He looked at my large box that was packed by my boss and said, "This will cost a small fortune to ship." He then asked if he could open it, I knew it was Halloween presents for her grandchildren, so I said sure. Jim went the extra mile and repacked everything and saved me more than $120.00. Shipping point delivered 8 Quonset pizzas in two days exactly on time! Pizza is sent out Wednesday and arrived Friday at 12PM sharp via FedEx. My family and I have been Shipping Point customers for almost ten years. The thing about Shipping Point: Jim, Lauren, Nick, Stella, all the new ones- they actually care about their customers. This results not only in superlative customer service, but in good shipping practices. I recently watched- yes, watched- as the Shipping Point team prepared for shipping and transport a rather large, valuable painting. They were meticulous in measurement, packing, all the other actions. They handled the painting reverently. But the Shipping Point team will handle your Aunt Martha's crocheted afghan just as carefully, just as meticulously, as that fragile painting. I don't even bother packing my own things for shipping, anymore. Shipping Point is the best at that, and at a reasonable price. Shipping Point also does printing. I do all my business cards there. I have done posters, family portraits, booklets, calendars. They do it all. Not sure what you want printed? The Shipping Point creative staff will have you imagining great possibilities. There are private mailboxes on the premises. They vary in size. Pick-up is available 24/7 for mail, and packages in larger mailboxes. This is particularly nice in the era of the porch pirate. You know your packages will be safe and nobody will steal them. It's your best bet in Lake or Kenosha County for all your mail, shipping, or printing needs. Absolutely love this place. The people who work here are so helpful and patient. They work with you to get things packaged correctly and never make you feel like you're putting them out. I've been coming here consistently for three years and have never had a bad experience. Recently learned that they take passport photos for $9 (much cheaper than other places) and had the prints in my hand in less than five minutes (MUCH quicker than other places). Do I like going to the post office, UPS store or FedEx store? No. The employees always seem grouchy and I always feel unprepared and on the spot. And I always forget something...like bubble wrap, the box, tape, a pen, whatever... I had 2 prepaid shipping labels for UPS and FedEx items that needed to be shipped, along with my 3 year old in the car for the ride he didn't want to be on. I googled the locations of the nearest offices and they weren't close. With a displeased toddler in tow, I searched for UPS shipping locations again and saw the Shipping Point. I took a chance, assuming I'd have to pay an arm and a leg for a box and supplies. When we walked in we were greeted with the friendliest hello. I explained what I needed while my kid found their kid's nook. To my surprise, for the gentleman to pack my items correctly (I'd fail at this, I'm sure), cost an additional $1.25. What a deal. Aside from their overuse of the papyrus font throughout the store, this place is great and it's where I'll go to ship almost everything going forward. read more

I cannot say enough great things about the Shipping Point- I manage a business up the road, and we use them for all kinds of things. Their customer service is above and beyond- they regularly go WAY out of their way to help us out. They even send an employee here daily to pick up all outgoing mail so we don't have to drop it off ourselves! Even MORE impressive is the extra services they have added, to print photos, banners, etc. They have been a LIFE SAVER on many occasions when we've needed a ton of flyers or a sign at the last minute. They even worked tirelessly on a huge project we did for an Arts Festival at the local high school, a four foot tall "American Gothic" with the faces cut out so students could take pictures in it. It was a super huge task, they cut and mounted multiple pieces of cardboard together to create a TRUE work of ART- it was so impressive, there was a picture of it in the local paper detailing the event! They need to improve customer service communication and Management needs to recognize better conflict resolution when one of their front desk representatives is out of line. The front desk person I dealt with today needs to be fired for speaking to me the way he did, or at least reprimanded and taught to respect long-time good customers that spend a lot of money in your store and trust your services with our valuables. Jim, when a customer gives you the opportunity to correct a bad situation your employee caused, don't waste their valuable time trying to educate the loyal customer on why your competitor is charging less and placing blame back on the customer by saying that you both have a problem. Absolutely terrible! I walked into your store today for what should have been a 3- 5 minute transaction expecting the same easy, professional service I've received before by other staff. This person you presented today has an attitude problem. There are other options in our area for shipping services. And they are very appreciative of the business we give them. You should have offered a solution to the problem instead of standing your ground for a $.50 one page black and white print out.
