Let me start by saying the staff at this location are very pleasant and do a good job; if you have a prepaid label (like for a return) you'll have a decent experience if you drop off your packages there. But oh my gosh. I'm writing this review to warn people not to PAY to send any packages from here. EVER. I had a small/light box to send to New Jersey, and I estimated it should have cost about $15 -- and later I confirmed online via UPS retail prices, yes that's what it should have cost for that weight and size. My husband wasn't too busy today, and I didn't have time to drop off the box before work, so I asked him "to send it ground, the cheapest way possible." When I got home, he said it cost $67. Well surely, I thought, this was a mistake on their part. $15 and $67 are not even close. Did they send it overnight by mistake? Did they hit a wrong key somewhere, a 6 instead of a 1? What happened? I called the store and THIS was the answer to the mystery: Each store called "The UPS Store" is "individually owned" and can charge whatever insane prices they want. They can upcharge you an extra $52 bucks from what UPS charges them, to print you the label, stick it on the package, and give your box to a driver. No, no, no. That is not right. For one thing, it's called "The UPS Store" -- the average person is going to expect they're paying regular UPS prices at a place called "The UPS Store." No -- you're not. You're getting so outrageously ripped off that I can't even write this review fast enough or emphatically enough to warn you. I mean -- OK, suppose the stores are individually owned, and there has to be some kind of reasonable markup. If that's what had happened, I probably wouldn't even have noticed. If the package was supposed to cost $15 and my husband had come home and said it cost $22.50 -- and that would have been a hefty 50% markup -- I probably wouldn't have thought about it again, beyond, "Oh weird, that was more than I thought." Even with a 50% markup I wouldn't be calling the store and writing a review. $67, however? That is 447% of what UPS charges. Think about that for a second. Does any competent well-run business charge 447% to pay the overhead and earn a living? Remember that UPS's regular prices are already paying UPS's overhead, wages, trucks, etc. The store that prints the label and hands over the package does not need to charge 447%. If they do, they don't deserve to stay in business. I want to add again that the worker I talked to at the store was very nice and almost apologetic when informing me that each store sets its own rates. I could tell she knew $67 for a $15 package was messed up. But as nice as the people who work there are, I will be d****ed if I even drop off packages at that store now, knowing that this is how they do business: I will not even bring my postpaid labels there -- and I will probably stop using using UPS altogether (or "UPS stores") -- if that's how UPS trades on its own name and lets anyone charge whatever for their product. I'm still in disbelief that they had the actual gall to charge $67 for this small box. I do not recommend giving them any business. Ever. Ever. read more

Writing this review in hopes that a corporate employee handles this situation seriously. I'm sick and tired of the unprofessional acts of these drivers. I'm sorry that you're inconvenienced by doing your job. We had a dedicated driver for the longest time. Nicest guy around. Would bring packages to the front door and knock if we were home. You won't get that these days though. Please watch the video to see how your packages are being handled regularly. This lady even went as far as lying to her supervisor about how she handled this but didn't realize she had been caught on camera. Geez! I had important government documents emailed for the Fresno and Shaw location to print. When I sent them another PDF file, they told me they got it, but it was the same documents I had sent and collected in the first place! The people that emailed the documents to me in the first jumped all over me and berated me, all because UPS couldn't get their heads on straight. No wonder I rarely do business with them, but the print shop across the street, which I preferred, is closed down, so UPS better shape up or ship out (no pun intended)! read more

I've always had good service here for mailing items, Amazon returns, etc. recently I got my live scan fingerprints done by Vanessa and I had to make sure to leave a review and give her a shout out. Her customer service is 10/10 top tier and she was very patient with me with the fingerprints and all the little questions I had along the way. I recommend you call before you go in to make sure that there is someone on staff who can do finger prints and also it wouldn't hurt to ask if they are on lunch or going on lunch soon, just some tips if you're trying to go get your finger prints done and are limited on time. So, I dropped off two packages with printed USPS labels at your UPS store and the lady let me know that they would be receiptless returns. I agreed to it, because I have never had an issue before at any UPS store. So, I proceed to check the tracking on one and it's been delivered to its destination and the other one is missing. I called the store and the let the manager know. She pointed fingers at USPS, so I touched base with them on that and the manager of the woodward park USPS let me know that it's most likely that UPS didn't hand it over to them. Meanwhile the one package that I was able to track has already made it to its destination. I called the manager back and let her know the situation, but I was met with refusal to investigate on her end. I asked, if it was possible that the employee may have forgotten to put them where it was meant to be or if there was something else going on, like she didn't turn it in at all. The manager says they are being watched but both times I've been to the store, she wasn't there. When I called the store and asked to be put on the phone with her, I am met with long wait times or them hanging up on me. Don't come here if you need something scanned. The prices they charge are ridiculous. I had a document that was about 85 pages. I thought she said 9 cents per page which seemed reasonable. She comes back in less than 2 minutes and rings me out for $97. It was 99 cents PER PAGE plus another $5 just to send it to me in an email. She had already sent the email before she told me my total and refused to recall the email so I was stuck paying. The manager gave me an AARP discount which brought it down to $78, which was nice I guess but $78 for something that took TWO MINUTES is still absurd. The owner should be ashamed of himself for charging 99 cents per page for something that takes a fraction of a second and almost zero effort. They aren't using any ink or paper for scanning. If someone needs a document scanned it's usually something important and that they really need so I feel that it is taking advantage of people. Edited to add: I stopped into another UPS store to pick up a package, also in Fresno area. I asked how much they charge for scanning. They charge $5 + 18 cents per page. Completely reasonable. Why is this store charging over 5x more for the same service? If you need to go to a UPS store, I would suggest the one on W Herndon instead of these scam artists. read more

Came here to get something printed. Teana's flat energy was accompanied by a hint of rudeness that a customer would lightly pick up on. I got the feeling she didn't want to do certain tasks like the one I had just requested of her. I opted for the $6 copy of one piece of paper that had her do the work instead of the $4 that would allow me the first 10 minutes on the computer to figure it out and print it myself. Horrible service! Manager wouldn't receive boxes from any other carrier than UPS. Most UPS stores act as a receiver and just charge $5-10 to pick it up. I even called ahead to see if this location accepted boxes and I could pay the fee to pick up. I went and was spoken to sooooo rudely that I will NEVER step foot in this location again! I only wanted to send food deliver to a store with AC so it wouldn't go bad on my front porch while I was at work. Ultimately it interrupted my other deliveries and interrupted my nutrition program. I had a very quick and positive experience here. I went to return some clothes I got online. They received my clothes and handled the packaging and the return label I provided. The staff was extremely friendly and got me in and out of there in 2 minutes- which was nice because no one likes to hang out at UPS.
