Service here is always quick. I've never had to wait long despite lines and the people are employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Today I had to request an old purchase for a company reimbursement from two months ago. I called down and the person who answered immediately assisted. I'm from out of town, but I visit Eureka often. I've been here several times, and I've always been treated great. They offer a lot of things, including shipping, of course, you can have items copied, printed, faxed, they have a notary, you can rent a mailbox, etc.... I've never had a problem with Amazon returns. Under most situations, all you have to do is come in have your Amazon return code scanned, and just hand them the item. It's a rare situation where Amazon makes you pack the item yourself to return it. Packing and shipping prices are reasonable, and they also offer a military discount. Thanks for the help. read more

I don't normally write yelp reviews and actually created an account for this one. For work I have to ship UPS overnight as I ship frozen materials, for which I've carefully followed all the UPS rules regarding dry ice labeling, amounts, and venting. Never-the-less a UPS Store employee told me I was going to blow up the plane and after l dropped off my package damaged it by punching large holes in the box and cooler so all the cold leaked out and contents did not arrive frozen. When I spoke with the manager they suggested I use the UPS dropoff at the distribution center. There they rolled their eyes at all the hassle I had been given by the UPS Store and for over a year took my packages and delivered them with zero problems. When they closed that office I went back to the UPS Store and talked with the manager to make sure I could ship there. Even so I had issues with 2 more shipments despite following the guidelines on the UPS website, with another package being intentionally damaged. The customer service reps seemed uninformed as to UPS policies (twice - over a year apart - told that dry ice within the allowed amount was going to blow up the plane). I now use Eureka Pack and Ship who have far better customer service and have had zero issues with my shipments since I switched. read more

I dropped off a large package for a Amazon return yesterday morning. I had to lean my back into the front door while holding the large box to be able to get in. As I exited, I noticed there were about 8 big blotches of dried spit on the outside of the door. I mentioned the spit to the two clerks and one responded that there was poop outside too. I told him that I had leaned into all the spit on my way in. They made no effort to clean the spit after I had told them. Apparently they didn't care enough to think to clean it up. Think how many other customers will be inadvertently touching spit as they enter. Apathetic and disgusting. read more

The experience with this store before this one is explained in the attached picture. It was fine, and I am glad that they were able to contact me. I resent the label and everything was fine. I was not upset that they misplaced the label, and I did not make a big deal out of it. I brought in an Amazon return today. I have been frustrated with UPS's relationship to Amazon for a long time or Amazon's relationship to UPS. I am not a CEO or board member, so I do not know whose fault it is. The picture attached is the cause for this review, and the one star is for a woman who treated me like an incompetent space-head who could not understand instructions. The circled instruction simply gives a general description of how to pack a box. The woman must have been looking for a win that day or looking to slam-dunk on someone, but she almost jumped up and down when I read it out loud, and she thought she was proven correct. If a box is required for a return, then the instructions should clearly state: This return requires a box in addition to the original box packaging (I was returning a space heater that had an original box packaging with foam and such on the inside of the box. UPS said I had to buy an additional box. Amazon chat support seemed to say that was not the case. My issue is with the wording and the eagerness of the UPS woman to prove herself correct). But nowhere during the Amazon online return process, or in the email sent to me, or in the instructions included with the return email, nowhere did it specifically say: this return requires a box in addition to the original packaging (even if the original packaging is a box with foam and such). Nowhere did Amazon state that. So, I'm not sure why the woman was so eager to be right. Also, the reason an additional box is required is because packages are treated like footballs and are tossed around and jammed into vehicles. The person behind the counter who was helping me should be given a $5-an-hour raise. He was cool and calm and tried to point out where to find the info, and he was calm while directing me how to get him the correct page where his wand could read the return code. I have a degree in philosophy of language with a minor in communication theory from a top-ranked UC, and I have a Master of Fine Arts in writing, so the issue was not that I misunderstood the instructions or did not read them. When I was told I needed a box, I became frustrated and did not communicate well, even though I have a degree in it. The issue is in how the instructions are worded and with a UPS employee being too eager to be right. 5 stars and a $5-an-hour raise for the guy behind the register. The experience was so frustrating that I ended my Prime Membership. The worst part about this is I always feel worse about myself after situations like these. I don't feel good about getting upset with customer service people even if I am accurate in my assessment of things. read more

Beware of anti-mask employees If you have any sort of pre existing condition which you wear a mask to try to prevent contracting and dying from COVID I suggest avoiding this store and opt for FedEx or USPS. My wife was ridiculed by employees for wearing a mask into this location and came home in tears because of the way she was treated in your store. She must wear a mask due to high risk of complications if she were to contract COVID. I'm sorry, but your employees (at least those working at approximately 11:30 am today February 18, 2022) are rude, inconsiderate and frankly stupid if they believe it is appropriate to ridicule someone who wears a mask. This was my first time utilizing this UPS store for an Amazon return. It was a bit tricky to find using my GPS but I knew I was close, so I gave them a quick call. Someone answered right away and let me know that this particular store is in between the O'Reilly's auto parts store and BevMo! I thanked the rep and circled back to their shop. This was a teeny tiny location with a vacant storefront next door. I was in and out if the shop super quick, and even got a receipt for my return. It's worth noting that because the storefront beside it is vacant, it appeared to be a camp site for a couple of homeless people, who had strewn garbage all along the walkway to the shop. This does not reflect on the shop itself, as it is a very common occurrence in Eureka. Great service here, just a little rough on the outside and tricky to find! read more

