VERY RUDE customer service. I've been here a few time in the last 3 years when my other mail place wasn't open and every time I was met with rude customer service like I was bothering them. Well last week I was informed my mail place is closing and I need to find another place. So it being that goin postal was the next closest spot I chose to go hear them out and the pricing for business boxes. I went this morning to drop of my packages and inquire about prices for a business box and was welcomed with "they are all regular boxes, same price no business" in an annoyed tone. I asked again if it was just regular boxes or business boxes too because usually there's a price deduction for a business box. He said "no" turned around and went to the back. That was enough for me to never go back & drive further down the way to the mail place by foodmaxx and was completely welcomed, no mean or annoyed demeaner. read more

I was needing to send a pre-paid USPS package that I was supposed to send a few days earlier and it was very challenging because the USPS don't cater to individuals who works between the hours of 7am to 5pm got out of work after 4pm. I was so happy to find this place. I called to confirm that they accept USPS drop off and the lady was very kind. When I arrived I was greeted. It's a very small space. I've driven this place a million times and never given it a thought . I sell items on ebay and struggle with dealing with going to the Clovis Post office as even tho it has improved , its murder to park, wait in a long line to ship something i've already printed a label for and payed postage . All that changed when i called Goin Postal and asked if I could drop off USPS pre-paid packages there . At no charge . Of course they said ! And it's true ! And they do it with a smile and are very friendly . the good is they also sell boxes which I used to buy from Uhaul . I'm so happy . and I will buy what shipping supplies I can from them to show my gratitude . So sad that I have to leave negative reviews. This particular location has been such a pain in the butt and heart. We have had issues with mailing Items for the second time now, leading to significant problems and loss of $$$ for both Christmas gift delivery and Amazon returns. When our Amazon return Fail occurred, we had receipts that showed that the item was mailed and, unfortunately, the best we got from them was "We mailed it." When the other recent mailing snafu occurred here around Christmas it was just a repeated rude conversation/situation with the owner. I'm tired of this. Everyone is entitled to a few mistakes here and there, but how it's handled, how and individual manages his clientele makes or breaks the business. After hundreds of experiences gone successful at other postal annex's, this missing item deal seems to only happens here. Steer clear of this business. read more

The workers last week were a joke and clearly did not want to go out of their way to help my son mail a package to Illinois. He asked a question and they answer with a question. Then the females reply "that is completely up to you" ummm yeah we know that it is up to us. We were asking for your professional opinion but apparently that is asking too much. Never going back! I have been a customer/patron for YEARS. To be honest, I infrequently purchase shipping labels or supplies or use their packing services- though I have dozens of times. I REGULARLY come in to drop off packages with prepaid labels and I'm always treated kindly and with respect even though I may not purchase that day. I've overheard MANY a conversation the staff has with paying customers and I'm always impressed with their professionalism and courtesy. My personal experiences have also been stellar. 100% of my packages are delivered, every single one scanned from leaving the store. I have had them package some items that have been too hard for me for fear of breakage and they arrived at their destination unbroken having been well packaged. My kids used to run some packages in for drop off and the staff sometimes offered them a small candy treat like a sucker which they were super excited to receive (they asked me first if it was okay). I'll continue to patron Goin Postal for years to come. read more

Place is a huge scam. I went to ship something and the guy tried to charge me $50 for just the box because it was shipping to the East Coast. Much easier and cheaper to go to your local USPS since they have a flat rate. read more

I have shipped several packages from this store before without incident, however I shipped two packages on November 21 that have since gone missing and it has been a nightmare ever since. I was contacted by the person that I sent the package to that they had not received the item yet so I immediately contacted both USPS and Goin' Postal. The USPS was adamant that the packages must still be at the store because they hadn't been scanned in and received by the postal service yet. When I spoke to a gentleman at Goin' Postal, he immediately got defensive and insisted that they had already been picked up by the post office and must have missed the scan. I was trying to explain the situation and his way of handling my issue was to talk over me and continue to raise his voice. At one point, he actually just set the phone down without telling me he needed to put me on hold and I could hear him helping other customers in the background. Absolutely horrible customer service! I shipped two packages from your store, meaning that at the point that I hand over my packages to you, I am ensuring that you will take responsibility to get them where they need to go. When my packages go missing and I call to inquire what happened to the packages, getting defensive and rude is not the appropriate way to handle any issues when you work in customer service. I had to file a missing mail claim with USPS and the packages have supposedly been scanned and sent out on December 7 so according to USPS, the packages sat at the store until December 7. read more

I really don't understand the past reviews here. I have been coming here for over a year now and have used everything from local and international shipping as well as the notary services . This is great locally owned business with always pleasant and professional customer service . Don't complain about prices being higher than going to USPS directly , of course you have to pay for the convenience in dorm way. Last few times I have been to a UPS or fedex store close by, there is always some younger staff yakking away with their friends in the store instead of focusing on their customers. A shipping company should scan in the first couple of hours. Something fishy or did someone misplace it? I went to ship a gift to a friend the Saturday before Christmas. It was not busy, only one or two other people in the store. The guy at the counter just grabbed the package and put it on another counter by his pizza. When I asked for a receipt he looked shocked, but printed one out. He handed it to me and started talking to someone else in the store. The receipt didn't have a tracking number, and as far as I know my friend still hasn't received her gift. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

Regarding the other reviews... are we discussing the same place? I've been using Goin' Postal for about four years now and have never once had an issue with customer service or reliability. There WAS one time that USPS somehow lost a package I had paid for to be over-nighted in their system, but the owner of Goin Postal was able to look up that particular package based on the approximate date of mailing, and found that the package was sitting in a USPS facility in the city of delivery. He even helped me fight the charges once the package was finally delivered because the recipient had filed an eBay claim on me. It was a mess that our "oh-so-reliable" government-run post office fudged, but he took the time to help me square away my claim and clear my good name as an eBay shipper. I ship at least a dozen times a month through that store, and have always received great service, and the prices are about the same as any other place in town. Some of their boxes are a bit more expensive, but if you don't like it then Office Depot is right down the street. I always box up before I head to the shipping office anyways, because it will ALWAYS be more expensive to pack at the store. Also, get a tracking number. That's good advice for ANY shipping office though. It only costs around a dollar and will guarantee that both you and the recipient can keep track of where the package is. Also, if it gets lost along the way, it can help you both pinpoint where in the chain it disappeared. read more

This store is right by my house so I come in frequently to drop off mail. The past few times the employees have been ok- not rude but by no means friendly. I came in the evening of 7/30 to get something notarized. The employee was on her personal cell phone the whole time having a conversation about food with her kid. She made me feel like I was an inconvenience. She was no help and extremely rude. Good costumer service and friendliness should be extremely important- especially for a family owned business like this one. I will never be back and I would not be surprised if this place went out of business. read more

First time dealing with an amazon return and I messed it all up. The kind man at yhe store walked me through the return process, and actually saved me 16 dollars. Summer I had the same experience there, but my package ended up back at my own house instead of where i was sending it! The guy told me they don't have receipts there. How are you supposed to prove you actually mailed something without a receipt? I don't like their way of doing business, and on top of that he also dropped me like a hot potato when a younger, more attractive customer came into the store. Won't go back. read more
