I chose one-time service as a private customer, they do business service as well. The rep asked about how much do I think I will have to shred. She was very helpful and told me it would be cheaper to bring the documents to the designated location she will provide and it is a flat rate of $75 per 95 gallon bin. Hey that was a no brained since on-site shredding is more expensive. Plus they can provide a Certificate of Destruction for verification. She then asked for my zip code and gave me the closest location which is in Ladson and provided the address. There is no direct phone number probably for security purposes. Hey I loaded up 5 bags to shred and drove to Shred-it. Location is very secure. The front door is locked so you have to knock to get buzzed in. You tell them what you have and fill out 1 sheet of paper provide your credit card and then you are directed where to take your documents. So I drive around the building through open security gate and a gentleman rolls out a 95 gallon bin we load everything into it and he takes it inside their location and I drive off. In an arrogant manner, she stated her name was Kim, informed me that the manager would only be available the following day, and even spelled her name in front of other customers, which made the situation more embarrassing.I would like to note that the initial service when I dropped off my order the day before, assisted by a very kind employee, was professional. However, this later experience with Kim was quite disappointing. I explained to Kim that there was no need to treat me that way, as customers should not be addressed in such a manner. I put one bag from that day in and they didn't pick it up again Friday. I said to hell with it it's one bag. Then the next Friday rolls around and I'M SKIPPED AGAIN!!! I call and call and call they say that I'm in the route. HOW ARE DRIVERS ALLOWED TO CLOCK OUT WITHOUT FINISHING THEIR JOB?!? CONTINUOUSLY!!!! Now I'm moving out of that place and into an apartment. I set a bulk pick up order and they PROMISED me it would be done Friday. Surprise surprise it wasn't! I'm now waiting for a supervisor (still waiting for them to call me from last week) because if it's not done I'm getting fined through my property management company. And I will be sending them the bill because that is not my fault. I did everything correctly.
