The owner called me saying that my check had bounced and "collections" (??? language barrier). After 2 hrs calling the bank and checking statements, the check was cashed with money deposited into their account from mine 3 days earlier. They were courteous, but they blamed other employees for the mistake, sent a text apology (no phone call if you don't owe money) and offered no compensation in any way. I'm a grad student.
