Oh my goodness! This is my first time at this location as I had a package to drop off. This little area is so charming. It's in the downtown area of Lake Forest and I absolutely love it. I was taken care of immediately and the staff working here was so nice and pleasant. They close at 630pm so I know it's pretty close to closing time but the fact that I wasn't greeted by mean, grumpy, ready to leave employees made me smile big time. so sad, after years of doing business here personally and with my business I have to recommend no one go here if you want to be treated like a customer. For the first time , I was told I could not send a product back they way I actually have before, as recent as two weeks ago. To really add to it was the passive aggressive tone that I treated with. This location is convenient and easy. You can drop off UPS and USPS packages. I believe they also take pre marked FedEx as well, but don't quote me. Anything with a label you can just drop off. Check out is easy if you don't -- they keep your info in file to make the process go quicker. They'll even package things for shipping for you but be prepared to pay. We've also used their fax machine in a pinch. Yes. Some places still want a fax. (Crazy, right???) This is just a good location and service! read more

These folks are the absolute best. After dropping off a box with them for shipping, which contained a rather expensive bicycle, the owner Bear called. He said he wasn't 100% satisfied with my boxing job, and wanted to know if it was ok for them to take the bike to a local bike shop and have it re-boxed professionally, all at the UPS Store's expense. That's what I call customer service. Other retailers probably would have just let it go as-is and hoped for the best. I was in the store today making a drop off when some man, most likely a friend of a worker or previous customer, was loitering in the store. The man asked me what my tattoo said and when I politely said "Eh, don't worry about it" he proceeded to continually verbally accost me. Stating crazy weird things like "I am gonna worry about it, what does it say?" After every time I said leave it alone he continued to harass me. He must have been drunk. Even more insane than this experience was the fact that the two men (workers) behind the counter were standing there like a deer in headlights, completely dumbfounded. They never intervened. Never did they tell this guy to cool it, or back off of their customer. It was a sick display of stupidity on all fronts. The workers in this store should take a lesson on respect and so should their friend that they allowed to treat me that way. Disgusting. read more

There's a reason for all the 5 star reviews - this UPS store is incredible. The main guy, Bear, is SO focused on the logistics of shipping&freight that it almost seems as though you are shipping his personal items! I needed an antique chest (200 yrs old) and a painting (worth 20K) shippped from IL to CA and he went through all the various ways, though about it for a day or two, and then came back with the best, safest and cost-effective route. I have NEVER experienced customer service like this - he is the best!! Saved me so much money too. Just awesome all around! read more

Visiting this area from CA. Needed to return some merchandise with UPS return label to the seller. Didn't have access to a printer, cellphone misbehaving and couldn't access my email account. This place is phenomenal. Super friendly and helpful, and they go the extra mile to provide fantastic customer service. Example: walked in today looking for a box of a certain size to send an item via post office ( had a prepaid usps label). Not only did they sell the perfect sized box, but proceeded to box the item and put the label on for me and then said they would give it to their mail carrier, reminding me that it was April 15th and that I didn't want to get anywhere near the post office on that date. Some months back, I had the UPS Store ship some of my possessions to Denver. In the process, a marble coffee table top was broken. They were very apologetic and helpful in correcting the problem. I visited this store last Saturday morning to ship a defective laptop back to the company. I was out of packing tape and wasn't exactly sure how to properly package/tape the item since the company was very picky on how they wanted the packaging done. Jason was a great help.
