06FEB24 ~ I am being kind with the three-star review. It had been many years since I mailed anything via UPS or FedEx, so I went by earlier when they opened to ask about how to use UPS. I spoke with a middle-aged male who moved at sloth speed, was not friendly, was downright grumpy, and did a good job of not answering my questions. I bought two King Cakes and returned. Thankfully another employee helped me, a younger female employee helped me. She was a little better. She at least knew how to use the equipment and helped me fit the two King Cakes into a box. Unfortunately, she crammed some packing paper into the box that mashed the plastic wrap down onto the top King Cake, causing about 40% of the icing to stick to the plastic wrapper. (I did not know this until it arrived in Denver) The cost to mail two medium sized King Cakes in a single box via ground cost over $55. Cost & service were poor. They do have ample clean free parking available. The store is very clean and well lit. Their tracking system is very good. read more

Ever need to mail a package, but have no idea where to go? This is where. Although called the UPS store, this location seems affiliated with UPS, but is not an official UPS location. They do all types of shipping and packaging through UPS, but you will pay a little more than you would if you have a UPS account and know how to drop things off or have a driver pick your shipment up. I don't have any of these things so this is a great place to ship things. In addition to shipping, the store also offers printing. I needed something simple printed on card stock and they did it quickly and cheaply. The staff were friendly and helpful, and will continue to use this location for my shipping needs. read more

Horrible! Lazy management. Called to ask for help retrieving a receipt from a month ago. Manager sounded dead on the phone. It took him every drop of motivation to send the receipt off. Then he said he had to go that "this is a business"...so rude I never write bad reviews but he's getting one. Advice: perk up your energy levels. AMAZING IS JUST THE BEGINNING! I would like to start this long, long review off with a disclaimer that although my review starts off pretty badly, it eventually becomes a very lauding story about our local store in Gretna, LA, and how excellent their service is. This summer, in preparation for moving my daughter across the country for college, I wanted to ship a few items to her dorm. For some inexplicable reason, she had gathered enough things to fill a box that was about 4 ft tall. After lugging all of my daughter's items from our house to the local UPS store #6984 where we were warmly greeted and assisted, and paying over $200 to ship everything to her dorm, including purchasing the insurance the employee suggested, we thought everything would get there early and in one piece. Unfortunately, when my daughter went to the college postal office to pick up her packages on move-in day it all went downhill. The moment we saw the box, the postal officer wheeled in on his carrier, we knew something was wrong. The sturdy cardboard box that we had carefully packed was now replaced with what I can only describe as a huge paper grocery that had been covered with tons of duck-tape(it was truly a thin short, wrinkled box that couldn't possibly contain what we packed -IT HAD TO BE A MISTAKE). The box was incredibly flimsy, and I couldn't even believe that they would send this to us. We both automatically insisted that the package was not ours and even asked the worker to let us look around the warehouse for the right box. After insisting it was ours and showing us the label with my daughter's name on it, we decided to take it up to her room and open it ourselves. Much to our surprise, it did carry some of the items that my daughter had initially been packed in our first box, which we must now assume was damaged and replaced with the cheap paper bag. But as I said before, the package only contained some of the things we had packed away in the first box, and most of the others were damaged. I can't recall all of the damaged or missing things, but I will try to describe the most notable. For some reason, the two blanket sets, which were carefully folded and wrapped up in their plastic packaging was now completely open and furled all over the inside of the box, tangled up in each other as if someone had decided to try them out. A pack of hangers was also damaged and bent up with some missing altogether. The notebook paper (specific paper for discbound notebook) that I purchased for my daughter was also ripped open from its package and now had bent and ripped pages all over the box, which we simply had to toss out. Lastly, the decorative stool that I had found for my daughter while we were still in my hometown was now wholly bent to the point where the removable top that you can lift off to store stuff on the inside was now complexly pushed to the bottom of the bin making it useless as it was no longer able to function as a stool but rather a somewhat misshapen basket. The worst part, however, was the items that were missing from the box altogether, including but not limited to a new hydro flask, an Amazon Alexa, and most importantly we lost some heartfelt mementos which we can never get back. Discombobulated and somewhat frustrated, I contacted the store immediately, and the owner (which I didn't know at the time) immediately got back to me. The owner/manager-I was not made aware of his title until all of the issues were resolved-listened calmly, he never tried to speak over me, he asked pertinent, relative questions, and clearly took note of everything I said. He seemed as distraught as I was and assured me that he would work his hardest to make sure that we were happy-I must admit I was rather doubtful as I listened to his calm voice. I didn't actually believe that he would genuinely work his "hardest," as I knew how these businesses often were, but boy was I wrong! This poor man did not take a break for even a second as he worked tirelessly to help us and make sure that we were satisfied. I am from Louisiana, so a week after all of this happened, Hurricane Ida hit us, but that didn't stop him either as he continued to work despite the loss of electricity, possible damage to his store, lack of water in the area, take a picture of something that is missing).  He refused to stop until we received our rightful refund-I did not ask for compensation on anything we could make work, wash, or fix. I write this review to inform all and give proper recognition to the Belle Chasse Highway UPS store. The store owner worked so hard to make sure we were made whole and make sure that we were satisfied with the service his store prides itself upon. I plan to go to his store for all future shipments and I have recommended my friends do the same! He and his employee were so helpful and easy to work with that I am delighted and hope you all give him a chance. Excellent service is always welcomed and should be applauded!! Thank you! read more

Horrible customer service. Let me give all my shipping info on two items before then telling me it was cash only. Then insisted that I pay 1.50$ for packaging that was ruined. Morning and mid-day seem to be the best time to use this location- three times I've checked their hours online only to find the store closed when I get there (two late afternoons and one holiday Sunday). & the last time I did call ahead, too. That said, when they were open and I shipped things the staff was always helpful and knowledgeable and things got on their way quickly. I've tried to print (large photos) there once. Over the phone I was given one price and told I didn't need to bring a CD or thumb drive, but when I got there a different staff member was working and I was told two different price options and that I'd need to come back with my own thumb drive or memory card... frustrating. 3 stars still, because the shipping went well and I love that they're so convenient in Gretna. read more

I had to ship a return and the company I was returning it to was supposed to provide me with two shipping labels, but only gave me one (unknown to me before I got here). Charged $2 for 18 inches of tape to close the the box I was shipping. Really? Never been charged for this courtesy in all the years I have used UPS, FEDEX and USPS. Luckily, I had cash to pay for this unheard of fee, since they have a $10 minimum for credit cards. Had the clerk been more understanding of my bewilderment, I probably would have skipped writing a review. But, no. She was rude. So here it is. This location...never again. read more

So happy to have found this full service store location on the West Bank! I have been in this store many times to ship packages and they are always busy. But this week I feel like I became a part of the family. Renee and Shannon are fantastic. I was in this store for over an hour using their rental computer when my laptop crashed. (AFTER HOURS) Those women are the most professional I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Earlier in the week Shannon stayed with me until almost 10PM to help with a presentation I needed for the next morning. Yesterday, I knocked on the door at 7:15AM and someone was there to let me pick up my flash drive that I left behind. I found out they are usually there way before opening and much later than closing but keep the front door locked for safety. Fine by me! Way to go ladies. You have earned another customer for life! I think I'll open a mailbox there and conduct all of my business. I love the family atmosphere and the positive attitudes. Thank you so much for your guidance with my presentation.
