At your risk UPS Lakewood Ranch store charged me $143.05 to ship 1000 piece puzzle to Rockwood Mi 48173. Amazon shipped a 119 in by 20 in puzzle frame. I repacked the finished puzzle in the same box and foam protectors that Amazon shipped the picture frame to and tapped all with clear packing tape. This is a fairly typical UPS store with all the normal services; shipping, packing, mailboxes, notary, copying, shredding etc etc etc. They are usual quite busy with so many people living nearby. The staff is always hustling, so even if there's a long line, it moves pretty quickly. The gals behind the counter are also friendly and pleasant to do business with. My go-to UPS store! read more

I would not recommend this business. I stood for such a significant amount of time at the counter that I had to shout out to the back room, to make sure the store was attended. The employee was curt and mumbling, so what I assumed was going to be a $8.58 purchase turned out to be a $58.58 purchase. Horrible for Amazon returns. I brought a large return in and they wanted me to purchase a box in order to ship it. When I said that Amazon didn't require it, they said they'd find something. Well, instead they never shipped back my return. Finally, after more than a month and lots of time on the phone with UPS and Amazon, I have a refund. When we went to their location to inquire, they say they've shipped it. Not true. read more

Line moves quickly if there even is one and the staff is friendly. However, I've had two incidents now where I've returned stuff for an Amazon drop off and it has not made its way back to Amazon. This is problematic because I get charged for the item. The one receipt I lost but the other I have and will be looking into it further to see if I can figure out what happened. I don't live locally (I live in a major metro area) and I've never ever had issues like this before. I don't know if it's carelessness or someone is taking things, but I can't go back there now with two instances like this. read more

This UPS store should really have no stars at all. I got there at opening on a Monday morning. A gentleman behind the counter had no clue as to what he was doing. I waited 20 minutes and finally had to leave because of a large number of people in a very small area following me. The UPS man made an announcement that he had new software which he did not know how to use. In fact he was on speakerphone with a UPS computer jockey trying to figure it out while we all stood there. This is no way to conduct a business. I had no idea if he just didn't know how to use the software or it was really new to be first used on a Monday morning at store opening! When I told him I was leaving and could not wait any longer in such a small space and ignore CDC guidelines, he did not even apologize. Tomorrow morning I will head to FedEx. read more

One of the nicest and the most helpful UPS store I have ever been in. The man behind the counter actually came out of the store, unasked, to help us unload a 35 pound, huge box we were mailing. I have been frequenting this UPS store since it opened. Yes, they do get busy and sometimes you may have to wait a bit. BUT everyone of the Staff are patient, kind, helpful AND apologize for any unusual wait. Sometimes a customer will come in with many items and may be confused about how to send something and needs lots of information. That takes time. But that is not normal. As much as we, the customer like to be treated with kindness, it is a two way street. With so many service oriented personnel with less than friendly attitudes, this is one place that is a joy to go to. read more

I went to have a gift delivered in February. They sent the package to the wrong address. Months of phone calls and package tag later, I got a check for less than the amount of the gift- so I lost money, ended up paying for the wrong shipping, and the gift never arrived. I tried to give them a second chance and went in to return a package to a foreign country. I was ready and willing to pay for the shipping, but the employee knew about the original package snafu and assured me that everything was taken care of. That impressed me- until the return package showed up in *my* mailbox 9 days later. Now it's too late to return it and I'm stuck with another loss. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is the friendliness of the staff. They try. But if you really need something to get somewhere- go somewhere else. read more

I needed a local mailbox and they were very accommodating in making it happen quickly. They even did follow up calls to make sure it was right. I can just imagine this type of business pulls them in 10 directions at once (and customer demands) and they (IMO) handle it very well and do their best to make it right. Although the people are friendly, I don't think they are really educated in varied shipping protocols. If you have an Amazon return or basic shipping need, it's fine. However, they have difficulty with anything international including letters which simply takes a special stamp. I think they mean well but seem bewildered by certain Transactions that the other UPS stores in the area are able to handle. On my last visit, and I mean my last visiit, I found that my entire profile was deleted including some 20 addresses including my own. After shipping with UPS for decades, now each new address will have to be entered manually all over again. read more
