I had a rather large package to drop-off, and with an injury I have, I'm still limited on how much I can lift. I felt horrible dragging my wagon through the store and having the worker grab out this huge package for me, but he was so kind about it. The one downside to this location is the very limited parking. If you come when it's busy, you're going to be trying to find street parking on one of Shorewood's busiest streets.

They don't speak much when you come in and if you want "extras" like a receipt, you often have to ask for it. Still, they have convenient hours and a decent amount of parking. Despite that, there is almost always some person who doesn't understand basic parking courtesy and manages to suck up two spots or park so close you can't open your car door. This is not the fault of the store - just people being completely self involved. I'd feel better if they had one or two more lights in the lot at night.

I'm usually here to return Amazon purchases and often end up waiting in line to hand my package to a staff member. During my visit today, I overheard an employee telling another customer that they have a self-service kiosk specifically for Amazon returns. I decided to give it a try, and it was easy breezy! Just scan your code, answer a couple of questions, print the label, and attach it to your package. Much better than waiting in line. I'll definitely be using the self-service option again.

When I got there I was told the new owner had raised the price to 51 cents per copy. What used to cost me a little over $100 was now almost $400. I was told the new owner had raised the price on copies to be competitive. I was also told the owner had called other UPS stores in the area to compare pricing before their price increase. I called other UPS stores in the area and found prices for copies were between 14 cents and 27 cents so this was a lie. Their copies are almost double what other UPS stores are charging. I think I will take my business to the one of the other UPS stores!

Yesterday, I went to the UPS store in Grafton to return a router to AT&T, who said all I needed to…read moredo was drop it off at UPS or FedEx. There was a line for Amazon returns, but I was told I had to stand in the other line, which was very long. When I got to the front of the long line, one of the two service desks opened up. As soon as I got in front of the clerk, she left and went to take care of the Amazon returns without telling me to go to the front of the other line again, which is where I had been. The guy who had been at the Amazon returns initially was off to the side in front of me and said he'd take care of me, but then immediately he walked out the door. By the time I walked out saying that I'd go to FedEx instead, everybody who had been behind me in line had been taken care of and I had not. In THAT UPS they take care of boxes, not customers. I will not return, even though that UPS is close to where I live. I've had other problems with them in recent years, but the only one I remember is the time a return to Amazon was mismarked. The was before they had a separate receiving area for Amazon returns. That's when I discovered that Amazon Customer Service is also useless. What a sad state of affairs our country is in. People really no longer think. They just do the next step on the computer in front of them. Instead, the first clerk who left should have instructed me and the other clerk that I was the next person to be be helped. Common sense no longer exists, nor does common courtesy.

This spot is so close to me it proves to be the most convenient, but I should probably do my dodillegence and compare prices at other places. In the end, packages leave here and get where they need to go.

I also am the only member of my family living in Wisconsin so I tend to do lots of mailings to family members all over the country. As such, I am always looking for good businesses to help me do my work. In the very short amount of time that I was inside this business, I found them to be friendly, helpful, and responsive. I felt like a queen. They listened to what I wanted and they were able to provide me service quickly and efficiently. I extremely impressed that they are one of very few businesses that take the time to welcome newcomers to Grafton. That, means a lot to me. It's very hard to move to a new community. Community. It's even harder to find out what businesses are worth your time. I don't know why more businesses don't welcome you to Grafton, but I appreciate the effort that this business made. If you live in Grafton, take the time to spend your money where businesses want your money! Clearly, this small business is taking the time to invite customers in. Once in, they take the time to make sure you know they will earn and respect your business. I LOVE that! To them, I say thank you for making me feel welcome to your business and to Grafton. Here it…read moreis May, and I had a major problem with it; the internet kept dying out while I was in the middle of doing something. Very annoying! Generally, I was able to reconnect but this would happen several times in a day! It was not our internet carrier, as my brother had a laptop that was running just fine, so I knew it had to be something in the computer. Finally, I could not longer reconnect at all, so I took it in to the store to see if they could help. There they ran a diagnosis and thought it was something in the hardware that was blocking it. I was advised to call Dell (the model I had) to see if they could repair it. I did have a warranty (2 years). First I had to call where the warranty was being held, and after they ran a diagnosis, they told me the problem was not in the hardware but the software and they transferred me to a Dell representative.. Right off the bat, I was told I had a warranty for the hardware but not the software problem and I needed to buy protection to fix the problem. It seems every time you call one of these outfits, you get a sales pitch. Finally I asked for what was the best bargain available so I could get this fixed! Prices ranged from $129 (1 year) to 225! After having already paid enough in February, the thought of that was troubling, but I went with the $129, figuring if I had to get a tech, it would cost much more. After 2 hours(!) of going over various issues, we found the problem though we still don't know why it happened; the internet was completely disabled. We managed to get it back up and running and I was happy, somewhat. At first I was angry at Dell, but it really wasn't their problem, it was Office Depot who should have told me I needed better coverage, so I could have paid at the time of sale. All I can say to people who buy their computers there, make sure you get a comprehensive warranty.
