Went to drop off some Amazon returns. Staff was very efficient and pleasant when helping the other customers. I had three identical returns. My return was complicated by the scanner repeating that I had already scanned an item. The staff helped me out and was able to point me to how to get the other codes that I needed for the identical returns. Awesome service! read more

On March 22nd, I stopped by the store to send a storage unit key to Charlotte, NC. An employee who was helping me put the key in an envelope and told me that my envelope will be deliver on Saturday for $13+. I said great and I paid for the shipping and left. On Sunday morning I received a call from the person that would be receiving the key told me that the key wasn't delivered. The person who came from another city needed the key to access the storage room. I ended up getting in my car and drove to Charlotte to unlock the storage space (400 miles run trip). On monday morning I called UPS to see what happened to my key and where was it? I was told that the address in the envelope was not correct and the envelope will be delivered on Monday afternoon. I have sent packages to the same address many times with no issue. On March 26th I stopped by the store to find out why my envelope didn't arrive on time? Manager was out, and she called me later. The Manager told me that my key was shipped ground and it wasn't guaranteed to be in Charlotte on Saturday. I told her that the employee never told me there wasn't a guaranteed when the envelope would arrive in Charlotte, otherwise I would have changed the shipping method. The conversation wasn't going anywhere and she was pretty much telling me it was my fault and she didn't want to hear me out. Here is the big issue, when we called UPS to track the envelope we were told that there was a problem with the address. But the store manager said there wasn't guarantee for envelope to arrive on Saturday. So who is right? The UPS rep that I called or the store manager? I know one thing that my whole weekend got wasted. Thank you read more

I honestly can't believe this place doesn't have better reviews the three ladies who were working, Chantel, and two others whose names I didn't catch were so kind and accommodating for me and my 11 month old daughter, as we tried to get our passport photos. They did the impossible even with the store full of people and were so kind in the process. read more

Always had quick service at this location; in and out within a couple of minutes. Have been several times for Amazon returns and never had an issue. Used their notary service once ($5 per notarization) and the lady was very quick and friendly. Only negative is it can be difficult getting out of the parking lot onto Savannah Hwy, especially during rush hour traffic times. read more

This store is not helpful, first their staff gave me a different information then when we dropped off the item- thy gave me another rule. How come that even the manager can't help, instead of helping the customer he keep saying they can't do it. Now I know why the ratings are too low because they dont know how do customer service. Philip (tall, Caucasian male with glasses) was VERY RUDE! When I politely asked for assistance with returning a package he looked at me and then walked away. A fellow employee had to help me, and thankfully she was nice, and seemed also confused by Philip's nastiness. 0/10 experience, and I usually have a quick and pleasant experience every time I go to ups. It had to have been a mistake, went there with a Manila envelope to mail up north. Told me it was $6 and change. Thought it was a bit much but was told it is due to the metal clasp, it had to be handled by hand. Ok, left thought about it, went back, and was still told it was due to metal clasp. I told them my wife always mails these at Post Office for under $2 . Was told that's them! Ok, took back my envelope, went to Post Office, cost... $1.30 !!! Terrible experience. I came in wanting to ship two items to different addresses. The staff were closing the store despite it being open for another 20 mins. They made the process of getting my details and pulling up my account painful, and then were so obstreperous about pulling up an address that I have shipped to on my account many times before, that I ended up just giving up and leaving, which I am sure was their intent. I have had better customer service than this at the DMV! read more

I've only used this location of the UPS store for dropping off packages to be mailed, but the staff is friendly and helpful. I do wish this location had more parking. They need to trim the palms by the road, because it makes it very difficult to see oncoming traffic on Savannah Highway. read more

I work from home and went here to ship a computer to my home office in another city in South Carolina. Apparently, if your business has a UPS account, you cannot use it here and have to take your package to the North Charleston center for shipping. I had no clue and ended up having to pay out of pocket (my company reimburses me, but still). The workers weren't very apologetic, and the prices also seemed rather expensive. It should not cost almost $60 to ship a computer even with insurance and having to buy a box. Next time I will go straight to North Charleston and just skip this location. read more

