We were expecting an important package so we waited - delivery time 10am - well that turned into 4pm then - I did a tracking and driver lied he made attempt to deliver & it never happened my camera never showed anyone at the door- we were like hawks waiting- I tried to change delivery so we could pick up and it requested the number the driver leaves at your door that never happened- we stayed on the phone with customer service to be left on hold for exactly 57 mins the call hung up - horrible experience- Supposedly our package will be delivered tomorrow at 8 am spv. I live in a community with the same address but multiple apartment numbers. One person in the community got into a confrontation with a driver. Now they have a note in their system telling drivers to not deliver to the community. They return the packages to the sender sighting various reasons why the package is being returned but they are all false. One sighted weather, another was an accident, no one to receive the package and so on. I have reached out to customer care, and I have tried reaching out to the Sweetwater location and no one is helping me. I am now contacting Amazon and anyone sending me packages to avoid using UPS when all they have to do is update their driver notes. read more

Getting them to claim responsibility was like pulling teeth and I had to come out another $500 for my order to reship and I don't even trust it to make it to their facility again. I am so angry! Yes, my beloved phone was stolen Memorial Day Weekend 2010 in NYC . I was devastated due to my great attachment to that little device. Since I knew I would have to pay full price for the $500+ phone, I just ordered a blackberry from T-Mobile. They sent it via UPS. Most Carriers usually leave packages at my door, but T-Mobile required a signature! So, when UPS came by and I happened to be at work they just left me a little love note and went on their merry way. I called the number on the note and asked if I could pick up the package since it was Friday and I was going out of town Saturday. They said I could go to this location to pick it up after 7. He also told me that they close at 8, so pretty much hurry up. I got there at 7:35 and waited in line for my package. I waited and waited and waited. There were only two women working the counter and with about 50 people on that line the wait was crazy. Once I finally got to the front of the line, at about 8:45, my package was given to me and I got out of there running. Not the worse service ever, but they do need a better system. If you need to go pick up a package I would recommend: 1- wear comfortable shoes 2-don't have any "plans" for the next hour 3-be patient 4-take a book or something to read 5- if it's hot wear something comfortable because part of the way is outdoors I am just glad I got my package before the weekend started!! read more

Well, after reading other posts about UPS, there's not much to add. The complaints are relative to mine. Frankly I don't understand how they're still in business. Personally I cringe every time I order and see it's being delivered by UPS. My thoughts are, am I gonna get my order the day it says, which by the way NEVER happens, and what shenanigans will be displayed this time. I'm not talking about every now and then, It's EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I just don't know what to do, but I do know I've had my fill. I shipped a package 12/15/21 and paid for two day delivery via UPS, I was told it was leaving that night and would arrive at the intended delivery location by the end of day 12/17/21, and that was a lie. It is now 12/20/21 at 9:07 PM and my package is still not delivered, I've contacted UPS multiple times inquiring about the status and whereabouts of my package and they refuse to provide me with any helpful information. The way I've been treated and given the runaround by the CS Agents and supervisors is absurd. My package tracking number said my package was in Colorado for 2 days and no one knew where it was at exactly or when it would get to Houston, they told me they don't scan packages on the weekends and they can't help me. My package is now in Houston and said it would be delivered yesterday and it wasn't, then today and it's still not delivered. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this company and it seems like this only happens when I'm using UPS, I never have these issues with any other delivery service. After my package failed to deliver 12/20/21 I PAID for them to hold it at the facility so I could pick it up the next day. 12/21/21 I arrive at the facility at 8 AM to get my package and they tell me they don't know where it's at, I received a notification at 10:34 saying the package was damaged/missing and the envelope has been discarded. UPS = The Bane of My Existence There are worse delivery companies...trust me, Amazon is able to seek them out and find them. Otherwise, this would be a 1-star review. The UPS issues are more common than not, and if I have any say in the matter I won't use them. Typically there's a disconnect with the national call center and the local center, so what one tells you doesn't correspond necessarily to reality. Add to that the fact that "package tracking" is a bit of a misnomer. I've been able to glean from conversations that the tracking done on the website sometimes involves a "physical" scan but more often an assumption that the package made it onto the plane or truck. This is the location of the warehouse, where you will need to drive to in order to get a package that you can't get delivered to your home. There is typically a line, and it's not a terribly convenient location for just about anyone in Houston. I'm so not looking forward to a visit there today for yet another botched delivery. If I could give this location a zero I would. I got here at 9:30 am so I could pick up my package ASAP. They are supposed to open at 10. They finally open the gate to let cars in at 10:10 and they have only one worker there. Hours are 10-1pm. I gave her my package info. She goes to the back and says that my package is in the warehouse because it's not back there. Then another person comes out and then she says its in the back and a girl is back there looking for it because it is here. So at 10:22 I'm still waiting because a worker had to leave this location to go get my package from the warehouse next door. The guy behind me asked for his package and they told him that his package wasn't here and he drove an hour to get here for his package and it's not here because the driver forgot to take it off the truck. I often see people make a comment about how they wish they could give a place no stars and wondered "wow, how bad could it be?" Well today I found out. This UPS service center is the worst! I had a package coming that required a signature. I signed up for the my choice program so I could have some control of my delivery times. What a joke! I took off work during when my package was to arrive only to pass the UPS truck leaving my neighborhood as I entered it. I called the customer service number and even after to begging to speak to a manager was simply told their was nothing they could do. I then changed my delivery option to will call so that I could pick it up instead of taking off work again. I arrived on Saturday to the UPS service and after an hour wait and two people looking, my package could not be found. I was just told come back on Tuesday, I'm sure it will show up. She went so far out of her way to locate a missing package for us (of extraordinary personal value) that her efforts could not go unrecorded. This world is full of people who aren't paid enough to care. Service is a dying art. Miss Becky had no reason to treat us so well, to go the extra mile -- literally staying beyond her working hours so that we could pick up our package, personally phoning us to update us on her efforts and progress -- and yet, she did. This location is great if you are dropping off packages. However, they are very unhelpful when it comes to claims. I've been waiting on a package since 6/6/20. When I went to claim my package, the employees here said my package was "lost" even though UPS customer service said it was here. They won't even let you get a word out before getting defensive. So disappointed, just picked up a package that I had held at this customer service center because I was in the process of moving and figured it would be easier and gave me a peace of mind it would be safe from holiday package thieves. Very nice lady at the desk helping me goes and retrieves my package, the box looked as it had a rough trip. The box was retapped with clear box packing tape which I assumed was holding the box together do to the damage it sustained. Headed home, as I'm opening the box I notice the top had the original box tape used by the shipping company was still intact. I needed to wrap the cologne I ordered because it's a gift for later on in this evening for my husbands birthday. To my surprise the packing slip which lists all the content that was in the box, the free gift for buying the cologne and complementary sample products are in the box but no cologne. Then I notice as I pull all the packing material out of the box that the bottom of the box had been opened and retapped. In disbelief that an issue like this would even happen. read more

