Later, I received an email from Velofix saying the time was actually 11 AM-1 PM, but I didn't notice the change right away. On the morning of the appointment, I called Velofix to clarify, and the representative told me it was too late to adjust anything and that I should've contacted them earlier. I let it go and agreed to keep the 11-1 window, rearranging my work schedule to be available. No one showed up. At 1:30 PM, I had to call my wife to let her know, and she followed up with Velofix -- only to be told the case had been closed because the service was "out of scope." No one informed me. I was literally on the phone with them that same morning and they said nothing about not coming. This whole experience showed a complete lack of communication and disregard for people's time. I won't be using Velofix again and wouldn't recommend them.

One of them said we were low on freon and tried to bend us over for 500 bucks, and when I got a second opinion the second big company said the freon level was fine. Neither of them fixed the machine, one said they wanted 15 grand for a new system, and the other was not helpful either. So after years living with a cold house and using emergency heat, I called this company and Tony sent Gabriel out and he put a capacitor on the machine and it works so well I can't even imagine it. Mine you we installed a pellet stove because of how bad this heater is, well our heater works fine, but the two large heating companies that work in Petaluma are horrible, I wont mention names. The one named after a guys name in the garden of eden wasn't as bad as the other company, but they wont even service you two months out they are so busy. These guys came within hours. After talking to Martin I gave them a shot, very satisfied, bill under 400 dollars and the heater works better then ever.

I understand they are a business and that they have the legal right to charge a handling fee. My issue isn't that they charged a fee, it's just that $20.00 feels excessive for simply handing over a package that was already there. In a small community, moments like these are an opportunity to build good will and customer loyalty. A more reasonable fee or a small handling fee would have left a much better impression. Instead I walked away feeling like a small mistake became an unnecessary expense. I respect their right to run their business as they see fit, but this experience left me disappointed.

How utterly mortifying…read more Last evening which was Friday at around 6:45, it was 98 degrees in Cloverdale; taking note of the pool sign which states it is open until 7:45 on Friday and Saturdays, my husband and I decided to take a swim. There were residents nearby playing on the bocce ball court when a woman who claims to be a director yelled out "get them out of there". My husband and I are new in the Clover Springs community and it was our first time in the pool. I can't begin to tell you how embarrassed we were and made to feel as though we were doing something very wrong. We will be looking into this incident further; quite possible that this is the wrong community for us to live.
