the future, so perhaps their $2 was worth losing me as a customer. I'll be finding a new location to go to. read more

The gentlemen in this location are friendly, professional and ready to help with any needs you may have. We have never had any issues with our returns. The best time to go is when they open, though you may encounter a line within the hour as more and more people are moving to the area, and this is the closest UPS store around. Today, with at least six customers in the store an employee walked in from break, answered the telephone and began helping the caller while ignoring everyone standing in line. I brought in a very detailed drawing my daughter made as a Christmas decoration years ago. She now owns her own home and we wanted to replicate the drawing so we both would have one. As the drawing was on 12 x 30 paper, Brendan, had to technically cut the picture in 6 segments on the computer and merge them together to form one actual copy. The colors are even more vibrant than the original; and with some degree of difficulty, he was even able to copy a felt medallion that was affixed to the original. The set-up fee was low and the copy price was very reasonable. In fact, we're in the process of having Brendan make another copy for us -- this time, on posterboard! My husband and I went into this store today to buy tape and to ask if I had the postage right on a bulky letter-sized bulky. The man who waited on us was extremely unfriendly and said he had no idea, that they didn't handle postage. In disbelief, I asked if this wasn't a shipping store and he curtly said, "UPS," not USPS. So I asked if he could weigh my letter for me. Reluctantly, he did, and then walked away before I could ask him how much it weighed. When I asked him how much it had weighed, he sighed and slowly walked back to the scale to read the number off. We will not be going back to this store. Our local UPS store in Maryland has friendly, helpful personnel who will tell you which is the cheapest way to mail something -- UPS or USPS -- who put extra tape on your packages and letters, who go out of their way to be helpful. This man was so bad it was almost -- but not quite -- laughable in its absurdity. read more

I needed to send out some packages for work while I was on vacation in Ocean City MD... this location was the closest one without heading back inland, so off to Delaware I went. After seeing some of the WWII Coastline Watchtowers and a speed trap going in the other direction that I avoided on the way back I arrived after a twenty minute or so drive. "The Good" - The staff were a couple of retired gentlemen that took care of people in the store like they were visiting old friends... very cool and welcoming atmosphere. They stayed with you until you were done and went on to the next customer. - Standard envelopes and packing material if you need it, although there is a slight mark up but you pay for convenience. - Everything I mailed out from here arrived safe and sound... "The Meh" - The location of the center is a little funky, its a long driveway, but it does open up in the back to a "normal" shopping center. "The Bad" - Nothing really bad to comment on. read more

This is the worst UPS store I've ever been in. If I could give zero stars, I would. I went there for notary service. The two older men who work there are very grumpy and have the personality of a speck of dirt. The first gentleman called us up to the counter and when I said I needed notary service he motioned and said I needed "him", the other gentleman working. So, I stepped to the side and waited for "him". "Him" came over and asked what I was notarizing. I answered a Bill of Sale. "Him" then goes into this dissertation on how you notarize a bill of sale and it has to be a specific way and the other party HAD to be there. I said that I only wanted him to attest to our identity and the fact we are, who we say we are, when we sign the document. Then he and I went back and forth about it. "Him" then snidely said "are you a notary" and I answered "yes, in Maryland". "Him" then said that he could "do the thing" (specific wording). "Him" proceeded to print, very illegibly, the specific wording required and we signed the bill of sale. "Him" then condescendingly said I've been a notary for sixteen (16) years. During our transaction, a printer in the store started printing. "Him," very curtly said "whose using the color printer ?" "Don't use that until we speak to you". "Him" then turned his attention back to me and told me the fee for the service. I paid it and left and will never go back. I will literally go 20 miles out of my way before they will ever get my business again. read more

Be very dubious about this stores notary "service" claims. I called seeking to have a one page Self-Proving Affidavit notarized, and was told by the clerk that "we don't do Wills". I've used this store before for mailing packages, and have had federal government documents notarized, so I pulled up the website for this store (Ocean View). Sure enough, under their "other services" listing, notarization of Wills and Affidavits is clearly stated. So, I called the store again thinking perhaps I didn't ask my question correctly, and to share what their website stated This time, the same clerk asked another associate if they notarized Wills. This time, the answer was only if a "LegalZoom" form was used??? Frankly, I felt like they just didn't care. I'm just glad I called before making a wasted trip. Going forward, I will not use the Ocean View UPS Store for anything. read more