On a day when all delivery services were closed down for hurricane Matthew they stayed open late for me to drop off my packages. The guy I spoke with was really awesome for helping me out! If you are sending anything valuable, please A) Get insurance B) Have them pack it. I sent some valuable comic books that were graded in a hard plastic. Wrapped in bubble tape (I thought it was enough) the issue was that the receiver gave me the wrong address - so the package was sent back to me. I had to pay for shipping again (with out opening it) finally it arrived. When it did it was broken. The package then went through a nightmare of moves crossing Charleston to NY 5 times before it was even checked. When they finally checked it my damage claim was denied. I'm now waiting to get them back. I lost the value of rating the comic books $120, and $32 in shipping costs. And now I have damaged goods and nothing to show for it. Becareful and don't trust anything. Double check everything and have them signed off that they packed it. This doesn't include the terrible time I had tracking down the package. I've never had an experience at a UPS store that make me wanna YELP! I was in town for a birthday, which I'd had the present sent from Amazon to Charleston, SC for the birthday boy. As luck would have it, I get to his apartment and BAM he already has one. I returned it online and conveniently found this location just a mile away. I'd planned my day to include at least a 20 minute stop here but as soon as I walked in, I was greeted and a second associate appeared to assist me with my return. It literally only took two minutes for him to scan, verify the destination, and give me a tracking number. They had many other services you would think of in a shopping store such as shredding, book binding, and more. read more

I have been twice to this location. I know that every UPS store is not as shady as this one. I am no stranger to shipping as I sell a lot of things on the internet. I am somewhat new to the area so this place is new to me. The first time they took me on a box, after explaining that UPS's insurance wouldn't cover any damages unless you use a box with proper rating, which they sell. I was tired of running around so I bought it. I knew better. I paid around $9 or $10 for their box, same exact box is $1.97 at Home Depot. I also had them run a quote on shipping that same visit. I checked at home before using them because it sounded high, it was inflated $30! I went to FedEx. Yesterday, I ran a quote online via UPS before going to this location again. I had to drop off my package at the store anyway, so I thought I may just do it all in one spot, purchase my shipping and have them make a label. It was running very close to pick up. I brought in my parcel in a bicycle box. The box contained a couple cardboard door panels inside, and weighed around 20 lbs. The man at the counter measured once, ran the rate, said nothing, then measured again. When he remeasured I noticed he was measuring from the 2" marker area, and had his thumb over the rest in an attempt to deceive. After re-entering the measurements, which I found odd, he said calmly, $143. Now, this was to ship to VA. I asked him why so high, he said it was because of the size. I asked him what he measured, and it was indeed not correct. I took his measuring tape, and measured in front of him the correct dimensions. He claimed it had to be rounded up for some reason that made no sense. I knew he was wrong. I snatched my box up from him, and told him never mind. I took my parcel to FedEx, they measured it, came up with the same obvious, and easy measurement. $39, is what it cost to ship. This experience had nothing to do with UPS or FedEx, but it has everything to do with the UPS store on HWY 17, across from Early BIrd Diner. BEWARE! read more

I recently shipped a wedding gift to CA and was stunned when I was told the price (roughly $100) to ship a framed print. When I asked why so high, I was told the size of the box. I mentioned checking the price at Fed Ex and USPS and was told it would be the same price, not to waste my time. Having my 2 year old with me, I reluctantly decided to go ahead a ship. Yesterday I get a call from the store asking me to come pick up the package. When I arrive I was told that my friend did not pick up the package within their 5 day window, so they sent it back. 5 days? in the middle of summer? I asked why is wasn't left with their doorman as every other package they receive is and was told it is not UPS's policy and they also will not leave boxes on the steps for fear it will get stolen. The man was down right rude, never once apologized or seemed at all interested in being helpful. In fact, when I asked what my options were, he said "You can try resending it for another $100." When I spoke to my friend, he indicated it has never been a problem receiving a package from UPS, as packages are always left with their doorman. Clearly this staff has no clue how to run a business appropriately and their customer service could not been more poor. My review--steer clear of this particular UPS store. read more

The owner is extremely shady, was supposed to receive a refund of a little over $20 for a package that wasn't delivered on time. When I went in with the claim, the owner personally took the information, saw it wasn't delivered on time and said a check would be mailed to be in 10 days. When I called inquiring about my check, owner now says it was mailed on time. To top it off, owner was yelling at me and basically called me an idiot. This is by far the sketchiest UPS I have ever been to. The facility is rundown and they didn't know what they were doing. Secondly, their prices are very expensive - it cost $4.00 to scan two items and email them (as one PDF). They charge a set up fee...set up for what? I've used UPS before and they typically only charge for the service itself - .25 per page. I most certainly will never use this UPS again and I highly advise the same for others. read more
