I watched the customer before me yell at him for not smiling once while he handled her shipment, and he stayed calm and professional the entire time despite her intense energy. Not that this review will change things, but I've never encountered a company that cares less about its customers than UPS. Every time the package requires signature or be dropped or picked up, they don't even attempt to ring the doorbell. They just put a tag on the door and leave. And every single time I have to drive to their stores with infinite lines to deal with it. read more

I came into UPS today at 10:00am and upon attempting to use the recycling services the employee tells me in front of other employees "You know we charge you to use that". I'm not sure if he felt I would not pay or if something else was going on but I hope he understands that this was not ok and can be seen a rude and unfitting. I then called the store to obtain information for the manager and he pretends to be the manager after telling me seconds before that the manager was unavailable. I have used this UPS Store for a variety of purposes, including shipping packages, faxing documents and document shredding. Stopping in the store is a always a pleasure. Stephanie runs a tight but welcoming shop. She's always knowledgable and helpful. But to me, the real star of the shop is Josue. His welcoming and friendly attitude always brings a smile to my face. He's funny, personable and always ready to say a kind word to me or my girlfriend. I have an ADA Fragrance Disability. Recently, UPS store manager Aldo installed an endocrine-disrupting carcinogenic synthetic fragrance plug-in in the store. On November 26, 2024, I informed him that I suffer from ADA Fragrance Disability. He said he would not remove the plug in. So I asked for a reasonable accommodation- - to be assisted outside. He refused to assist me. I checked back into the store yesterday January 2, 2025, the plug-in was still there, I reminded him that I have an ADA protected disability, he once again refused to remove the plug-in and discuss any alternative fragrance free options like carbon filters, and when I asked him to assist me outside as a reasonable accommodation under the Americans with disability act, he once again refused. But this time he laughed, rolled his eyes in front of his coworkers and other customers, humiliating me and discriminating against me based upon my disability. I have filed a report with the United States Department of justice, I have filed a report with a Better Business Bureau, and I'm going to continue until: 1. UPS provides me evidence that Aldo, and all managers in all stores in Los Angeles have been retrained in ADA accessibility 2. UPS Removes the synthetic fragrance from the store I wanted to let you know about this in writing before perusing my legal options. 3. I receive a written apology from Aldo acknowledging that he violated my civil rights on two occasions. I look foreard to your expedient and accessibility-trained and ADA-informed responses. read more

They employed the company hotline, and it was resolved within 24 hours (despite being for a remote rural address). I could not be more grateful, as this was a special care package for a friend. This review is about a month and a half overdue. But since I'm day drinking on my way to San Diego and need to kill time, I will leave my review. I needed passport pictures. I went to cvs across the street....don't bother with cvs. You've been warned. Wasted 45 mins in there. Eff CVS. I said it. U heard me. Anywho I googled passport pics and my zip code and lo and behold, ups across the street. Long story short (too late for that) I was in and out within 5 mins. Only one person was ahead of me. I used the UPS app to schedule a notary service. The service was accepted and I got a confirmation email for the job. When I arrived I was notified that this store doesn't honor or even use the "corporate" information or scheduler, and the notary was at another site. So I spent 30 minutes in West LA Saturday shopping traffic to go to Santa Monica and get a notary who might even be there. Another half hour to drive three miles home afterward. I'm sure EVERY store can "blame corporate" when it's convenient. But I will use the more professionally run stores downtown from now on. This store only appears handy for dropping off, as long as you can do it between 9 am and 5 pm. read more

Going to the UPS store for me on Venice and motor is very convenient cause it's within walking distance from where I live so if I need to return something to AMAZON, I'm able to walk there go inside. Use the machine to scan the QR code. Print out the label and put it on my package and drop it off and go. Which I'm very grateful that they decided to implement that into every UPS star because it makes it a lot easier for myself having to drop something off that I'm returning to AMAZON or in need of returning an item that is required for me to print out a label for UPS rather than having to stand on a long line and wait for them to help you. So on that aspect, it's very convenient. On the other hand about 6 to eight months ago maybe longer I was coming in to the UPS store at that location in particular. To drop off packages to return to AMAZON in the packaging that they actually came in and there were two gentlemen behind the counter who would give me a hard time about how they needed to take the item out of the packaging that they came in that was delivered to me in via Amazon and package it themselves, even though AMAZON prefers that you put it back in the original packaging in which your item came in. And I did in fact contact AMAZON to let them know about this because I know how they are and how particular they are with regards to returning items. Owner's original packaging unless you have thrown the packaging out then if you have a box or something to put it into then do so or a manila envelope. But I don't need them telling me that it's their policy to take out the item and package it themselves in a plastic bag a large one the people behind the counter were very argumentative, rude condescending and belligerent too young men who behaved like they were in high school school and you actually look like they belong in high school. So now when I go in, I make sure to have my packaging and I conceal the packaging with tape and I'm not giving a problem about it nor should I have ever been given a problem from day one. So I one hand yes I recommend the UPS store for the convenience of dropping off your packages and the ability to be able to use the machine for your QR codes or UPS for church shipping labels but I just don't like the customer service and their lack of respect for a customer when they come in and they want to drop off a package and you decide to take it upon yourself to take it out of that packaging and do it yourself because you think that it's OK to do so read more

