I paid $205.44 for them to ship a $1,500 piece of art that I purchased from Renegade Art. They lost a critical component of the art piece itself and continue to refuse to respond to my contacts. They think that if they ignore the problem and remain silent, it will just go away. Both Rob Schmidt, the owner of the business, as well as Luz Lekrik, the Store Manager have been WELL informed of the problem and made the baffling decision to tarnish their store's reputation rather than fixing a simple problem. I even showed them how simple the solution would be, but they remain silent. Ordinarily, someone in my position would be quick to fire off one of those 1 star angry reviews we all see all the time and roll our eyes, but I will have to give them a little credit. The main piece of art that was received was very well packed, so I'll give them 3 stars for that, but the loss of the critical component, combined with their complete and utter lack of communication when the tiniest bit of trouble showed up earns them the loss of 2 stars.

It's one of my new favorite places. Local Nola at its best. Growing up my Mom always called small businesses with heart and charm "we try harder places". They had the audacity to tell me that when I go to my local yet different location, which has always been courteous, polite and patient, that I do not get charged $8 to send ground USPS but instead they told me I would get charged $20 for the same option. That they don't ever charge that up charge he keeps referring to, that the prices I told him when I politely asked him to be sure because (UPS locations) does not "up charge as a courtesy". So here I am making sure everyone knows that they are ripping people off and do not have a good business model at this location. Sadly, each location is privately owned which likely explains the awful customer service and conversation. I made sure to tell him I didn't care, that he doesn't care.
