Terrible service!! Sent an envelope with important school documents to Seville Spain, not only they overcharged me ($226.95 vs another UPS store $123), they send documents in a BOX!! Additionally the messed up the package description on the invoice stating "Dietary supplements, Samples and School documents" that caused the package to be stuck in customs. Package was supposed to arrive October 31st (a week after I sent,October 23rd) and to this day (November 13th) package hasn't arrived!! Due date for my school documents were November 10th, which I missed (with $12,000USD tuition paid) thanks to UPS in Mendham!! I sent similar documents yesterday in UPS Chester they charged me less, they sent in a proper envelope and they are arriving tomorrow!!! 2 days versus the original 10 days!!! I am flabbergasted on this store's incompetence and lack of responsibility. I went to complain and they denied any wrongdoing telling me to "make a complaint on line" which can't be done because the package hasn't arrived yet. If I could rate them with negative stars I would. Please make yourself a favor and use the UPS in Chester. UPDATES!! The package was delivered today, 25 days after I sent!!! I recently purchased an item in NJ and needed it shipped to California. I had a bit of anxiety going into this since I needed someone to pick it up, pack it (it was fragile) and send to me. I also didn't want to spend a fortune and some specialty places wanted a lot of money. On the recommendation of the place I bought the item from I reached out to this UPS. Long story short - this branch and its employees were absolutely excellent in every way. Once I decided to use them someone was in constant communication with me, keeping me in the loop re pick up of my item, packing and shipping. They had it all under control. The price was very fair and today I received my item and it was still in one piece. They packed it perfectly! I'm so happy this UPS store was recommended to me. Special shout out to Ms Frankie! This UPS store was once owned by 2 wonderful people that loved their business. It is now owned by a group . They have young inexperienced help that have not been trained properly. There is no customer service. 4 of 8 packages never arrived at there destination. I got no satisfaction. I ened up contacting UPS directly. They realized how badly i was treated along with my customers who i shipped for. There is a great alternative Package Plus 224 N. mill Rd long valley . It is right outside Chester and worth the ride. I live in town and do a lot of mailing. I like to support local business and since I do a lot mailing I feel a private business would treat me better than the USPS (which is exactly the case at the UPS store close to my work). Sadly, this is not the case here in Mendham. I have shipped from here a few dozen before finally getting offended enough (and nickel and dimed) to boycott. It is owned and operated by a husband, wife and, son each one is more inept than the next. As the previous poster said If your package is needs any prep expect at least 20 bucks. They are slow and spend a lot of time gossiping and a long line at the counter doesn't seem to make them lower their voice or stop the chit chat and gossip. I've also had more than one package disappear from here. The also don't do the gratis stuff like let you drop a FedEx package there that the other stores I have used do. The thing that made me boycott them though was their total disregard for my privacy. They always seemed way too interested in what was getting mailed and to who (and wanting to gossip with me about other customers). One package was a little sensitive and despite me saying I didn't want to talk about with a very clear disdain in my voice they continued to insult me about it. read more

I travel A LOT, so I rely on reviews to help guide me where to go for my business. I was in the neighborhood visiting a customer of mine, and he needed me to ship something for him. Went right to Yelp, and found not so great reviews about the UPS Store in Mendham. My time was tight, so I figured I'd go in, to ship my customers package. I was warmly greeted when I walked in, by a very nice woman, probably the owner. I asked her to send my clients package, and she pleasantly obliged. While I was there, I asked about copies, as I had a sales training presentation that I needed to print, ASAP. The woman, I think her name is Cynthia, quickly helped me, and I was off to the races. She set up the printer and had the presentation collated and stapled so fast, I was so happy I stopped there, all with the pleasantry you would expect from a locally owned small business. I don't normally comment on businesses this way, and realize that sending packages and printing presentations is not high on the scale of excitement, however, I would highly recommend this place if you want a great local experience, and fast and friendly service. I have know Chuck for years, and he does a lot of business packing and shipping for me. He is honest and reliable. He does fantastic custom packing and can ship expensive items flawlessly. His pricing and service is top notch, I can't say enough good things about him and his business. read more

I have never had a good experience there. Be prepared to package your own stuff, because they'll charge you just for putting something in a box. And ALWAYS bring your own tape because they'll charge you for that as well. I brought a package in and needed to tape the label on. After asking the lady (I did not get her name, I believe she is the manager) for a few pieces, she says if I need tape I will have to buy a roll from them. If I wouldn't buy a roll, they'd seal my package and label with a flimsy patch that looked like it could peel off if you breathed on it. I will not be going there again. read more

Been to this family owned shop for small items to large expensive shipments requiring boxing...Chuck & Cindy & staff always helpful, above & beyond. They even do a lot extra such as emailing tracking. Always will advise me if overspending and let me have an another option.....Personal and professional. Do not listen to other reviews, live in town and been going here a decade, saw review people complain they don't walk in & get free tape? Silly, they are a small business...! I have been a customer of The UPS Store in Mendham for about 10 years and have used just about every service -- packing, shipping, copying, notary and passport photos. I have never had a problem or issue. When using the packing service, Cynthia has often given me a couple of options and then I can choose based on my budget and what I am sending. I moved from the Mendham area a few years ago, but I still drive back to The UPS Store because I can trust that my package will arrive safely and securely. read more

Constantly poor and discourteous service. I do not recommend having passport photos taken there. Twice they were sent back to me as they did not meet government specifications, and twice the store owner insisted that they were good. Grumpy and rude, never a good experience. read more

Free shipping return to Amazon... There's a list of boxes for ~$2 each and I somehow get asked to pay over $7 for the box to fit. Asking for a cheaper box just got a "that other one won't work for your box" because its too big. read more
