While I was waiting, an employee came in visibly upset, yelling about a smell and saying she could not work under those conditions. She then yelled at customers to move out of the doorway. Shortly afterward, a customer called about a repair. I overheard the employee apologize and tell the customer to bring the item in and that they would make it right. When it was my turn, I was handed my pants. As I looked them over, I noticed a cut in the pants that had not been there before. I asked Lilly about it, and she told me that I had never shown them the damage, so it had not been repaired. I explained that the damage was not there when I brought the pants in. Lilly then went to speak with the seamstress, who stated that she had seen the cut but did not repair it because it had not been requested. I explained that I did not request that part to be repaired because there was no damage there when I dropped the pants off. After discussing the situation for a couple of minutes, Lilly told me, "Call a lawyer." I was shocked by her response. I was not asking for anything unreasonable; I simply wanted the same courtesy and customer service that had just been extended to the customer on the phone. I have been a loyal customer for more than 20 years and drive approximately 45 minutes to use this business. I have always trusted them with my clothing, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I left without being offered any reasonable solution or even the courtesy I would have expected from a business I had supported for so many years. After leaving, I contacted family and friends who also use this business and told them about my experience. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in the business, and I will no longer be giving them my business. After more than 20 years of loyalty, I expected much better treatment.

I called all over town. Half way through the cold call list I told one of the cleaners I called the story and she told me that it's an impossible feat that I signed up for--I'm paraphrasing. She said that no one is going to be able to do alterations for me today but I didn't give up. Low and behold I ran across this long name and I called, no answer, so I left a message. About an hour later Li called me back and she agreed to do the alterations. My friend was very happy with the alterations Li made to her evening gown and the fulfillment of our impromptu request. It's located on 34th street in the plaza with Winn Dixie, so it's not too far from campus or 35th street. It's ran by an Asian woman who is very nice and I can tell she has been sewing for years. I needed one of my boyfriend's pants hemmed tighter around the thigh and calf area without cutting any material. She has you try on the clothing in one of the dressing rooms in the shop and then stand in front of the mirror so that your clothing can be pinned. She gave me her opinions on what should be hemmed and how the pants should fit, which was helpful! I also needed the pants done in 2 days time (which is considered a rush job) and she said she would have it done with no extra charge! I know other places would have charged an arm and a leg, so that was awesome! I've also had her sew the straps on my dress tighter and she did that for $15 in two days! The reason I am giving this place only 4 stars is because there are no set prices or a price list to look at. You have to physically bring in the clothes so she can tell you a price - which is fine, but I would at least like to see an estimated price list so I know how much it will cost me and if her final price is way off than what it should be.