We just moved from Atlanta before that we lived in Boston and before that Seattle. I am just absolutely shocked how horrible UPS is here vs anywhere else. I have notified Amazon and other online retailers that I refuse to use them as long as they ship via UPS. They have claimed packages were delivered when they were not, most boxes that come from them are absolutely destroyed. I called UPS filed several complaints about damaged packages and why it is literally so bad here verses other places I lived. She told me that a supervisor would call me within the hour. First sign says M-F 8 am to 7 pm. It was 8:10 before they opened with a long line behind me. I got there at 7:30, so I would be first. This company has the worst customer service of any corporation I've ever dealt with . I have seven packages that are floating around somewhere in Houston and have not been delivered in nine days. I get an email saying it's on the truck for delivery,then I get an email at 9 PM saying it's not being delivered it's being rescheduled for the next day. I get an email saying it's on the truck ready to go out for delivery, 9 o'clock at night I get another email saying it's been rescheduled. This has been going on for 7 BUSINESS days. My customers are cancelling orders because it's been over a week for me to deliver. This is my only income and they are costing me money. I have called the 800 number and they keep telling me a supervisor from the Sweetwater customer service will call me..NOT! As a matter of fact they now tell me that customer service hasn't even opened up their first email yet (3 have been sent over several days) My company uses UPS for all our reps across the USA, i'm going to make it my life goal that this contract goes to FedEx! I paid a lot of money for air overnight shipping, and it has been 5 days now with out any package and staying home from work to sign for the package. Now I am being told to drive 45 minutes away from my home to pick up the package. I asked if they can send it to my local ups store, but said I would have to call another number and pay an additional fee. The level up rudeness and incompetency is outstanding. I recently moved to the Houston area, I ordered a bookcase, Got an e-mail from UPS saying delivery by end of day. It never came. At 10:53 PM, got an e-mail from UPS saying delivery was rescheduled for next day by end of day. It never came. Next morning I went into UPS tracking to see what the status was. Tracking said it was being returned to sender because "The receiver does not want the package and refused the delivery." There were three of us at home all day both days. According to ian now the package is in Huntsville ready pickup. ..only problem is we live in houston. It as so apparent he didnt care even the tmobile guy had to stress customer service to him. So finally they find the package and tell us we have until 7pm to pick it up in houston So we get in the car ready to go and a ups guy passes with a small box so we stop him and he has the Phone that causes all the trouble.....relieved to get the package but. ... the box is smashed open, and the phone inside was cracked ..... after all that drama I don't even want the phone any more.....thanks UPS we really understand in the holiday season you hire anyone wo will agree to treat you Customers like crap and damage their products! !! read more

Deserves negative 5 stars. First there was no delivery made to my apartment complex. I said fine I'll pick it up no big deal. I set out to pick up the package on Friday and I was called and told that my package had to be picked up tomorrow because the truck broke down and it would be hours after they close when the truck would come back. So I said okay. I come down to this service center in the morning, and I'm told that the package is still on truck or something like that and I'm asked to wait a few minutes it's been 20. I've heard another lady has been here for an hour. It's ridiculous. They are lazy and don't really do their jobs efficiently. It's very frustrating, avoid this place, avoid UPS. read more

I missed a package delivery, called the 800 number on the back of the notice and the agent said my package would be held the next day and that I could pick it up by 8a. I went to the UPS Customer Center the next day on Sweetwater street in Houston TX at 2p and asked for my package. They said the driver still had it on his truck and to come back that night. I called before Driving over there and the lady said he will be here at 8:15p at night. I went back at 8p now I was told the driver is working late and that they are closing. Then I called to register a complaint to the 1-800-833-9943. Which probably won't get anywhere. Don't waste your time with UPS. They have major communication issues.
