As I biked to my fav UPS store with the eBay package I was returning, because it...nevermind! I saw the bike rack and wheeled around to lock up my two-wheeled steed. A short walk to the storefront, and before I could say "boo", one of the workers raised his hand to motion me towards the back of the store for no-waiting service! Bingo!! Just what I wanted in this pre-Christmas mailout season! I had my package all boxed up, so all it needed was a label to whisk away to Illinois. The man who attended me asked for my info, I explained what was in the box, he made a sincere comment about the spelling of my name, and the transaction lasted maybe 4 1/2 minutes. I was done and on my way, as I left, I had to dodge people that were trying to form a line and kept the door open for a UPS worker that was delivering packages, then another person walked in, and another, and another. I felt great! I had no waiting, but within 5 minutes the line was 8-9 persons deep! You get great service either way. You never know if there will be a line; you just gotta know that they are working as fast and as politely as possible! read more

This UPS Store and even UPS itself has proven useless. I have an item that a relative is supposed to bring to this UPS Store and ship up N to me. I got a price from the website of $30 shipping via ground. Since it has to be packaged, I reached out to the store for the cost. My info from the website should have been sent over to them. They wanted all that info again, which I gave them, with dimensions, zip to ship to, etc. Heard nothing. Sent an inquiry again, nothing. Sent another one, nothing. Wrote to USP main noting this to them. It was slow going with them too. I did note that this item had been in our family for about 110 years. When they heard that, that was their end of their corresponding, as they said that since it was irreplaceable, they wouldn't ship it. My last correspondence was that it was worth about $200 and if it wasn't going to be sent up to me, it was going to be given away - so much for being irreplaceable, priceless, etc. And there is such a thing as insurance.... Anyway, both that local UPS Store and UPS itself is useless. These people need to be replaced with those that can think as well as understand what their business is and to ship for others, rather than make irrational judgements and decisions for their customers. I have shipped items via UPS previously valued at $25,000 - museum pieces, and had no problems. We need more people who will literally do their job and understand that they are in the business to ship. read more

It's an easy place to do returns, they are efficient and friendly. Easy parking. My only complaint is it is a bit expensive to print a label there. read more

If the company you are sending a return to has sent you a label and you printed it out, then you do not have to rely on the staff to assist or answer questions. Otherwise, eh no. I will find a suitable alternative for a place that offers customer service that is more than just breathing air. read more

I visited this location to mail a package and make a copy of my ID the gentleman (I believe his name was Derrick) was still being trained and was very helpful in answering my questions. He continued to greet other customers as he helped me box up my items! Great service at this location. read more

I was very disappointed and sadden by the treatment I received here. I have done business with UPS store across town with never any problems. However, I was on this side of town so I gave this store a try. Not only did I receive service that was less the friendly but they lost a very valuable package. When I call to inquire about it they brush me off by telling me they don't have time to speak. They refuse to return my call or messages and when I go in person they tell me they will call me with the information I request but never do. I am saddened by this kind of treatment and am very upset that they lost important valuable documents and refuse to talk about reimbursement or even looking for the package. I would highly recommend you avoid sending anything viable via this store. They are very unprofessional. read more

My experience as a regular customer at the store has become inconsistent over the last 18 months or so, when it seemed to have a change in management. The long-term staff are wonderful but sometimes the other staff do not seem as willing to offer solutions and find help and offer information as easily... I went to the Gator football game and spent the night in a Gainesville hotel. Unfortunately, when I checked out and left for home, I left my IPad Pro at the hotel and didn't discover it until I got home. After exhausting my options of having the hotel send me the iPad, I called The UPS Store on 13th St in Gainesville and was greeted by Jay. I asked him if they could pick up my IPad from the hotel and send it to me. He immediately said that they could send someone to retrieve it and of course they could send it to me. When they had it in their possession, Jay called me and we decided on all the particulars of how Fast I needed it and insurance issues, etc. I later found out that the person helping me was the owner. He went above and beyond what most people would have done to ensure I received my IPad back safe and sound. This store is well run and oriented toward customer service. By the way the cost to pick up my tablet and ship it to me was not much more than the cost of gas to make the 85 mile round trip to retrieve it, with a great deal less effort. Thanks Jay! read more

This is the WORST store in Gainesville. I was a fmr owner of a Business box their last year and decided to close the box. UPS subsequently issued it to a customer named Steve ? Unfortunately, 2 different packages were shipped to that location and they gave them to the new box holder. Despite the fact that his name/business wasn't on the package. Jerry (mgr) called the customer about the package and stated he threw it ALL away. Jerry never took any responsibility regarding the incidents and blamed the shipper. These items were expensive and a part of MY business and he didn't care. NEVER USE THIS LOCATION you might not get your packages. read more
