While I haven't been to many laundromats in my life, I've been to a few and this one is up there at…read morethe top of the list. Could that be because it's on higher end and has a cafe? Probably so, but those are highlights for me. I looked at a few different ones when I knew I'd have to go and ultimately decided on this one even though it was on the other side of town. It looked like it'd be worth the drive and it was. Google Maps said it was at the busiest it normally gets when I went but it wasn't busy at all and this was around noon. Based on my experience, I don't have anything bad to say. I did self service which was easy to figure out from getting a card and loading money on to it to working the machines. There is also an option for drop off but I didn't inquire so unsure of the price per pound. I stayed on one side of the building so I saw three different sizes of washers and 3 different for dryers. There of course is free wifi and the cafe was a nice touch. I ordered a 24oz passion fruit, guava, and orange smoothie which was pretty good all things considered. When encountering staff, they were pleasant! There was also plenty of parking. Again, nothing bad to say and I highly recommend!

They ruined one of my items by washing instead of dry cleaning as proven by the attached tag and fact that 100% wool pants had shrunk. The owner denied the evidence and refused to reimburse me for the cost of the pants. He said his business is not bonded, so he does not have insurance to cover these errors and costs. Took 2 dresses and my husbands dress shirt for a wedding to get dry cleaned at Rips on Tower Rd. When I returned to pick them up I first noticed a brown streak on my husbands shirt, then the clerk brought the other 2 dresses up and the long dress was bent over on the hanger like a pair of pants.(see pic attached) I asked her is this how they normally hang long dresses and she said not always. I took the dress off the hanger and immediately knew why they had folded it, to hide the stains on it, after reviewing the 3rd dress, it had the same stain on it. I said I want a refund and I'll take these somewhere else in hopes they can get the stains off. I asked to speak to the owner or a manager, the clerk called the manager Laney and she said that she would not give me a refund but I could bring them to main st for her to look at. I told her that I did not have time to run across town that I just wanted my $41 refund and she told me to shut up that she was talking, I told her that I was a customer and you should never speak to a customer like that and her response was I can care less. I asked to have the owner call me but he never did. Someone that knows the Owner John Jennings gave me his cell phone and I sent him a very nice text and he never responded. That shows to me that he doesn't care about his customers only the money. I took these 3 garments to another cleaner down the road and they said it looks like they either washed them with the wrong product or the steamer caused the stains. Do not take your clothes to Rips Cleaners on Tower Rd or Main St. Poor Customer Service. They will ruin your clothes.

The owner called me saying that my check had bounced and "collections" (??? language barrier). After 2 hrs calling the bank and checking statements, the check was cashed with money deposited into their account from mine 3 days earlier. They should have called their bank prior to calling their customer. They were courteous, but they blamed other employees for the mistake, sent a text apology (no phone call if you don't owe money) and offered no compensation in any way. I'm a grad student. If you're busy, go elsewhere.
