If you're busy, better look elsewhere. Nice people, but not business savvy. Mediocre job, but…read morethey're cheap, nearby and quick. They only take cash or checks, no cards. The owner called me saying that my check had bounced and "collections" (??? language barrier). After 2 hrs calling the bank and checking statements, the check was cashed with money deposited into their account from mine 3 days earlier. They should have called their bank prior to calling their customer. They were courteous, but they blamed other employees for the mistake, sent a text apology (no phone call if you don't owe money) and offered no compensation in any way. I'm a grad student. If you're busy, go elsewhere.

This is not only the nicest, newest and cleanest laundromat in Gainesville…read more It's the best I have seen in my life! There is so much to unpack, that I might need two reviews! I guess just making a list is easiest! 1. It's very clean and spacious 2. It is only $2.75 to wash 3. The dryers and washers come in different sizes...from normal to ginormous! 4. There are snacks and drinks 5. There are reading spaces for children and THE CHILDREN'S BOOKS ARE FREE!! 6. All the equipment is new 7. You operate the machines with a mag strip card and to get one has easy steps 8. People doing their laundry are happy and friendly 9. You can press two buttons on the dryer and it shows the temperature! 10. The staff cleans and wipes the washers and dryers so the entire place always stays clean. 11. There is more....come and see!!

Probably so, but those are highlights for me. I looked at a few different ones when I knew I'd have to go and ultimately decided on this one even though it was on the other side of town. It looked like it'd be worth the drive and it was. Google Maps said it was at the busiest it normally gets when I went but it wasn't busy at all and this was around noon. Based on my experience, I don't have anything bad to say. I did self service which was easy to figure out from getting a card and loading money on to it to working the machines. There is also an option for drop off but I didn't inquire so unsure of the price per pound. I stayed on one side of the building so I saw three different sizes of washers and 3 different for dryers. There of course is free wifi and the cafe was a nice touch. I ordered a 24oz passion fruit, guava, and orange smoothie which was pretty good all things considered. When encountering staff, they were pleasant! There was also plenty of parking. Again, nothing bad to say and I highly recommend!

WEDDING DRESS CLEANING/PRESERVATION…read more Don't let these other reviews fool you, this place is amazing and I can't recommend it enough! I took my wedding dress there to be cleaned And steamed before my wedding and Stephen was patient and attentive. He even got it cleaned in a short amount of time to be ready for my wedding. After, I of course brought it back to him to be cleaned again and preserved/boxed. He even had me come back in after the cleaning and before the boxing so I could inspect the whole train. He even offered to include invitations or my veil in the preservation box too! Don't let the shop's "hole in the wall" atmosphere deter you! Stephen is amazing with his attention to detail and patience with a crazy bride! Highly, highly recommend!!

The only reason I gave 1 star is you can't give 0…read more I went here to get a blouse dry cleaned and they destroyed it. Not only was the blouse ruined, they did not tell me about it and instead hid it in between the other garments I had dry cleaned and took my payment. When I got home and took everything out of the bag I saw the ruined top. I went back asking for a refund and instead was given a 15 minute lecture on why they should not have to give me one. I understand they did not mean to destroy the top, but the fact that they hid it and let me pay for it is unacceptable. They ended up giving me a "complementary" suit cleaning. I figured I would give them one more shot and brought in a suit. The complementary cleaning was only $20 and I was charged $5 on top of that. When I came to pick up the suit, it had stains on it that were not there when I brought it in. I took the suit to another dry cleaner to fix their mistake. DO NOT GO HERE

I wish I had taken a before picture…read more This small shop is located right between the Kangaroo gas station and mini mart on 16th street. If you are heading west, it is right before Main Street and if you are heading east, it is right after Main Street. The shop is run by Ms. DeLoris - or Ms. D - who has been a seamstress for 20+ years. As the only one running the shop, I recommend coming in with some degree of patience if there is a line. She will take the time to help multiple clients at once, but with her recent hip surgery, it might take some time, BUT it is WELL worth the wait. Purely on a whim -and honestly out of desperation- I went in on a Tuesday with three suit jackets that needed to be tailored before a major business conference the following Wednesday. She sent me to the back of the store where there are 2 (possibly 3) dressing rooms and mirror. She fitted the jackets to me as we talked clothing in general and she told me she would have them ready by the Tuesday. Now, I can't lie. I was a little worried. Ms. D is a sweetheart, but as the sole seamstress with a high demand based on her shop, I wasn't sure if she would meet the deadline in time. HOWEVER, the following Tuesday came around and I called the number on the business card provided to check on the three jackets. Ms. D told me that they would be ready by 8:00 pm, and if earlier, she'd give me a call. At 7:00pm, I got the call and came in to pick them up. My jackets were PERFECT. I honestly almost cried considering the horror stories out there about bad alterations. I cannot say enough about how nice of a job she did and how the jacket fit in comparison to before. It was the confidence boost needed to nail an interview with a company at the conference. A $90 well spent ($30 per suit jacket)! The only caveat to this shop is that it is only open for walk in drop-offs/consultations from I believe 4:00pm - 6:30pm. HOWEVER, if needed, a simple phone call is enough to let her know if you need to come earlier or later. She worked with me after hours as a first time client and I am sure, with kindness and patience, she would do the same for anyone else.
