Customer service is terrible here. I had a question for Avery who was working the front desk and I was rudely told they weren't ready to help us. While side of desk duties like cutting paper may be on your list of tasks as an employee, it should be standard practice to take a second and address customers waiting in line and inform them that you'll be with them in one second or that you need a moment instead of saying "I'm not ready to help you guys." And ending the interaction there. Avery desperately needs some training and guidance on how to interact with customers. read more

Be prepared to be charged $3 to print a UPS shipping label. If you bring your own label, they will probably charge you $1 for the tape and even more for having to do any work. My advice, go elsewhere. read more

Zero stars if I could for this location for service, quality, professionalism and value. I've been dropping off packages at this location for a year. They have remodeled - maybe new owners? I don't recognize any of the staff. They have always enveloped for free including return envelope. Today they tried to up-sell me - out of principle more than cost I went back to my office to get my own envelopes. When I returned the employee took apart my paper clipped paperwork (confidential material!!) I said what are you doing!? As I took it out of his hands. He said they can't send 2nd day air with a regular envelope. NO MENTION of this on my first trip in today - only upon my second time with my own envelopes. I grabbed my paperwork and said I will permanently take my business elsewhere. I do NOT recommend this location!!! read more

The employees at this particular location seem like NPCs and unmotivated to assist customers. Makes you want to go to FedEx instead which is saying a lot since all shippers just give you a massive migraine. The drivers are friendly though for both UPS and FedEx! What is it with this location? They are the most unruly, rude and unfriendly staff, and are continuously restaffed, almost every time I'm there. It isn't really anything specific, but an overall attitude as though the very reason that you're there is bothering them. I got harshly corrected last time for not using the UPS scan booth instead of taking it up to them to give me a receipt by hand. The machine wasn't working and giving an error message. Me telling her this seemed to completely derail the self ordained vehicle of disgust she had strapped herself to, as she rolled her eyes around and gave me a receipt without saying anything further, including a goodbye. Even if it was working, the way they just let customers dump their valuable packages outside among members of the public is not a great idea or place to have such a method of speeding up a line. Not only a matter of general crime prevention, but lets face it, this is the equivalent of the self checkout at the supermarket that will one day take your job from you. With that in mind, Wouldn't you prefer I ask you to do it? It's not like you'll be employed there the next time I go in, but for what it's worth, I'm truly just so sorry this job is wasting your precious time, but it's paying you money. Just please try to pretend you give a single, individual ounce, and understand that you chose to be there. Managers or corporate... I can see this is an uphill struggle to get long term employees for such a grinding job, and you do have my sympathy, but surely... There has to be a way to do better than this. It's a self perpetuating fail otherwise, and the attitude of existing staff infects the new employees. It's such a quiet little place. EVERYONE that works here is AWESOME! I frequent this location with my standard Amazon returns. They are always patient and ready to help even in the midst of the Christmas flurries. It was finally time I actually needed to ship a personal item (rare), and I knew exactly where to go. I worked with Jessie, so so helpful, super timely and through with getting me the best and fastest plan with my budget; to get my care packages out (one in a soft amazon bag, one in a teal diaper box). Everything was smooth, but at the day of delivery only the amazon bag made it. A week went by then another so I went to the UPS, talked with Jessie, again so helpful to see what transpired and noted where the package was in its journey to California. It had stopped at the PS airport. He called down, and put a tag on it (or whatever they do), and the hunt began. Now note, this is all out of UPS Kirkland 124th control, once a package leaves the facility, there job is done. He could have said OH, it will get there, OH just wait they will get it there, etc etc. But he didn't he showed care and concern and put extra effort in to support the case. A few more weeks went by then I went back, this time talked to John the Store Owner and Manager. He was calm, collected, supportive. He helped me file a case for a lost package as this was now confirmed to be a misplaced box. He had me write all all the things I could remember in the package (which was so many little odds and ends, but I did the best I could!). He told me the more specific I was the more chance of them finding it as if the box had busted they could piece together all the items at the recovery warehouse. He was confident it would show up but could not promise -- he did share HOPE! Lucky me I did put a $400 insurance plan on the box (which was maybe a third the cost of the items in the box, but you never expect them to get lost!) I didn't know that John spent added hours to research the items I listed to tally up the $400 for if I was to go that route I would get reimbursed for the items/amount paid. Well, I didn't want to go that route, I wanted all my items back.... SO the hunt continued. I made a stop in over the next few weeks, John assured me they would look for it and was still kind, understanding and patient. At 2.5 months later I got an EPIC text from John, He said your PACKAGE WAS SHIPPED BACK HERE, sent a picture, and noted he wanted to let me know right away! The silly ol' Diaper box with loads of personal items made its way back home. I owe it all to the diligence of the team at UPS 124th st. When I arrived there was so much joy to return the package - Everyone cared, everyone was invested, and everyone was so happy the package was FOUND and returned. They are my neighborhood go to for anything shipping, print and beyond -- and I will continue to use their services! YES, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Very ridiculous rules in this store. I tried to drop off a prepaid package to save both time , but it is not allowed. The staff there said I have to wait in a line there. I asked if I could drop the package to the counter without the receipts. The answer is no. The staff said there are many people waiting in the line to do the same thing as you, so you have to join the line. Interesting! If the store allow people to drop off prepaid packages directly without speaking to people , there is no the long waiting line! read more