Here we go again. UPS just delivered someone else's package to us in McKinleyville. Usually, it's the opposite, and we have to go "shopping" all over the neighborhood. Now, I'll load this very heavy package in my car and deliver it to the correct address. If we would be allowed to contact the Eureka delivery warehouse, we probably could get these wrong deliveries fixed the same day. But, alas, UPS won't provide this contact information. So, "dinging" the UPS Store appears to be my only way to get your attention. read more

They have notary service every day for $10, they will let you know if it will be less expensive with the USPS, they offer lamination service, cards for different occasions, and so on. It's locally owned by a sweet family and an all around friendly place to do business. read more

I typically just use this for Amazon returns and they get the job done but every worker there truly seems like they would rather be anywhere else in the world. Don't expect a "how can i help you?" or even a smile when you walk in or get helped. They also are never wearing masks when I come in. They will quickly put them on if a customer walks in and were unsurprisingly closed for a COVID outbreak in the last few weeks. I think with how many people frequent that store, they should be a little more respectful of the mask guidelines. read more

Before moving to Eureka, I had no problems with UPS, which I used quite frequently both in my personal and business affairs. However, upon relocating to Humboldt, I have come to find that not all UPS locations offer the same quality of service and convenience. My first experience with UPS in Humboldt was a disaster, as the driver pretended to be unable to locate the address, despite the fact that it was clearly visible on the building's exterior. The fact is, the UPS driver was just "too busy" to do the delivery and they thought to force me to come to their store to retrieve my item. This was not a possibility due to the circumstances of my situation. So I have avoided, whenever possible, using UPS after this. However, one is not always able to avoid the use of awful businesses, particularly when one is a paying customer and the vendor ships an item to UPS. Unfortunately, I had to return an item recently. This necessitated locating a UPS drop box, the only one of which appears to be located at the very site of the UPS customer center itself. Why they would have chosen to locate the only drop off box in the area at precisely the location one must travel to physically deliver and/or ship an item, one can only guess. Perhaps it is the notoriously thievish local tweaker populace that has forced this. Whatever the cause, IT SEEMS RATHER POINTLESS TO LOCATE THE ONLY DROP BOX IN THE AREA BEHIND A BARBED WIRE FENCE AT THE SAME SITE WHERE ONE CAN SHIP PACKAGES. Really guys. Just WTF are you thinking? If I can't drop off a package AT MY CONVENIENCE, then WHY EVEN HAVE A DROP BOX at all? Only the inbred top minds of this area could possibly conceive of such absurdities. read more

My last 4 deliveries were damaged by the drivers not paying attention to the fragile tag that is on my box. I've had to contact the company 4 different times for a replacement. One of the times 2 wks ago the driver threw my packages against my door which busted several of my products. I understand that the drivers have a big job but they still need to pay attention to what they are doing and pay attention the the stickers on the packages. read more

I was quoted a price of $12(ish) to ship an item on a Friday by a young man when I was in the store. On Monday I brought the item in to ship...it was more than double the quote at $26! I told the same kid behind the counter what I was quoted, he said, "I don't know who would of told you that." When I told him it was HIM he responded, "I don't know what you're talking about." Things cost what they cost, I paid it. But his tone was so rude and accusatory. I was surprised when the manager who was behind the counter, watching this transaction didn't get involved. Voicing my complaint to her at that point seemed pointless since she heard all the details. I'll be using USPS for my future shipping needs. While traveling thru Eureka my friend needed to receive and respond to a fax. We went to the UPS store on Broadway and they did handle the faxing properly, however now my friend is receiving frequent spam phone calls to her cell phone from the Eureka Area and prefix code. The UPS store is the only place in Eureka she gave her cell phone number to. If you do business with these people, DO NOT give them your cell phone number. read more

Went to go delivery a package and the customer service was great. I called 2 days later and the same young gentleman answered the phone but this time he was useless and didn't know what I was talking about. He told me one thing and guaranteed me a delivery date but denied he said that when I told him about it. My receipt has a guaranteed date but he is still telling me that he never guaranteed me that my package would get there on time. I could have paid the regular fee instead of the 2 day shipping if I knew my package would get there the same day. I understand that packaged sometimes get delayed but I was upset with the way he was responding to me, assuming I was lying about what he told me. read more

The workers in the store are quite friendly. Unfortunately they don't keep standard business hours, closing on somewhat random days. For instance, they are closed on holidays as you would expect, but they also like to close up shop the day BEFORE each holiday. They don't publicize or explain this odd business practice in any way, they just lock the door for two days. This can be quite frustrating for someone who needs to ship or receive a package before Christmas or New Year's Day. read more

What a great place!!!!! -- I needed to send something back to Amazon and as soon as I tried to print the return label, my printer said it was out of ink. So I had no way of printing a label.I called the store and asked how I could deal with this problem and the girl cheerfully said I can print it for you. So I forwarded the label to them in an email and they printed the label . So I brought my item to the store in a box and they wrapped it up, put the label on it and sent it back to Amazon. She did the packing so fast it made my head spin . When you figure how much of a hassle it is to keep packing supplies around the house and get them out and cut the tape and all of the other stuff; it's so nice to just show up with the item and let them do it their way. When you see someone who does it everyday do it in seconds -- it makes you see why you pay them . I really like this place and am going to do all of my ups shipping through them in the future . In my opinion it's the only way to go . read more