First of, I've noticed that he's very condescending to women. He yelled at me after I asked how to do the printing there. I ended up leaving. I go to this one because it's the closest to my house but honestly after the last time I was in there when he straight up disrespected an older woman with her boxes, I think I'll be driving a little further to avoid him. Stopped by on a couple of occasions to drop of an amazon return and for postal service. The staff are always helpful and professional. It can be a stressful and demanding job but the staff manage things well. The parking lot is pretty small with a convenience store adjacent. If you want a smoother visit then you might try parking along Venice. Just be sure to feed the meter or you'll get a ticket. read more

This is my go to UPS STORE. Today, Aldo took my stress away. After struggling at home when trying to repack a Shark Navigator Vacuum for return, I called the UPS store to see if they could help. Cheerfully, without skipping a beat, Aldo said "if you bring it in, I will try packing it for you". It took Aldo only a couple of minutes to pack, box and prepare the shipping label. Who looks at yelp before going to a UPS store? Not me! That's my mistake. Don't be like me....DO NOT COME TO THIS UPS STORE. I came in today because it was 5 minutes closer to me than the wonderful UPS store I usually go to in Marina del Rey. BIG MISTAKE. Parking? Sucks. Tiny lot with difficult access from two busy streets. Had to wait 5 minutes for a spot to open up. Give some change to the homeless guy camped in front while I wait in line. Go into the store and there's two other customers with me. Mike looks stressed out and frazzled. He tells the young lady in front of me and me that he cannot send our packages because he cannot print our labels because he is "too busy" and to come back in an hour, maybe two. Excuse me? I look around the store, there are only 3 of us and he's kicking 2 of us out....because he doesn't want to do his job? I'm confused. I remind him that we all have jobs and things to do and we are here now and the store is not overwhelmed by any means and can you please just take our money, print our labels, and ship our packages? He then gives me attitude, saying "did you hear what I said?" I said, "yes, sounds like you don't want to do your job." I then leave and go to my car. As the young lady and I walk out, visibly frustrated, the homeless guy out front says "what did Mike do now?". Clearly I am not the only one frustrated by this guy's actions. (Which I am now seeing a lot of evidence on Yelp). He waits a moment and then follows me out to the parking lot. Then he starts yelling at me and calling me stupid. THAT IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I am appalled....not so much that he is calling me stupid, but that he is ACTING LIKE HE DOESN'T HAVE TIME TO PRINT A LABEL but he does have time to LITERALLY LEAVE HIS ONLY REMAINING CUSTOMER IN THE STORE AND COME OUT TO HARASS ME. I just had horrible customer service from a gentleman that was working today Thursday March 16th at 4pm. He did not say hello and I could tell right from walking in he did not want to be there, etc. I just wanted to track a letter with important medical information, he just stared at me when I asked what I should do, since they would not accept the envelope I already had put stamps on and had ready for him. Normally they talk you through the process or start the next steps. He was just staring at me. Maybe he is new & or was not sure what to do. He walked extremely slow, hands in pockets, none responsive for all interactions after this, until I got frustrated and then he passive aggressively asked how my day was. He having trouble entering the addresses & was extremely rude the rest of the interaction. I said nothing rude in return, just replying that my day was not that great. He just stared after eventually giving me my receipt; no goodbye, anything. One of the worst customer service experiences I have had in a long time and I have extremely low expectations living in LA. I went here two days ago to drop off packages. Reading the negative reviews echoes my experience, some almost verbatim. Mike Williams who seems to be the owner seems to be bipolar! Some people here say he was really nice to them and went above and beyond. He yelled at me and told me to stand behind a sign. I said is this the post office? Even they are usually nicer in tone than you! That sent him off the rails and a shouting match ensued. I guess if you enter Mike Williams' UPS store, you have to be mindful of two things: 1. What kind of mood is he in? Good, then you're ok. Bad, then stay the hell away! 2. Follow HIS rules. Your feelings on the subject are irrelevant. I won't be going back ever again. He seemed like he needs to be in control all of the time and I don't think that works in customer service. read more

I came in today to drop a prepackaged item and due to my arthritic wrist and hand, I was going to put down the box onto the front counter when all of sudden he shouts at me and points to the middle of the store, "the line starts there!!". Mind you there were only two people in the store and I was one of them, he was helping the other. He continued, "if you don't want to wait put it on the rack!" and points and motions to a rack to his right. I usually stay to make sure I get a confirmation, but not today. I had enough. There was no need for his shouting and pointing and curt behavior when all I did was try to put down a box on the front counter. I've been coming to this store on and off for several years now and I hate to say my overall experience with this person is not good. Most of the visits I had he was really high strung and was curt and absolutely rude. I realize that customers can be frustrating at times but unfortunately, this is the nature of this industry. Perhaps he is so concentrated on his work that he thinks he's doing a good job and doesn't realize how he's treating his customers. I don't know. Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this UPS Store for any drop-offs or packing. I will no longer use this store. If you already have it prepackaged with a label go across the street to the CVS store and drop it off. read more

The service is good but if you use UPS coupon have to double check the staff get it right. I had a coupon for shredding but the person behind the counter misread it. It said up to 10lbs free but they interpreted as 10lbs for half price instead of 20lbs half priced. So with a 16lb load it should have cost $8 but they charged $11 so overcharged by $3. I tried to use this UPS store to send an Amazon return but found that the service rep was rude and abrupt. When I walked in there was one person being helped at the copy machine in the front. I tried to walk in far enough to see if anyone else was behind the counter the clerk at the copy machine barked at me to step back. To be clear I was more than 10 feet away from the counter when I was told to step back. When I showed him the Amazon return he told me the system was down and to try again the next day. read more
