I like this ups store cause the customer service is great. The store is a bit small but their customer service is mighty. The parking lot is small and street parking can be a bit difficult since it's in a busy intersection.

On February 25 around 4:55, I arrived at this shipping center to pickup my correspondences and…read morepackages. I have been a long customer and mail box renter since 2010. I have seen many personnel turnovers, and have had many wonderful and less than wonderful experience in the past, but nothing as annoying and degrading as what was experienced on this particular day: Upon arrival a lady seated in the shouts: hey, I noticed you receive a lot of envelopes, would you want me to secure them in a clip and hold them for you?" I, wasn't sure what she was implying or asking however, I sensed she was trying to do something "good" for me as she has always been polite, respectful and gracious in the past. So, while I was trying to comprehend the gibberish, another receptionist, a male dragged out my two packages, walked up to the computer and said:" Also, I just want to let you know that your mail box was due on February 17..." This was uncalled for, rude and aggressive, needless to say untruthful. I told him that I had already paid on February 20th through their website to which he replied, well the payment is not registered in our system." Oh really, that shows your system is either incompetent, flawed or is designed to defraud the customer as you are through shame trying to extract a second payment from me. I told him to check the stores website, he peevishly checked and said: Ah, yeah, I see a payment for $66 (Three months rental, which goes up every year from $2 to $4) but it doesn't have your name." I asked: "If online payments are an effective option to submit payment, why are you putting me through this uncomfortable situation? How many people have you confronted for non payment because of the same flawed communication between the website that collects your payment system and the computer in front of you? He mentioned the owner again and said he understand my frustration. Here is the thing, I found his approach was infuriating. He should had checked the website that collects payments before assuming my payment was delinquent and much before approaching me with a false accusation. Also, why not drop a written note on the mail box a week before the payment is due? Anyhow, I proceeded to ask what was the problem with the glitch and he said he had no idea and will speak to the owner about it. In my opinion the mail box rental goes up because, "everything goes up, right? " Then how come customer service and competence remains the same and or even down? Second issue, we are charged for a key that unlocks the front door after duty hours, this is part of the rental agreement. The front door lock has been broken for a week and this service is not offered, even though you are paying for it. Lastly, In my opinion, The payment glitch issue is designed to defraud those vulnerable, like the elders and other people afraid to speak up. If I this doesn't change I will be forced to file a fraud complain with the Long Beach's Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.

They greeted everybody that came in. They notarized my document quickly, and I was done in under 10 minutes. The place has things you need like cards and cute little knick knack gifts. I have a mailbox rental here and they also take care of my outgoing mail or when I need to send a package. I am able to receive packages that might otherwise be left on my doorstep in Long Beach and could disappear and I just pick them up on my way home from work-it's perfect. So I'm relieved knowing that my mail and my deliveries are secure. Every year around tax season I drop off tons of shredding it's unbelievable how much stuff accumulates and the price for shredding is completely reasonable and since I've been using them for more than 10 years I trust them too. OK and I just have to mention their gift shop! Completely unique gifts and cards, I'm not much of a mall shopper and I love to support Robin and her small business I want them to stick around pretty much forever so I can't say enough good things about her business!

Instead, I was refused service without any explanation. The employee would not review the contents or provide a valid reason; he simply refused my request. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service was unacceptable. Being turned away for seemingly no reason other than his apparent unwillingness to perform a basic customer service task felt arbitrary and potentially even discriminatory. Customers deserve transparency and if we are lucky, a modicum of respect, and I received neither. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location, especially for time-sensitive shipments, and especially if you are a woman. UPDATE: It's disappointing to see my experience dismissed simply because you have "no record" of it. I was there, and not alone. My friend witnessed the entire interaction. Lack of internal awareness doesn't mean it didn't happen. If no one on your team recognized the behavior, that's an accountability issue, not a customer issue. I stand by my review.

Then I figured out why the owner is the only staff member and sometimes family helps but really it's just him, and he's never there reliably. In 3 months there's not been one day where they have been open during their listed business hours. I've gone sometimes several trips a day hoping they'd be open and nope closed yesterday for over 6 hours in the middle of the day. Packages are regularly unable to be delivered, I'm getting messages about it from Amazon weekly. Then if you complain about it the owner a self described trump supporter will give you a sob story about how he's sick and business is slow so he can't pay an employee, which sucks but maybe if you operated like every other business and were open regular hours you say your open business wouldn't be so slow. The owner has no accountability and when my wife called angry that she couldn't pick up her meds for days because he was closed he started yelling talking over her and being upset. When I went over to get the meds, he was rude and disrespectful to me and talked about my wife in a way I didn't like. I canceled our mailbox. I'm reporting him to the agencies that deal with this, you can't charge people for a mailbox then hold their mail hostage because you can't afford an employee to stay open. I wouldn't use this place if it was free. I do not recommend giving them business.

They have a wonderful variety of sage (I love sage). They also have hand made bars of soap and Florida water etc. they have teas and dietary supplements too! It's a hidden gem. Everything is reasonably priced too!

I've been going here for years, since LONG before it changed ownership. Sometimes lines are long; sometimes they aren't. Regardless, they scan my packages, and they arrive at their locations - often a little late, despite me always selecting overnight delivery, but that's not this location's fault (I assume). I will say that the new franchise owners are a little more pleasant than the former; I think she'd grown jaded, and as such I kind of totally got it the next time I walked in and she wasn't there - good for you, girl, for selling and moving on. I love that the new team is always hanging out, being real; i feel more at home, tbh. I will say that of the three area UPS stores i've ever had a reason to check out, this is consistently the best. And at least if you wait in line for ages, you can pop over to Steel Cup next door for something good on your way out (coffee/beer/lunch/breakfast/mimosas) - or, if it's been an annoying enough experience, across the lot to Blondies for the hard stuff. in sum, it's a UPS store. if they get your packages out, i mean, that's a win, right?

They've always been helpful and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, my experience with the woman who works the morning shift (middle-aged blonde hair) has been consistently unpleasant. She never seems to be in a good mood, and today was especially off-putting. I stopped by to pick up my mailbox key after being told by the owner that it was ready. She located the key in a small envelope and literally tossed it across the counter to me. I was honestly taken aback and said "Geez," and she responded with "Have a good day!!" in a very sarcastic, demeaning tone. This isn't the first issue I've had with her. When I initially came in to set up a mailbox, she told me the system was down and that I needed to come back later. I later found out that wasn't true--it seemed more like she either didn't want to help or didn't know how to process it. Based on other reviews, it sounds like I'm not the only one who's had this experience with her. It's unfortunate because the rest of the staff has been great, but interactions like this make it hard to want to come back.