John (who claims to be the owner of this establishment) was extremely rude and was charging me hidden fees for things and then when I asked him to explain what the fees were for he couldn't seem to do that. I knew he was making up charges so I grabbed all my items and took them to the ups store off market street instead and surprise surprise for the EXACT SAME PACKAGE I WAS CHARGED $12 less for shipping! I was able to ship two packages here for the price he was going to charge me for one! John is a shady business owner. 2 stars only because the workers (both ladies working the front) there seemed to be extremely annoyed when I arrived to the office I don't know if I had caused it or it was someone else or they were just in a bad mood but they definitely made my transaction more difficult then it needed to be. Yes my package was sent but the lead up to it was actually uncomfortable. One girl with the ring necklace absolute no help, the other girl with the curly short black hair seemed to not even want to be there. It is important to me to have a good reliable UPS store for my Amazon returns. This store on 124th in Kirkland met all my needs. The employee who helped me was amazing he bent over backwards when my phone wasn't doing what it should to bring up the information that it needed. He took his time which was so valuable because there was a long line. I got my Amazon return finished only because of him and the grace of this store. I highly recommend this store. I would like to add I went to this store after being lied to at The UPS store in Woodinville. In the same shopping center as home goods and Chan's. They said they did not have wifi. They say they have a notary but only until 4 pm. I figured that out *after* I checked their website, and my wife and both left work early and got to the location. Got a hard eye roll and was told most people call to find out when their notary is open, so it sounds like they've never heard of the internet before. Go elsewhere. read more

As I'm standing in line waiting behind a lady without any return labels, I asked the employee if it was possible that the unprepared lady could step aside while she gathers what she needs, and I could get my drop off/return taken care off as they were ready to scan and drop off. I got told to "hush my mouth" by the employee. After researching the owner, John Leaty, it was definitely him but he tells people his name is Jeffrey and has for years. We ordered some laminated posters for our cat that went missing and the manager was extremely sympathetic for our loss and did a great job on the printing we needed and had it done super fast. When I went in to pick them up later that day, Jeff rang me up and was again super sympathetic and extremely kind and helpful. Today I witnessed appalling behavior by the employees at this UPS store. A very clearly disabled person was attempting to send some sort of package (large envelope). This person was both mentally and physically disabled. A caregiver was attempting to help with the transaction. The UPS employee requested identification. The disabled person didn't bring any. After deliberations, the caregiver stated she had never heard of this before and had brought many items in the past and was never asked for identification. The employee made a scene and started bullying the caregiver and disabled person making statements like " oh you are trying to tell me what my job is. I work here. I know the rules. Do you work here? No. No you don't!" And then polled the rest of the employees continuing with the harassment and humiliation. The caregiver requested a manager. Another employee who seemed to be enjoying the tactics used by her coworker came over with a business card and said the manager wasn't there and that they wouldn't be helping them. They would need to go elsewhere. The original employee said, "but first I need to charge you for this envelope since you wrote on it." When they left, the employee continued his rant about "some customer isn't going to tell me how my job is done." Only one of the employees slightly stood up and told him how he could have provided a solution by changing how the package was written up. This team needs to take courses in grace, empathy, problem solving and service. There is a kind way to address these situations. It felt like this employee enjoyed insulting the disabled person and his caregiver. I can't support treating people badly and therefore will not patronize this store any more. This place is not good. I came here to fax a release of medical records. It is $2.99 for the sheet, then $1.99 per sheet afterwards. Really? That much to send a simple fax? To make a bad situation worse the lady charged me $2.99 per fax (I did 4) because she did them separately. I paid nearly $15 to fax a few sheets. Ridiculous! Also, printing costs a lot too. They charge way to much to do a simple print or even use the computer. I highly advise whoever is reading this to avoid this store at all costs. read more

A young lady with black hair helped me return a couple packages and the transaction was very quick. Her attitude was the problem, however. I'm older and not a fan of smartphones, so I was sure to have the QR code enlarged as big as I could and ready to scan when I approached the counter. She attempted to scan and asked me to please turn up the brightness. Me, not being comfortable with this "wonderful" technology, asked her to try again and said "you're going to just have to scan the big one today." It worked and the whole delay was about 5 seconds. While this was happening, she shook her head in disapproval, scowled, and made a "pssh" sound with her lips. Totally rude and uncalled for. read more

RUDE EMPLOYEES. Never go to them for notary service. Worst experience ever. They will tell you $10 each and once you arrive there, they will have their ways to get more from you. They charged $12-15 from me per stamp which they claimed as $10 on phone. Another thing is they don't have proper notary person so any employee will notarize your document with that one stamp which is ILLEGAL. My documents were not accepeted which i got notarized from them. NEVER GO TO UPS KIRKLAND FOR NOTARY SERVICES INSTEAD GET BETTER OPTIONS AT PONY EXPRESS OR BANK OF AMERICA. read more

I've come into this UPS quite a bit in the past few months. Most of the employees have been helpful, quick and make things easy. However, on numerous occasions, I've been surprised by an employee's consistent negative attitude- Reiko. Today was no exception. I came in to get a form notarized (my first time needing to) and ship a few packages. The employee who helped label the packages was great, and then asked me to wait for Reiko to notarize my form. Reiko irritatedly completed it, though it only took about 2 minutes. Then she informed me I owed $10 for the service. I mentioned that I was surprised about the cost and that I thought I would have been informed about a $10 charge before completing the service. She was pretty snarky and replied that they're not a bank and I pulled her away from her job in order for her to to do this and her service costs money. I expected that if there was a cost, they would let me know ahead of time as they do prior to completing any shipping services. Then I would have been able to choose to go to a bank and get it notarized for free. (Or at the very least- that she's not rude about it) By the looks on the other customers faces, they thought it was pretty rude too... Bummer because I think she changes the vibe of the store and makes it a place that is awkward to go into. read more
